Jake's enthusiasm for greeting guests at Starlight Amusement Park noticeably increased over the next few days.
He made sure to glance at every guest who bought a ticket to enter the park.
If he encountered a guest who was well-dressed and carried himself with a gentlemanly demeanor, Jake would immediately strike up a conversation, eager to uncover every detail about their family history.
Jake diligently searched for the Special Guest amidst the crowds, but with little success.
While he encountered several social elites, none seemed to possess the kind of renowned fame he was looking for.
"System, can't you give me a few more hints?" Jake asked, somewhat helplessly.
"Ding, the appearance of the Special Guest is beyond the System's control; I cannot provide an accurate time of arrival!"
"Alright, then what good are you?" Jake waved his hand, feeling drained.
...
Just as Jake was bickering with the system, a young man slowly walked into Starlight Amusement Park.
The young man was dressed casually, and his handsome face gave him a approachable, boy-next-door vibe.
As he walked, many girls glanced at him repeatedly.
Unfortunately for the girls, the young man seemed to have a severe case of facial paralysis!
His face looked as if it had undergone countless cosmetic surgeries, as stiff as a brick, unable to express any emotion. Even his eyes lacked any emotional fluctuations, as calm as two bright, clear glass marbles.
"Young Master, this is Starlight Amusement Park, where you used to come as a child. Perhaps you can find something you lost here,"
Behind the young man, a middle-aged man in a crisp suit spoke, his face filled with obsequiousness.
The young man didn't reply, simply nodded slightly, and strolled leisurely through Starlight Amusement Park, looking here and there as if he were truly searching for something.
"It's changed a lot," the young man said coldly.
The middle-aged butler nodded and said with emotion, "Yes, this used to be the most popular place for children in Riverdale, but now it's become like this!"
The two walked to the Hyper Velocity Coaster.
"Young Master, you remember how much you loved the roller coaster here, right? Every time you came, you would drag me to ride with you!" the middle-aged butler said with a smile.
The young man nodded, his eyes still emotionless. "I have some memory of it."
"Then how about we relive those feelings? Perhaps it might help with your condition!" the middle-aged butler asked tentatively.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
The young man frowned slightly. "Never mind… Let's just do it to pass the time."
"Then let's go, Young Master!" The middle-aged butler said with excitement.
The two walked to the Hyper Velocity Coaster. Since there was no line, they went straight onto the platform.
Just then, the roller coaster hadn't started yet, and there were plenty of empty seats.
Liam walked over with two liability waiver forms, explaining the details and rewards of riding the Hyper Velocity Coaster.
The young man didn't even glance at Liam, remaining expressionless, and signed his name on the liability waiver form casually.
Liam was stunned for a moment, then glared at the young man, annoyed.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?"
The young man shook his head.
The middle-aged butler quickly said with a smile, "Young man, our Young Master hasn't been in the best mood lately, don't take it to heart!"
"Why is he taking it out on me because he isn't in a good mood?" Liam said unhappily. "I'm wasting my breath for your own good. If you don't listen and suffer later, don't complain to me!"
The young man didn't even give Liam a proper look, walking straight toward an empty seat on the roller coaster.
After expressing a slight apology, the middle-aged butler quickly turned and followed the young man, sitting in the empty seat next to him.
Liam snorted coldly. After settling the other guests, he walked into the control room with an unpleasant expression.
Mike saw his expression and asked curiously, "Liam, what's wrong?"
"Some guest ignored everything I said, it's pissing me off!" Liam pouted.
"Haha," Mike said with a faint smile. "What's so surprising? He'll regret not listening to you soon enough!"
"That's right," Liam said. The thought of the young man throwing up his last meal after getting off the roller coaster immediately improved his mood. With a mischievous grin, he urged Mike to start the roller coaster quickly, because he was growing impatient.
Mike checked the roller coaster, made sure there were no safety issues, and gently pressed the start button!
The roller coaster immediately took the guests away from the platform. As it climbed to the highest point of the track, the engine roared, and it began to plunge downward, instantly accelerating to its maximum speed!
The guests didn't even have time to scream!
"Hahaha," Seeing this, Liam couldn't hold it back any longer and burst into laughter, clutching his stomach.
"Laugh a little and that's enough, don't keep laughing!" Mike nudged Liam. "You'll have to help them get off later. Don't let him see you, or he'll complain, and the boss will dock your pay. Then let's see if you can still laugh!"
Liam's expression turned serious, and his laughter instantly disappeared.
However, the joyful expression on his face didn't fade, clearly suppressing his laughter!
Half a minute was certainly an extremely long time for the guests on the roller coaster, but it was just enough time for Liam and Mike to say a few words.
In the blink of an eye, the roller coaster had already begun to decelerate and slowly enter the platform.
Liam waited eagerly on the platform, his eyes fixed on the slowly approaching roller coaster.
As the roller coaster came to a stop, a group of weak-limbed, dizzy guests crawled off.
Liam rejoiced inwardly, and began to search for the young man among the guests.
However, a single glance revealed that the young man wasn't among them.
Just as Liam was puzzled, Mike patted him on the shoulder and pointed into the distance with a dazed expression.
"Liam, look!!!"
Liam looked over instinctively.
The person Mike was telling him to look at was the young man he had been searching for so desperately.
He had searched for him a thousand times in his dreams, then, turning his head, he found the man was right there in the midst of lights!
However, this young man was not slumped on the ground as he had imagined, constantly vomiting, but rather stood tall among the guests like a crane standing among chickens, his expression still that of an annoying, off-putting, world-weary face.
Time passed second by second, and the young man continued to stand there, seemingly completely unaffected by the Hyper Velocity Coaster.
Liam's mouth was wide open, and he suddenly didn't know what to say.
Mike took a deep breath, then took out a cell phone from his pocket, dialed Jake's number, and shouted into the phone.
"Boss, something bad has happened!"
"A guest on the Hyper Velocity Coaster has passed the challenge we set up!"
"Come over and see what to do!"
