The Beast Grimoire

Sang hissed slightly at my suggestion she–I'm calling it a she, she said that my blood had a lot of impurities that were slowly being burnt away by the passive blood purification. How she told me, well the more she drinks my blood the more I think I can understand her. She said I can't use any techniques requiring Mana.

Now I am currently inside of an old book store that was run by a dwarf. "Yian, good morning."

The dwarf gave me a glance and greeted back. "Hey kiddo, you seem a bit...darker, what do you need?."

I gave out a slight helpless smile. "Yeah, I was in the sun for three days straight and I lost my job...so I thought I might find a book that would help me explore the wilderness outside, I think it's time for me to learn more about...monsters and beasts."

The dwarves eyes narrowed and then he sighed. "Boy, you have used a Taboo technique, I can smell the curse of one on you."

I froze as he said that, slowly I scratched the back of my head. "I had no choice...sorry if I offended you."

The dwarf scoffed. "Oh please, you ain't the only one who have used such a thing in this town, even that innocent looking High elf has one, that is why she was banished from the Yggdrasil continent."

...huh, that is an interestingfact. "O-Oh...uhm so about my request."

Yian sighed and then brought out a book with a black cover and was called. The Beast Grimoire. "Kid you are too weak to face such beasts or even explore the wilderness, Since you seem like someone who won't use power for evil, I'll give you the beast grimoire."

Beast Grimoire?. I was a bit perplexed, was it a book that summons beasts?. "What is it."

Yiam smiled. "This is a Taboo artifical, similar to a Taboo technique but completely different, this Taboo Artificat in particular will pull your consciousness into the body of a beast and you would have to live through the lifespan of that beast till the end...or you just die and come out, then you try again, this book helps one to understand the behaviours of a beast."

Okay, thay was not what I was expecting but why would he recommend this book for me. "Oh, but why are you lending me it?."

Yian rolled his eyes and then took on a serious face. "Kid...I can't use this since I would be noticed by 'her', you have a pure soul untainted by any spiri Taboo techniques and this artifact was a thing my friend risked her life to scribe...and this Taboo Artificat isn't really a taboo...it's just the being it is based off on is Taboo...just take it, I don't want to look at it anymore Dal."

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

I looked into the eyes of the dwarf, there was a deep sadness in them and he had no choice but to accept it. He took the book from thr desk and handed it to me with his hands outstretched.

I took the book from his hand and bowed. "Thank you."

Yian merely waved his hands I turned around to leave.

When I was finally outside, I went to my house and then I to my romm and sat crossed legged as I slowly opened the book.

[May the Blessings of the Life Mother grace us]

[Hello, my name is Dirin Holectis, I am the author of the beast grimoire and a member of the Imp race, you know when I was writing this book, I felt I was insane myself. Uncovering ,studying and learning the patterns and behaviors of all monsters and beasts in this world was not something the sane would do...but do you know what the insane would do?. They would write a book using divine and taboo runes to stimulate a fake world where one can experience the life of a beast, learn its instincts, and perhaps even understand the deeper connection between all living things. I poured my very essence into this grimoire, hoping that one day, someone with a pure heart would wield it not for power, but for understanding.]

[The process is simple, yet potentially dangerous. Focus your intent on a specific page, a specific beast, and allow your consciousness to be drawn into the tapestry of its existence. You will experience its life, its struggles, its triumphs. You will feel the sun on its scales, the wind through its fur, the hunger in its belly. You will learn in a way no book or teacher could ever convey.]

[Be warned, young reader. The life of a beast is often brutal and short. You may face predators, starvation, or the harsh indifference of nature. You may die many times within these pages. But each experience, each life lived, will grant you a deeper insight, a primal understanding that transcends mere knowledge.]

[Use this gift wisely. Seek understanding, not mastery. Respect the delicate balance of the wild, and perhaps, in time, you will find your place within it.]

  [May your journey be enlightening.]

"Such detailed handwriting and the introduction is...long." sang hissed as she burrowed out of my body and appeared on top of my head, she was still small but I could feel she has increased her size a bit.

I turned to the next page and the first image I saw was that of an egg that had swirling patterns around it.

I thought about it for a second and didn't think it was that bad.

I stared at the egg for a few seconds before I felt a slight suction in my mind.

  ...

The great river flows crimson red, the eyes of mother opens as she slowly placed a piece of consciousness into a white egg with black spiral patterns.

Mother yawned, her large form gently rested against a gargantuan tree that reaches above even the void, her veiled covered face could not be seen and her six arms hugged the tree.

Her large tail hit the ground and her horns scraped against the sleep, her figure was humanoid but she herself was inhuman.

On top her head was a woman with red amhair and eyes slowly writing in a book that read. 'Life Grimoire'.

The woman had red skin and a single horn, her tail was thin and had a heart shaped pointed end. She frowned. "Tsk, this one has one of thr Imp clans Taboo techniques, it smells like Dragine...and also that blood worm....how the hell did he make an Artificial divine beast."

This woman was Dirin Holectis, she frowned and then her pen wrote something in the air. "Well, it seem I might have to place him in a highly difficult world, Mother is that alright with you?."

Mother didn't move but Dirin understood and she smirked. "Well then, I hope he likes Gaia-Genesis."
