Chapter 50
Kommand’r spewed fire back into the Gateway as soon as she had passed through, the light it had provided was gonna as soon as the vortex closed, and she found herself floating quickly towards the light from the exit on the other side, and then she found that she wasn’t for a second she was held floating in the still, thick air, and then just as suddenly she was being forced away from the Gateway on Tamaran, now that the entrance was closed the exit had nowhere to pull from so it reversed and became a black hole, large metal weapons crates were pulled into the void, Kommand’r managed to avoid being hit by the first 1 but the second collided with her and carried her out of the air current, she was pushed downwards into darker, thicker air, the box was heavy and continued going until it slammed Kommand’r into solid wall of darkness, she grunted in pain as her stomach was caught between the 2, the box bounced off and floated away, Kommand’r got to her knees and was suddenly met by loud quietness, some noise she hadn’t even noticed was there had now gone completely, she looked up in time to see the light from the Tamaranean Gateway disappear.
Kori entered the dark void through the reopened Gateway, the steel cable snaking in behind her, she looked around in the dark nothingness for her sister, she scanned the space 3 times before finally spotting Kommand’r in the empty space beneath her, she propelled herself down using fire,
“Komi” She called out, though it took almost 10 seconds for the sound to reach Kommand’r, who eventually looked around and then up in confusion,
“What are you doing here? How?” She asked, Kori landed on the thick darkness beside her and instead of answering just pulled her into a hug, the hug was cut short when Kori realized that her sister was partially translucent,

“What’s going on? Are you okay?” She asked,
“I don’t know, I don’t feel very good” Kommand’r answered, tears rolling down her face, as she began shivering, Kori pulled her into a tight hug and noticed that she felt hollow, it felt like holding a helium filled balloon,
“It’s ok, Barbara’s gonna pull us out of here in less than a minute, it’s gonna be okay” Kori said, trying to sound reassuring,
“I’m really sorry Kori” Kori could feel her little sister slipping through her arms,
“It’s fine, It’s okay, you’re gonna come back with me, we’ll figure everything out” Kori opened her eyes, everything blurring with tears, she was having trouble seeing Kommand’r because of how much of the darkness of the void was visible through her,
“Kori, Kori, please don’t leave me, Kori” Kommand’r cried, she looked around, confused,
“I’m still here Komi, I’m not going anywhere” Kori choked as she spoke, but before she had even finished saying it Kommand’r was completely gone, Barbara’s voice came over her ear piece,
“Kori, Times up, I’m bringing you back.”
Artemis, Kid Flash and the Titans sat on the ground outside the entrance to Titan Tower, they were waiting as Robin and Wondergirl spoke with the 3 military squads inside the lobby,
“Do you think it’s over?” Beast Boy asked, to nobody specific,
“I hope so, I’m starving” Prophet answered, resting her head against Supergirl’s shoulder,
“Me too, I ran out of snacks an hour ago” Kid Flash agreed,
“You carry around snacks? I wish I’d thought of that” Prophet said, with a laugh, a moment later her smile faded, “I hope Barbara and Kori are okay” She said, Supergirl put her arms around her,
“I’m sure they’re fine, Batgirl wouldn’t let anything happen” She said, before adding, “We’ll figure out when Robin’s finished,” Artemis suddenly stood up,
“Guys I don’t think that ship’s supposed to be coming down that fast” She said, the group looked into the sky to see the main Tamaranean ship descending towards the bay.
