Endless slaughtering… I guess we aren’t too different after all. All we do is kill… without ever stopping. How long has it been since this war started? Going by the church’s stories, it’s been like this for over a millenia, but the church isn''''t really one to be trusted. Ever since I became the highest ranked knight, I''''ve been able to see their lies and deceptions. Preaching to the masses that all non-humans are evil, savage beings that know nothing but slaughter. Funny how that at the frontlines, all races are the same. The other races, you can see their reluctance to fight us. You can see those that smile when they are killed, being happy they are freed from whatever it is that’s happening in their kingdom. Those that do smile are those of the lowest ranks, not the higher ups, which I was told were nobles. I often see the same thing happen with our soldiers. I mean, I haven''''t ever been in their position, you see. When I became part of the army, I was directly elevated to a mid-tier position, due to what the higher-ups saw in me. I don’t know what they saw in me, but it sure wasn’t anything that had to do with what i’m doing now. Just remember, the real enemy aren’t the other races, but rather the nobles and the church. Now… I’m in my final breaths… just please, remember, it isn’t monsters or other races that are the enemy, but rather ourselves. Now, I can finally rest in peace…
