One fateful day filled with confusion and chaos, much of humanity develops magical abilities. However, Earth itself has morphed and swelled, birthing new lands filled with strange humanoids and creatures, not to mention the vast amount of mysterious vortexes appearing all over its surface. It is discovered that Earth is actually known as Midgard, one of the nine realms of Yggdrasil, the world tree. The horrific truth humanity, as well as other races, must face is their near inevitable doom, Ragnarok! Yggdrasil has started decaying, and, in the process, the nine realms have all crashed into Earth. The only way to hinder or possibly stop the apocalypse is to close all the vortexes that have appeared.
