Senior archaeologist dies and his soul is transported to a fantasy world by an unnamed goddess and reborn as a new dungeon core on an ancient sky island. Through pursuing system-assigned quests under the umbrella of an overarching divine quest (for which he has no details), he progresses his new dungeon by expanding through archaeological levels of his new home - interacting with a variety of visitors ranging from the dragon that currently dominates the island through representatives of the Adventurer''''s Guild and the Church of the God of All Dungeons. At the same time, he is learning about the previous occupants of the sky island, his new world more generally, and teasing out hints as to his divinely-appointed mission.
