Chapter 9: The Spiders World

  Chapter 9: The Spider World

It seems like the days have gone back to before Mo Yi'er saw the bald lion. The old man brings back fresh prey every day, which is cooked by Mo Yi'er. Although in the 21st century her cooking would be unacceptable, here it's a wonder.

Ordinary bird eggs, she fried them with oil and they splattered everywhere. Wild vegetables and mushrooms, just boiled casually, could make people drool. Especially when there was nothing to do, she would simmer a pot of sweet fruit sauce. Paired with roasted meat, the flavor was extremely unique.

While making jam, the fruit is absolutely indispensable, and the sap of the hollow tree is also essential. This mountain-top Shangri-La has plenty of hollow trees, and their sap tastes even sweeter. Mo Yier only lets Xiaorong scratch a claw on the hollow tree, and then comes out with a mouthful to collect the sap. If it's not needed in such large quantities, just plug it up with branches and leaves again, and next time pull them out to continue using.

Time flies. She has been here for more than 20 days. Harvested sunflower seeds and got a cool ride. But these are far from enough for Mo Yu'er. On this day, early in the morning, after greeting Xiao Rongqiu and Lao Tou, she rode the seven-colored peacock into the forest.

Speaking of the seven-color peacock, Mo Yi'er gave it a nice name, called Cai Rong'r, also because of its colorful feathers. Cai Rong'r is silly and obedient, if you let it go east, it will not go west. However, it likes to show off, when it sees a beautiful flower cluster, it will shake its tail and open its screen to show off its dazzling feathers. Its flying speed is as stable as ever, making Mo Yi'er feel very comfortable. At an altitude of about 20 meters, they flew over the forest, occasionally seeing a mature fruit tree, Mo Yi'er would let Cai Rong'r stop and rest for a while, picking some fruits to satisfy their hunger.

Cai Feng'er loves eating fruits. To be more precise, as long as it's something edible, she likes to eat it.

Mo Yu'er didn't understand why the top of the mountain wasn't like the bottom, where it was winter. Nor did she know which season this place belonged to now. Anyway, many fruits ripened one after another. But if no one came to pick them for a few days, these fruits still hung on the branches and didn't fall to the ground or rot like the fruits at the foot of the mountain. This mountaintop Shangri-La was like a constant temperature preservation place, where many things wouldn't spoil.

At this moment, they were perched on a tree eating bright red fruit, one peacock and one peahen. A large black spider crawled over the tree. Mo Yier took a glance and was frightened. This was the largest live spider she had ever seen in her life. It was alive, not a specimen, nor was it something she saw on TV.

And this big spider was leisurely weaving a web in front of them not far away. The web was woven very large, and the spider silk was thicker than that of ordinary small spiders.

But Mo Yi'er, who had seen silkworms before, was no longer so surprised. She just ate fruit while watching the spider weave its web.

Cai Feng'er ate her fill of fruit and began to get restless. She flapped her wings and flew towards the spider, seemingly wanting to tease it. But before she even got close to the spider, she was stuck in its newly woven web. Although she wasn't stuck like an insect waiting to be devoured by the spider, she still couldn't escape. All she could do was flap her wings with all her might.

"Hahaha......" Mo Yuer couldn't help but burst out laughing. The fruit she had just put in her mouth sprayed out.

Cai Feng'er used all her might to try and break free from the spider silk, but it only seemed to get tighter. And to make matters worse, she had disturbed the spider, which was now making its way towards her on its eight legs. Mo Yi'er knew that if the spider reached Cai Feng'er, even if it didn't eat her, she would still be wrapped up in its silk and suffocate. So she picked up a nearby fruit and threw it at the spider.

The fruit hit very accurately, directly hitting the spider's head. Although the spider's head was big, it was timid and was scared away by this sudden attack. In no time, it had already disappeared without a trace.

Mo Yu'er smiled and said to Cai Yong'er: "Let you go provoke trouble, see how you deal with it this time."

Cai Feng let out two mournful cries, seemingly begging Mo Yi to save her. Mo Yi was unable to do so and had no choice but to break off a branch to rescue Cai Feng. However, what happened next was beyond her expectation. The spider silk was completely different from what she had imagined. The branch also got stuck and couldn't be pulled out. Moreover, the spider silk was very elastic, like a rubber band. Her strength was not enough, and she was completely unable to rescue Cai Feng.

Just laughed a moment ago, but now I'm stuck. "What to do."

Cai Feng'er saw her master and had no way out. Her cries became even more mournful.

Mo Yi thought for a long time but couldn't think of a solution. He had no choice but to hug the tree trunk and slide down. He said to Cai Feng, "You wait here, I'll go get someone to help."

Cai Ling continued to cry miserably. Mo Yi'er couldn't understand its bird language at all and ran directly to the resting place.

On the other side of the resting place, the old man was leisurely sunbathing. The little furball was sleeping soundly. Mo Yier's flustered running startled the old man. He turned his head and asked Mo Yier: "What happened?"

"Cai Feng was wrapped around by spider silk. Grandfather, hurry up and save it." Mo Yi Er anxiously shouted at the old man.

The old man burst out laughing: "Haha, that damned bird should have died long ago. This is just right, just right. Haha."

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Mo Yi'er suddenly became depressed. She ran to the old man's side and pulled at the animal skin on his body that she didn't know what it was. "Grandpa, please help it. If it dies, I'll be very sad."

"Hmph." The old man pulled back his clothes and didn't want to bother with Mo Yi'er at all.

But Mo Yi'er wouldn't give up: "Grandfather, my good grandfather, please save Cai Feng'er."

The old man still ignored her. Mo Yier had begged him for a long time, but he remained unmoved. This made Mo Yier want to jump with rage. Although she was afraid of the old man deep down, she wouldn't just watch as Cai Feng'er got stuck in the spider web and do nothing. She hummed in dissatisfaction: "Fine, you won't help me? I'll go find Xiao Rong instead. Don't think about eating my cooking again."

Regarding this matter of eating, the old man finally took it seriously: "You're going to fight me head-on just for that stinky bird?"

"Grandpa, I've already said it. It's now my mount."

"But it's always smelly birds. What's good about them."

"Hmph." Mo Yier glared at the old man and turned her head to call Xiao Rongqiu.

The little ball of fluff sleeps very soundly. Even thunder won't wake him up. But when Mo Yier calls, he always responds instantly and wakes up.

The moment he opened his eyes, the old man helplessly shouted: "Forget it, you can call me grandson too, but it's useless. He didn't know what to do either."

"Waaah~" Little Fluffy had just woken up and didn't understand what they were saying, so he called out to ask his grandfather what was going on.

"Sleep on it. It's none of your business." The old man patted the little ball of fluff on the head, indicating that he shouldn't bother with it.
