Chapter 05; Niovola is Completely normal.

The plaque showed off her basic information, giving Alyssa an idea of what was important and what wasn't. She couldn't find any stat sheet or spreadsheets, but she could 'tap' on the words highlighted in green, revealing information in a seperate 'tab' to the left.

She picked up the new information from the screens, deciding to ignore the kneeling weirdos and go through the rest, just to make sure she had a grasp on everything.

Honestly, why are they still kneeling there?

That was a lot more than the original build in mind.

It felt a bit like cheating.

To break it down, she had:

A constant Status affliction, with a (Assumed to be) cross map aoe.

A resistance shred (Also cross map) that made said status easier to ensure the proc.

A damage multiplier based on that same status affliction.

A cut mana cost for the same thing.

And creatures who are immune to 3 kinds of status's

This was better then even soul bending, considering the ease of which the kit would work. it was almost impossible to NOT be scared shitless when you walked into my house, making it so i don't really have to do anything.

Having always sentient creatures means I don't have to give orders myself at a certain point, almost being able to make a well oiled machine, without the machine parts.

Not being able to leave my house kinda sucks, but I'm a couch potato anyways and covid wasn't THAT bad.

Now that she thought about it, the only way for her to actually leave would be to do world domination. Which sounded like a lot more then it was worth.

And even then, with her current build, it made it so that the more she conquered, the harder it would be to hurt people.

The impulse to expand would probably be the death of her, but if she can find a way to circumvent that, she might not have to become the 3rd world wide Dungeon Master.

She still had no idea what Niovola was, but that's something she could figure out later, she had more reading to do.

As it turns out, she could tap on the red ones too.

The little lore bit was good to know.

Acara must be the name of the castle or the city the castle was in.

At least that's how she was reading it.

A 600 meter diameter was to her knowledge, about 1800 feet...

Not a small amount by any means, but that number would have to go up drastically if she want to make sure she was secure.

She hadn't seen purple be used in the color coding so far.

From what she has seen and picked up, the colors went like this.

Red; Bad, negative, or could be perceived as negative.

Green; good, positive, or could be perceived that positive.

  Blue; Magic or magic adjacent

Yellow; either an affliction of some kind or applied status affect.

And white was lore or stuff that didn't fit into the rest.

  Purple was new.

it had a question mark, and with 2 decades of phone usage, it looked like a link.

She clicked on it, using her mind.

She always wondered how people did that in the manga and books.

it was rather easy, she just had to imagine she was doing it herself, like she had an invisible hand that was doing it, since when she first tried to click to expand the green names, she ended up touching air and looking like an idiot.

The purple link disappeared and her vision was encompassed with a top down view. Alyssa almost didn't recognize what the fuck just happened, but then she figured out what she was looking at.

It was a perfect circle, like a minimap, but enlarged to be everything she could see, and within it, she could see everything.

Akin to having eyes on every surface of every building, of every crannie, of every tree, every plant, and even the fucking clouds.

  'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH'

Who the fuck made this kind of torture.

  She couldn't even think straight.

  'NOPE fuck that'

The visual overload stopped as soon as she thought of it stopping, with the purple link gone and an understanding that she probably pull up her "Omni-directional, Omnipresent, fuck all impossible map" anytime she thought about it.

The surrounding 1800 feet was a small part of a ruined castle, ridden with forest overgrowth, moss, and bones.

Having so many perspectives at once fucking hurt, but she became oddly familiar with the area.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Alyssa poked around in the menu, making sure there wasn't anything else she needed to know.

So the fear had a progression, as seen by the descriptions of her class

Both fear and terror didn't have the best affects, but once it got boosted to horror and Madness, that's when the majority oof people lost their combat viability, effectively removing them from the fight, and making everything easier then before. And reaching madness would mean that she could effectively turned the enemy against themselves.

The only real weakness she could have would be Lone adventurers, of a groups of extra high Mental resistance individuals.

In the top right of her vision was the red, blue and yellow bars, but bellow that was another addition.

Pale white and grey number floated there, It was a 4.

'Is that my new summoning resource?'

Alyssa poked around until she found the Niovola tab, and it was...

  Blank.

  She frowned.

Why was such vital information left empty?

Alot of the information she was provided was at her figer tips and explainable.

  She just had to guess?

Really felt like whatever god, deity, or magic person responsible for this was fucking with her.

She tabbed over to [Dungeon Master Summoning]

The faster she can bring out her minions, the better.

She was a firm believer in the classic "Zerg rush"

Throw out numbers as fast as you can, and make an army before your enemy can even tell what happened.

Hoping that magic or in this case, alternative magic didn't feel like the brain blast she got from the map, she clicked on the newest purple link.

  __

In the darkness, a being was awoken.

As if they had been asleep. They looked up, to see a sky of infinite grey, and a sea of black, in which they had been resting.

The water was darker then any substance she had ever seen, her purple eyes tracing through the horizon line in mute confusion.

The woman remembered walking, listing to someone talk.

But then there was nothing after that.

  Where even was she?

Her limbs felt like they weighed as much as a pair of greatswords, and she had to heave in order to get them to start swimming.

'As an Assassin, you must remember you are fragile, never stop moving, never stop attacking, never stop moving forward, even if you have to move sideways instead.'

She struggled to stay afloat as she heaved her limbs back and forth.

  'Who'

  'Am'

  'I?'

It was a question she had heard before, when she was young, amidst the smoke and ash.

'You are Ameri, and you will grow to know death, and love it like a brother.'

Ameri continued to struggle, fighting the dark water, her energy fading away by the second.

'You are one of the silent watch, you will grow to know silence, and love it like a mother'

She felt something brush past her legs.

  Her bright eyes widened.

'You are Ameri, Of the Silent Creed'

She remembered the scent of iron, of blood.

  She remembered her creed.

'I will remain steadfast, even in the dark, because I am the dark.'

A hand appeared from the inky expanse, and it wrapped around her mouth.

Eerie laughter crackled from below her.

'I will remain Heartless, even while i live, because I am already dead.'

Genuine fear took hold as she ripped the arm away.

A grip appeared on her ankles.

'I will remain silent, because is there no sound when death strikes.'

She kicked the grip away, and began to swim with everything she had, disregarding the weight that had been building, it was akin to trying to float with slabs of concrete pulling you down.

Ameri turned to see if she could find her assailant behind her.

A wall, made entirely of a mass of dark hands, its unenumerable fingers descended upon her. Every hand found a place to grab, and she fought. She thrashed wilding against the attempts to drag her downwards.

Ameri fought like she had never done before.

But they hands had already won.

'I am Ameri, Of the Silent Creed'

And for the first time in 12 years, 3 months, and 6 days.

  She screamed.

  ..

The counter in the corner ticked downward to 3.

The purple link disappeared and was replaced by a 'Summoning in progress' and a small rotating circle.

it was so similar to a computer function, that Alyssa almost laughed.

  ..

Her scream was heard by nothing as the hands dragged her downwards to the depths, consuming, tearing, ripping...

  Until she couldn't scream anymore.

She couldn't even feel her own tears as the water ate away her. It devoured parts of her, but not the physical parts. It was the parts of her mind.

Years of adventuring and the faces of those she knew eventually disappeared from her memory.

The mantras, her creed, and the rementants of her sanity was torn away.

The water shredded and consumed all it could, until Ameri couldn't even recall what her own mother looked like.

The weight had increase tenfold. It was the weight of the world, the weight of the living, the weight of the dead, and everything in between. It was crushing. Immobile, broken and alone, she slowly descended down, like a leaf from a dying tree, floating to meet the ground. Eventually she would reach the bottom of the water, and she would disappear. Amir knew this, for some reason.

  "WOULD YOU LIKE TO RETURN?"

A voice, louder than any that was possible with magic, echoed in the depths.

It was like a vibration that shook her into her bones.

Her pale hand felt something enter its grasp.

Her eyes opened again, as she saw a hand gripping her own.

  Its skin was normal, human.

it was silken smooth, as if she was handshaking a bird.

Amirs descent was stopped, and she was hanging onto the hand.

Deep blue iris's looked into her own, and the voice called from a pale mouth.

It was a woman dressed in odd clothes, akin to a mix of a cloak and a tunic.

The black hair of the woman floated above her, forming to make the abstract shape of wings.

Perfect white teeth flashed as the woman holding her smiled.

  "WOULD YOU LIKE TO RETURN?"

This time, she could see the words leave the womans mouth.

  The woman radiated a warmth.

A warmth that Amira was unfamiliar with.

It was so different from the cold, empty water.

She wept as she stared at her salvation.

Her lungs were full of air, instead of water, her lips contorted to form words for the first time in 12 years.

  "Yes"

  ..

In front of her throne stood a Masked woman in the the most 'I'm a lethal assassin' attire she has ever seen.

  'Ezio wants his wardrobe back'

The matte black mask covered the top half of the face, making look like it was merging with the hoods shadow, making it hard to tell whether or not the summon had a top half of a face. It's vibrant purple eyes radiated energy, and glowed softly, in contrast to the dark hood and mask combo.

The hood was connected to a cloak the almost reached the floor, stopping inches away from dragging onto the ground.

Inside the cloak, the glint of daggers, knives and other life ending cutlery glinted and disappeared as fast as it had been there.

Under the cloak and the in all the places in witch the cloak didn't cover, armor with a 'Scaled' appearance covered everything but the summons hands and lower face. The armor was an interlocked plated set made of a greyish black, where each piece interlocked with the next underneath the last and the edge of each was lined with a soft matte purple.

  She looking fucking awesome.

Words hovered in front of her summon, a simple stat sheet that hovered in the air instead of in one of the black boxes.

  ..

  Name: Unnamed

  Type: Homunculus (Humanoid)

  Class; Deathwatch Assassin {Legendary)

  Level: 11

  STR: 48

  AGI: 115

  MAG: 90

  ..

Alyssa was grinning, her newly formed Legendary minion looked promising.

That smile decreased slightly as she realized that she had no control over what she summoned.

'You have to be kidding me... My summoning is like a gacha'

  'Fuck'

But that didn't stop her from enjoying the fact she got a lucky pull on her first try.

Behind her new creation, one of the robe wearing weirdos that head been kneeling this whole time, disappeared.

'Ahh, so that's another representation for how many summons I have.'

  'Cool'

  ..

Unnamed felt her new hands, her complexion become something akin to chalk, and the armor latched onto her body was unremovable.

Before her sat the woman she had seen in the waters, on a throne amongst ruins.

The woman's smile was like the sun, radiating that same warmth she had felt after being dragged to the depths. Her skin was slightly different, having a more pasty appearance then the look she had in the waters, and a head of the raven black hair remained the same.

Her savior's hands where tipped with claws long enough to skewer through a mans chest and out the other side, akin to certain daggers and shortwards. They remained gripping the armrest of the decrepit throne.

The woman on the throne was nude, but Unnamed didn't care to look at the rest.

The blue eyes watched her as much her own purple eyes watched back.

The one who pulled her from the darkness spoke first.

  "Hello, Miss Assassin"
