Chapter 51: You Want A Child?

Meanwhile, Xanqer opened the door, and Meesha walked into the office, her eyes widening in awe. "Wow..." she breathed, taking in the stunning city view that stretched out before her.

The office was sleek and modern, with plush couches arranged in a comfortable seating area. A small glass table sat in front of the couches, reflecting the bright light that streamed in from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Against one wall, a large wooden table dominated the space, surrounded by high-backed leather chairs. The lighting in the office was bright and unforgiving, with little warmth or softness to it. Instead, the overhead lights illuminated every detail of the room, making it feel crisp and efficient.

Meesha's eyes roamed the room, taking in the stunning view and the sleek, modern decor. She looked back at Xanqer, a smile spreading across her face. "Wow, Xanqer, your office is so perfect," she said, her voice filled with admiration.

She ran over to the CEO's seat, a high-backed leather chair that looked like it belonged in a luxury boardroom. She sat down in the chair, feeling the soft, supple leather envelop her. She threw her head back into the seat, closing her eyes and letting out a contented sigh.

"I can already imagine being the boss of this company. It'll feel so great," she said, her voice filled with amusement.

But Xanqer's voice was serious. "Do you want the company?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Meesha's eyes snapped open, and she looked at Xanqer in shock. "What?" she asked, her voice incredulous.

Xanqer walked over. "If you want it, I can transfer the ownership to your name," he said, his voice matter-of-fact.

Meesha's eyes widened in disbelief. Was he really going to give her his multi-trillion-dollar company? She waved her hands, laughing. "No, no, that's not necessary," she said. "I don't want a company, it's too much work and math. How do you even manage to run it all on your own, along with your other companies?"

Xanqer shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips. "I just do," he said, his voice casual.

He pulled a seat over and sat down next to Meesha, facing her. Meesha smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and ease in his presence.

"I want our child to have your IQ, not mine," she said, laughing. "Then he'll be really smart."

Xanqer's eyes narrowed slightly, his voice taking on a husky tone. "You want a child?" he asked, his eyes locked on hers.

Meesha's heart skipped a beat, and her pulse quickened. She felt a flush rise to her cheeks, and she looked away from him, trying to compose herself.

"That's not what I meant," she said, trying to play cool. "I... I was talking about the future."

Xanqer chuckled. He reached out and held Meesha's chin, bringing her face back to his.

"Meesha, you look so beautiful today," he said, his voice filled with admiration.

Meesha's cheeks flushed even deeper, and she smiled, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment. "Thanks," she said. "I spent all day dressing up for you. I thought you didn't notice."

Xanqer's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Why wouldn't I notice?" he asked, his voice filled with teasing.

Meesha smiled, feeling a sense of playfulness. "I don't know," she said, her voice filled with laughter. "Maybe you're just not used to seeing me in dresses."

Xanqer leaned in, his lips brushing against Meesha's. "I'm used to seeing you in anything you wear," he said, his voice husky. "And you always look beautiful to me."

Meesha's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a rush of emotion. She leaned in, her lips meeting Xanqer's in a soft, gentle kiss.

His fingers curled around her neck, pulling her deeper into the kiss.

Just as they were getting lost in the kiss, someone knocked on the door, breaking the spell.

Xanqer pulled back, his eyes narrowing slightly as they flicked to the door. "Come in," he called out, his voice laced with annoyance.

The door opened, and Yvette walked in, taking in the scene. Her fists clenched tightly, anger and jealousy stirring inside her.

Yvette walked forward, her movements slow and seductive. "I'm sorry to interrupt, sir," she purred, her eyes darting to Meesha before returning to Xanqer. "But you have a meeting with the board of directors in 10 minutes."

Xanqer spoke, his voice dismissive and sarcastic. "When did you become my assistant? Giving updates about meetings has nothing to do with you."

Meesha couldn't help but laugh after hearing Xanqer's statement. "Oh, Xanqer, you're so funny."

Yvette's fists tightened in rage, but she managed to keep in all her anger, squeezing out a smile. "I apologize, sir. I just thought it was necessary to keep you updated."

"Leave," Xanqer dismissed, his expression still dissatisfied.

Yvette nodded and turned to leave, but not before casting a cold glance at Meesha. Meesha felt a shiver run down her spine as she met Yvette's gaze. There was something unsettling about the way Yvette looked at her, something that made Meesha feel uneasy.

As soon as the door closed, Xanqer turned to Meesha, his softened expression slipping back into place like a mask.

Meesha looked at Xanqer, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Who was that woman?" she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.

Xanqer expression was dismissive. "That's just Yvette. She's the head of the PH department. She's irrelevant."

Meesha's gaze lingered on the door, her mind replaying the image of Yvette's provocative outfit. She turned back to Xanqer, a hint of discomfort etched on her face. "Xanqer, why is she dressing like that to an office? Her dress is really short."

Xanqer raised an eyebrow, his expression puzzled. "Short?" he repeated, his voice laced with skepticism. He hadn't even noticed Yvette's dress, let alone its length. He didn't pay attention to her, and he certainly didn't care what she was wearing.

But Meesha got the wrong idea. Her eyes flashed with annoyance, and she smacked Xanqer's arm with a book that was lying on the table. "So you don't think it's short, huh?" she exclaimed, her voice rising in indignation. "You better not fall for her, or I won't forgive you."
