Not so long after we received the new quest, the fire in the underground city set down completely. It also means the influence of “Archangel of the North Haven” was weakened. I still don’t understand why that demon-like judge of fire decided to descend into the overworld and set fire. For a constellation like her, descending into this world as a full demigod form would’ve caused her a lot of loss. She probably can’t be active for a while.

  We looked around the view of the underground city when everything was settled. Half of the city was destroyed. Most structures were irreparable. The damage was very severe. This was the price of a revolution. A revolution that can cause change might seem like a good thing but the dark truth is always hidden behind it. People are hurt, some are even dead. This is the price. Most revolutions happen in order to overthrow a tyrant but in the end, it only creates another one. It’s a tragedy leading to another one. I’m assuming that’s just how the world works at this point. History always repeats itself.

  Some of the government units rushed into the underground city and started organizing things. Hurt people were taken to the doctors and the nurses, people who were stuck under structures were saved. Loyd without even flinching then walked towards the elevator that we used to come down here. Me and Crimson followed him and also got on. While we were going up, no one spoke. Pure silence except the sound of rusty metal clashing on each other. It didn’t take long until we reached the very top.

  “So what now?” Crimson asked. “We like didn’t really achieve anything down there. Barely stopped a revolution, didn’t get the elytras. what are we going to do?” The 3rd level of the underground turned into complete ashes. There was nothing remaining. Crimson’s base was probably burnt so there was no point in going down to get the elytras. They would be gone. “The ‘Oni’ texted me.” Loyd said. “What?” Me and Crimson both blurted out. “He told me that he has prepared a [Warp Crystal] for us.” Loyd added. We were so confused. Why would an Oni prepare a [Warp Crystal] for us? Is it because of the new quest that we just received?

  Oni are the moderators of this world. Depending on which sin they represent, they are called by different names in this world. ‘Oni’, ‘Dokkaebi’, ‘Goblin’, ‘Horizon’s Devil’, and many more. The Oni that Loyd is talking about can only mean 1 person. Actually, it’s not appropriate to call them even a human because they are more like monsters or demons. The Oni that currently moderate this world represents sin of pride. Among many other Oni, he is the strongest one. But he is a man of mystery. No one knows his past marks or his real name.

  “Eliot told us to wait at the [Warp Gate] and he will bring us the [Warp Crystal].” Okay so that’s his name? Like he is just giving it away like that? “I already told Axion to charge the [Warp Gate] with mana so that we can use it in time.” [Warp Gate] are the utilities that people in this town use to travel to other dimensions or places. But because of the unknown barrier that protects this world, any world located out of this dimension such as and , are not accessible. In order to use the [Warp Gate], you need a [Warp Crystal] and mass amount of mana. All [Warp Gate] are in different forms. The one for is the Bifrost and the one for is the Pantheon. The one in our town is a big stage that has a giant energy sphere in the center. It looks very similar to the one from starcraft (I am pretty sure the builders were influenced by it). I am pretty sure it was destroyed during the [Deconstructed] war but I guess they fixed it.

  “Is he just allowed to do that? I thought he wasn’t supposed to interfere with this world?” Crimson asked. “I’m assuming that because our quest has to be done in , he is providing the resources to get there.” Loyd answered. “It’s also bad for him if he just gives up on doing the quests.” Why is it bad for them? I mean why do we even do quests in the first place?

  During the walk towards the [Warp Gate], Loyd had his unique ability, [Analysis] enabled the entire time. The screens in front of him wouldn’t stop giving him suggestions on how to kill the next catastrophe. But even until we arrived at the [Warp Gate], it seemed Loyd didn’t receive an answer that satisfied him. The [Warp Gate] was located across where the Capitol was. The gate looked exactly like the one from the server. Something that surprised me was that the gate looked way bigger in real life. No wonder it needed so much mana to use it. Even in the game, we had to pay tea leaves or charge mana on our own in order to use the [Warp Gate].

  Out of the blue, feathers started flying towards us. They merged with another and created a structure. They were fitting in as if they were a puzzle. At last, it was in the shape of a human. Bright light shone at us and soon after, it turned into a person. But the guy standing in front of me wasn't a human. It was an Oni. A pale face with blue horns, brown hair with perm, a black suit where the jacket reaches all the way down to his ankle, and a blue neck tie. Anyone would think that this man represents the sin of pride. He descended down from the air as dark clouds accompanied his entrance.

  He handed us 3 [Warp Crystals]. They were small gems that shined with different colors. I guess this is the crystal that leads to . For some reason, I felt comfortable just by holding on to the crystal. I could heal birds tweaking and angels singing. Warmth pervaded throughout my body. But unlike the relaxation this crystal was giving me, the gray sky was roaring with thunder. Soon, rain started to drop. The breeze turned into wind, the wind turned into drizzles, the drizzle turned into rain, and rain turned into a storm. It started pouring as if it reflected Loyd’s feelings.

  “Are you coming with us?” Loyd asked the Oni. “Well, because of the circumstances of this quest, I was notified to stay with you until the end of the catastrophe quest.” The Oni answered. “Eliot.” Loyd said. “Wow, this is almost the first time you actually called me by my name!” The Oni commented. “All the catastrophes that appeared so far in this world are the ones who have a grudge and resentment against me or the town.” Loyd spoke. “If this pattern continues, I can narrow down the list of the remaining catastrophe to 4 or less people.” Loyd looked up at the gray sky. “You know who all of the catastrophes are, right?” He asked. The Oni smiled slightly and nodded his head. “Don't worry. Ulysses didn’t become a catastrophe.” Loyd sighed with relief. “If he did become a catastrophe, it would be unfair. The only person that can kill him is the self proclaimed, ‘Overlord’. I couldn’t think of who the Overlord was. I don’t think there was anyone on the server who went by that name. “Will there be a chance… Where I will meet him again?” Loyd asked with a cautious voice. “You are going to wish you don’t.” The Oni replied.

  Loyd then turned around to us. “Unlike other warps, this one will be a little different. Not only is our destination thousands of meters above us but this is the first time we are officially going to a kingdom. No matter what is up there, we have to be prepared for it.” He spoke. “Have you guys ever been to ?” I asked. “Oh hell nah. Why do you think I would ever want to go to a place full of angels? I ain’t no saint. Plus, I heard all the angels there are guys.” Crimson answered. That definitely sounds like an excuse coming from him. “I’ve been there as a soul spirit before.” Loyd spoke. “When Crimson shot me in the chest and I lost my consciousness, the archangels took my soul to . There, I met the ‘Adversary’ and became the representative of .” I was confused. This never happened on the server, or maybe I just don’t remember it. I knew that Loyd became the sin of pride through a corruption process but I don’t remember him becoming the representative, in other words, the king of . There was almost nothing available on the server that was related to the kingdoms. Suddenly, I felt chills crawling up through my body. I thought of something that I truly wish wasn’t real. This world was very off to the one I used to play on. Events that I don’t remember happened and the history was slightly different. What if this world is not-...

  “I suggest you hurry up. I hope you remember the fact that one of the archangels sent a signal for help.” The Oni said. We walked on the stairs and stepped to the very center of the [Warp Gate]. Wait, how do I even use the crystal? I mean in the game you just right clicked while holding it. “When I signal you, break the crystal.” Loyd told me. As the mana quickly charged onto the [Warp Gate], it was making energy sounds. There was a big sphere orb appearing above us. “Now!” Loyd screamed out. As we shattered the crystal, our body started to evaporate into fragments of glass. We were being absorbed into the portal that was summoned above us. “Wait, I'm not ready-!..” I screamed as my body was swallowed into the portal.

  I felt extreme pain as I witnessed my body reform. I could feel the organs in my body switching places. I landed on my back and the moment I could touch the ground, I started vomiting. That was literally the worst experience in my life. I never wanted to do that ever again. “Please tell me we don’t have to do this again when we return to the town.” I asked. Loyd seemed to avoid answering my question. Fuck… He looked fine. Did he not have any after effects? “God damn you are fragile as hell. How are you going to defeat a catastrophe if you can’t even handle this amount of pain?” Crimson asked. I seriously wanted to rip out all of his white hair and make a feather coat. “Oh shoot, I forgot to buy you a [Mental Barrier].” Loyd said.

  [You have the ability, ‘Mental Barrier’.]

  The pain relieved a bit. I guess this is how Loyd and Crimson survived all of these pains. If it wasn’t the [Mental Barrier], they would’ve gone crazy already. “Bro it is not that bad. I’ve been through worse even before I obtained the barrier. In my days, I used to-...” Loyd cut him off by hitting him in his throat. Crimson coughed heavily. Loyd gave me a hand so I could stand up. I was able to see the view of this kingdom. It was truly magnificent and beautiful.

  “So this is it… The kingdom of angels.” I spoke ecstatically. There were many floating islands. The sky is orange but purple, wait it’s also blue. It was hard to explain what it looked like. The best word to describe this sky was… Twilight. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of the splendid sunset. “Is this what is? It’s way smaller than I thought.” We were located at the entrance of a small town. It looked nothing like what I imagined what would look like. Isn’t it supposed to be a garden? “This is the spawn island for this world. We have to cross a few floating islands. Then, we will witness a giant island with a castle on top. That’s where all the angels are, and the catastrophe too.” Loyd explained. “If we walk across the island, there is a station where a bridge will be summoned that leads us to the main island. We have to get there.” We started walking through the town.

Did he defeat the 2 catastrophes?” She asked herself. She was wearing a black trench coat. Her sharp eyes seemed to pierce through everyone. She had a beautiful face. A face that would slap Yoo Junghyuks face 3 times. She then jumped down from the roof and started walking behind Loyd from a few meters away. Her pumps would make a solid noise every time she walked. She twisted her long curly ponytail hair as she walked. She blew on the little line of her hair that got in her face. The girl sighed and spoke. “I really don’t want to screw up this regression. Please don’t get in my way, Loyd…” She pulled out a lemon candy and scraped the wrapper. “Who the hell is that kid?” She asked while staring at Luke walking happily next to Loyd.
