The young Demonic Mole nestled upon the mother Demonic Mole's teat and began to suckle with great avidity.
The mother Demonic Mole lowered her head to take a glance. Hold on, something seemed amiss. There was a creature resembling a lump of black coal also attempting to suckle from her. She had no recollection of giving birth to a black offspring.
Given that Demonic Moles are not particularly intelligent, and considering she was in the midst of nurturing her young, the mother Demonic Mole merely hesitated for a moment and then reclined once more.
Nevertheless, the young Demonic Mole beside her was irate. How dare this coal-like creature presume to steal its mother's milk! It simply could not tolerate such an audacity!
With a furious howl, it lunged towards Kenley, intent on driving him away.
"Fine, I'm leaving. Is that satisfactory?" Kenley clicked his tongue. Fortunately, his act had been convincing enough; he had almost been discovered. However, the milk of the Demonic Mole was truly repugnant. He had taken a single sip and promptly spat it out, not daring to consume any more.
Before making his exit, Kenley surreptitiously sprinkled a bottle of potion onto the ground.
Observing Kenley's voluntary withdrawal, the young Demonic Mole crawled back contentedly and resumed its vigorous suckling.
The mere thought that these Demonic Moles might have feasted on human flesh, and that he had just partaken of their milk, filled Kenley with a profound sense of nausea. The recollection of that rank odor only served to exacerbate his revulsion.
Drawing his focus back, Kenley swiftly scurried over to the magic crystal core. It was indeed an exceptional magic crystal core, suitable for forging a Magic Vortex Ring, which would be perfect for Tia.
Kenley seized the magic crystal core in his mouth with a single bite. However, scarcely had he made contact with it when the elite Demonic Mole, not far away, sprang to its feet with a sudden movement.
There emanated some spine-chilling bubbling sounds that sent a shiver down Kenley's spine!
Oh no, it has detected me!
Kenley's eyes flashed with determination. Regardless of the elite Demonic Mole's thoughts, he immediately leaped up and bolted in the direction from which he had come. Fortunately, having transformed into a black cat, his four-legged sprint was remarkably swift, making it no easy feat for the elite Demonic Mole to catch up with him in the immediate moment.
The elite Demonic Mole's massive form, reminiscent of a small hill, produced ponderous footsteps that, despite the distance, still set Kenley's heart racing.
"Cloak of Light!" As soon as Kenley rounded the corner, he draped the pre-prepared Cloak of Light over his form.
In an instant, Kenley's figure vanished without a trace. The elite Demonic Mole followed closely behind, scanning the passageway before it with a puzzled expression. The scent had dissipated right at this very spot.
There was no shadow, no living being in sight, save for a faint lingering aroma.
It was acutely aware that this was by no means the scent of a cat, but rather that of a human. Although its limited intellect could not fathom why a human would transform into a cat, it was certain that the human was lurking nearby.
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
It wrinkled its nose and sniffed the air incessantly, turning its head from side to side, and remained rooted to the spot, refusing to depart.
Could it be that it had stumbled upon something?
Kenley was merely a few meters away from it; one careless moment on its part would surely lead to his discovery. Although the Cloak of Light rendered his body completely invisible, a trace of his scent still lingered.
While the olfactory sense of Demonic Moles did not rival that of canine-like monsters, it was still remarkably acute.
However, Kenley had a contingency plan. The potion he had spilled on the ground earlier should soon take effect.
Sure enough!
Just then, a multitude of indistinct screams echoed from within the lair, as if the Demonic Moles were in excruciating pain.
Upon hearing the commotion, the elite Demonic Mole tensed up instantly and took a few steps backward.
Just as Kenley believed he was on the verge of safety, the elite Demonic Mole turned back and cast several glances over its shoulder. Kenley inwardly marveled at its shrewdness. This creature was astute enough to execute a surprise return.
However, as the screams of the Demonic Moles grew increasingly harrowing, it was compelled to redirect its attention back to the lair. After all, should anything untoward befall the lair, it would indeed be a grave matter.
The potion that Kenley had scattered on the ground earlier was a special concoction. It possessed no lethal properties, yet it was guaranteed to torment the monsters unbearably.
Specially crafted by the Secret Potion Witch:[Aphrodisiac Potion].
Hahaha, even without conjuring the image, Kenley could anticipate the ensuing chaos. Moreover, this aphrodisiac potion was specifically formulated for trainers to facilitate the breeding of their magical pets. Even a single drop could induce a state of heat in a dragon. Given that Kenley had poured an entire bottle of it, once the potion's vapor began to diffuse and all the Demonic Moles inhaled it, the resulting scene was bound to be electrifying.
Kenley fled the cave without so much as a backward glance. Before long, he encountered Tia, who had been waiting with palpable anxiety.
"Master! You're finally back! When I heard those screams, my heart nearly leaped out of my chest!" The moment Tia laid eyes on Kenley, she swiftly embraced him.
"Tia, listen to me first. Put me down," Kenley spat out the magic crystal core, wearing a rueful smile. While being a black cat had its advantages, it made him far too susceptible to being hugged.
"Alright!" Tia obediently set Kenley down.
One of the most commendable aspects of the Black Cat Potion was that players could terminate the transformation at any given moment, without having to await the potion's effects to wear off. However, once the transformation was reversed, they could not revert to their feline form unless they ingested the potion anew.
In other words, players needed to exercise prudence in choosing the opportune moment to use it and refrain from squandering it recklessly.
As Kenley reverted to his human form, Tia regarded the transformation process with a look of wonder. She could not contain her curiosity and inquired,"Master, what is it like to be a cat?"
"What's it like?" Kenley was momentarily taken aback.
"It feels as though there's a hand growing out of my posterior," Kenley assumed a thoughtful pose and then proffered an answer that induced Tia to burst into peals of laughter.
"Hand... growing out of the buttocks... What a whimsical metaphor... Heeheehee," Tia realized that Kenley was likely referring to the tail, yet for some inexplicable reason, she found the metaphor utterly hilarious.
"Stop laughing. You'll be able to transform into a bat in the future," Kenley said with a resigned smile.
"Ah! How did you know, Master?" Tia exclaimed, her eyes wide with surprise.
"It's a secret," Kenley wagged his index finger.
"Master is keeping secrets from Tia again! Tia is not pleased!" Tia even feigned indignation.
Kenley shook his head with a smile, choosing not to delve deeper into the matter. He picked up the red stone from the ground, weighed it in his hand, and then remarked,"Look, Tia, what wonderful thing have I brought back for you?"
"A magic crystal core?" Tia, being astute, refrained from pressing further and instead directed her attention to the stone.
"Precisely, a third-rank fire-element magic crystal core. I intend to use it to forge a Magic Vortex Ring for you," Kenley placed the stone in Tia's palm.
"This, this is far too precious! Tia cannot accept it!" Tia hastily pushed the stone back towards Kenley.
"Tia?" Kenley was somewhat taken aback.
Tia averted her gaze."Tia no longer wishes to rely on Master to care for her in this manner. It makes Tia feel utterly useless."
