** Had some more things pnned but decided to wrap this up sooner. We can py catchup with a few paragraphs on events after the time skip in the next few chapters. There's no need to prolong it.**
The Uchiha Cn compound was heavy with tension, an unspoken weight hanging in the air. The whispers of war had grown louder in recent months, and Mikoto Uchiha had spent enough time listening to them to know what they meant. Her Sharingan had begun flickering with visions of the future, the same fshes of blood and fire that had become more frequent each passing night.
She wasn’t the only one who sensed it.
Even now, within the meeting hall, Fugaku sat in silent contemption as the Hawk Faction continued to push for a coup.
"Lord Fugaku, how much longer must we wait?" Ryoga Uchiha, leader of the Hawk Faction, leaned forward, his voice brimming with impatience. "The vilge does not trust us, and we do not trust them. This cannot continue."
"There is still time to negotiate," Fugaku said evenly, but even Mikoto could hear the ck of conviction in his voice.
"Negotiate?" one of the elders sneered. "The Hokage watches us like we are criminals. Danzo has his spies at every corner. There is nothing left to discuss. If we do not act soon, the vilge will act first."
Mikoto watched Fugaku closely.
He was hesitating. He had spent his life leading, guiding, enforcing the will of the Uchiha Cn—but now, he was trapped.
And so was she.
Her Sharingan flickered again, and for the briefest moment, she saw it.
The compound in ruins.
Blood.
A familiar silhouette standing amid the fmes.
Itachi?
No. It was both of them.
Her own sons, standing over the remains of the Uchiha Cn.
Mikoto inhaled slowly, blinking away the vision. It hadn’t happened yet.
But it would.
She knew it in her bones.
"We must prepare," Ryoga continued, unaware of Mikoto’s silent revetion. "If we are to strike, it must be soon."
Mikoto met Fugaku’s eyes across the table. He knows.
But he won’t act.
And that meant she had to.
The night air was cold and crisp, but Shisui Uchiha felt none of it as he sat beneath the ancient tree at the edge of the compound. Across from him, Itachi stood with his arms crossed, deep in thought.
"We have to stop this," Shisui muttered, his Sharingan spinning.
"The cn will not listen," Itachi said quietly. "They have already chosen their path."
Shisui clenched his fists. "Then I will change their path."
Itachi finally looked at him. "How?"
Shisui took a deep breath. Then, his eyes shifted.
For a brief moment, the pupil of his Sharingan changed, shifting into a swirling pattern of dark crimson.
"I awakened my Mangekyō Sharingan," Shisui admitted.
Itachi stiffened.
"And with it... Kotoamatsukami."
Itachi’s eyes widened.
"The strongest Genjutsu in existence," Shisui continued. "I can make someone believe any reality I choose, without them ever realizing they were maniputed."
"You mean to use it on the cn," Itachi said slowly.
Shisui nodded. "If I can make Fugaku, Ryoga, and the others believe peace is the only path, then—"
"It won’t work."
Shisui blinked. "What?"
Itachi exhaled, his expression unreadable. "Even if you control them, you cannot control the paranoia they have already pnted in their own hearts. If you erase their thoughts today, they will rebuild them tomorrow."
Shisui’s jaw tightened.
"Then I have to try."
Itachi looked at his closest friend for a long moment. Then, finally, he nodded.
"Then we go to the Hokage."
The scent of roasted garlic and fresh dough filled the air inside The Crusty Kunai, but Mikoto barely noticed.
Across from her, Raven Kamizuki sat with a slice of pizza in hand, her violet eyes calm, but calcuting.
"You look tense," Raven mused, taking a bite.
Mikoto exhaled. "The cn is heading for destruction."
"You’re just figuring this out now we already talked about this.?" Raven said, eating her pizza.
Mikoto didn’t react. She was done denying it.
"I’ve started making preparations," she admitted. "If things escate, I will not be here when the cn falls."
Raven smirked. "I knew you were smart."
Mikoto hesitated. "What do you think will happen?"
Raven sighed, setting down her pizza. "You already know, Mikoto. You see it in your eyes. Your cn has no future. The vilge will not allow it."
Mikoto’s hands curled into her p.
"You need to be ready," Raven continued, her tone more serious than usual. "When it happens, you take your people and leave. Do not look back. Come find me and I will guide you to your future"
Mikoto swallowed hard. She wasn’t ready to say goodbye to her home.
But she knew Raven was right.
"You’re not as alone in this as you think Mikoto your future is at my side it always has been Fugaku just acted first. Dont ask questions. I will expin more in the future." Raven said.
Mikoto looked up. "What do you mean?"
Raven’s smirk returned. "Go and prepare your sister's there is no time to waste here."
Mikoto frowned but didn’t press the issue.
Instead, she nodded.
"Then I will be ready."
"You want to use Genjutsu on the Uchiha Cn?"
Shisui stood before the Third Hokage, his heart pounding.
"Yes," he admitted. "If I use Kotoamatsukami, I can change their minds. Stop the coup before it begins."
Hiruzen Sarutobi exhaled slowly, his expression unreadable.
"That is a dangerous power, Shisui."
"I know. But it is the only way."
Hiruzen nodded. "I will consider it."
But ter that night, in the depths of Konoha’s hidden chambers, another conversation took pce.
Danzo Shimura stood before Hiruzen, his single visible eye gleaming.
"The boy’s eyes are wasted on him."
Hiruzen remained silent.
"With his power, the vilge could control its enemies, maintain stability forever," Danzo continued.
Hiruzen sighed.
"Shisui is loyal to Konoha," he said at st.
But he did not forbid what would come next.
He simply turned away.
Danzo smirked.
And in the shadows, his men prepared to move.
