Chapter 67: The Power of the True Person; The Cycle of Rebirth in the Earth

Chapter 67: The Real Strength of the Earthly Soul After Reincarnation

Everyone collect it. Kneel down and beg for collection.

Wuji confirmed that Minghe Dao Ren created the Asura tribe and established the Asura religion after dispersing his aura, confirming that he had not become a saint, but only became a Supreme Being. Wuji knew that being a Supreme Being was not about actual power, but rather a position. When someone's merits reached a certain level, Heaven would bestow upon them the title of Supreme Being. Wuji's merits from establishing the Heavenly Punishment could also be considered as a Supreme Being. The Six Saints' merits were too great, and with the achievement of the Hongmeng Purple Qi, they could also be considered as Supreme Beings, but their abilities had surpassed that of a Supreme Being.

The merits of heaven and earth are indeed good things that can promote the growth of cultivation, but they are only effective for the realm before the late stage of quasi-sainthood. For breaking through the realm of quasi-sainthood in the late stage, the effect of merit is already extremely small. Merit can only give you a vast amount of luck and fortune, but the actual power of a person at the peak of quasi-sainthood is still like an ant in the eyes of a saint. It's just that this ant has too much merit, so if a saint were to kill it, they would have to bear a huge burden of karma, and their position as a saint might not be secure. That's why being at the peak of quasi-sainthood is like having a powerful protective charm.

But don't think that just because you've become a Supreme Being, others won't be able to do anything to you. Those who are stronger than you can still seal or plot against the things you love, making your heart ache. Or they might scheme to make you do something that damages your virtues, causing your position as a Supreme Being to disappear. Then you'll only be able to suffer at the mercy of others.

The cultivation of Minghe River has reached the peak of the quasi-saint later period with the help of Gongde, equivalent to Wuji's cultivation of cutting off three corpses. However, Wuji relies solely on himself and not on external objects. The strength of both sides is that Wuji is one step higher, and Wuji also possesses the boundless realm, which doesn't have to worry about the problem of law power to a certain extent. The power of Chaos is even more powerful than Minghe River's innate spiritual energy, and in a fierce battle between the two, Minghe River will surely be defeated.

Wuji is not intentionally looking for trouble with Minghe Dao, but he won't go out of his way to offend him either. Last time Minghe Dao offended him, Wuji also took away Minghe Dao's three-piece Red Lotus, and since Wuji was the first to make a move, it's only fair that Wuji is not involved in Minghe Dao's handling plan. If Minghe still looks for trouble with him, Wuji will not be polite either.

Wuji continued on his way to the Hou Tu tribe of the Witch clan. Wuji had a certain good impression of the Witch clan before, after all, he used to have half of the Witch clan's blood in him, and was considered half a member of the Witch clan. However, as the Witch clan slaughtered humans, Wuji's impression of them gradually declined.

Even people like Hou Yi and Xing Tian, who had trained with Wuji before, would not be able to restore their original relationship. Before, Wuji might still have some sense of guilt, but after the transformation of the ancestral witch and the cycle of reincarnation, although the witch tribe could obtain a vast aura, they could also obtain the last foundation of the witch tribe, but Hou Tu's death was ultimately due to his own calculation of merits.

But now Wuji no longer has that hint of guilt, this is the law of the jungle in the vast wilderness. It was they who first destroyed the human tribe's small village, almost letting the human tribe that gave birth to him and raised him be completely annihilated. Now Wuji is calculating the two tribes of witches and demons without any burden.

Wuji directly followed his memory to the outer hall of Hou Tu Zu Wu, sensing the aura of Hou Tu Zu Wu inside. Wuji said: "Fellow Hou Tu, I have come as promised, please come out and meet me."

Houtu Zuwu was cultivating, when suddenly a voice came from outside the main hall. Houtu was shocked, as he could usually sense someone's presence half a step into his tribe. The fact that someone was speaking outside his hall without him noticing meant that this person's power had surpassed his own. He was still a bit worried, but after hearing Wuji's second sentence, he felt at ease. After all, Wuji had made an oath in the past, and it seemed that the rumors were true - Hongjun Death God Wuji had made tremendous progress in just a few tens of thousands of years, surpassing even himself. It seemed that Wuji's battles with Minghe Dao Ren, Dong Wang Gong, Xi Wang Mu, Emperor Jun, Taiyi, Kunpeng, and others must have been real.

Houtu knew the strength of Wuji and became even more cautious, in the vast world of Honghuang, the weak are preyed upon by the strong. The great gods pay attention to their reputation. After Houtu invited Wuji into the grand hall, he said: "Wuji Daoist friend, has your opportunity arrived?"

Wuji, although having no good feelings towards the Witch Clan, still maintained the proper etiquette towards Hou Tu Niang Niang, as she had created the reincarnation cycle for the Hong Huang world and had immense merit. Wuji said: "What you said is correct, Niang Niang's opportunity has indeed matured, please follow me." After speaking, Wuji made a polite gesture of invitation.

Later, Hou Tu Niang began to travel in the vast wilderness under Wuji's guidance. Along the way, countless soul bodies were constantly fighting and devouring each other. Then came to the Youming Blood Sea of Hongyuan.

Wuji and Hou Tu Niang looked at the steaming Blood Sea, where countless souls were being absorbed into it, transforming into Asura tribe. Minghe Laozu had already known when Wuji and Hou Tu arrived at the edge of the Blood Sea, but even with his greatly improved cultivation, he still couldn't see through Wuji's true strength. Moreover, there was also Hou Tu Niang beside him, so Minghe Laozu didn't need to be overly cautious. However, behind her stood the twelve Ancestral Witches of the Witch tribe, and before understanding Wuji's intentions for coming here, Minghe pretended not to know and ignored the two.

Wuji said to Hou Tu Niangniang: "Hou Tu Niangniang, what are your thoughts on our journey so far?"

Houtu said, "Because of the reasons of my Wu and Yao tribes, there are few living creatures on this road, and most have become soul bodies. This is the fault of my Wu and Yao tribes. I just want to help them reincarnate, but there are too many soul bodies, and my ability is limited, so I can only rescue a limited number. I just want to find a quick way to reincarnate." What Houtu said was reasonable, and seeing Wuji standing by without expressing any opinion, Houtu couldn't help but say, "Please, Daoist friend, teach me."

Wuji saw Hou Tu and asked, "Right in the middle of the lower abdomen, Wuji said: "The Honghuang world was opened by Pangu Dadi, Pangu Dadi died after reaching the sky, and his body turned into heaven and earth, and all things were transformed. There is still a cycle that has not been opened up. Therefore, this cycle must be completed by you, the descendants of Pangu Dadi, and you are also the ancestor of the earth and the best candidate for the cycle." Hou Tu was puzzled after hearing this, Wuji continued: "Fellow Taoist only needs to transform into the six paths of reincarnation. The six paths refer to the heavenly path, human path, Asura path, animal path, hungry ghost path, and hell path. Among them, the top three paths are the three good paths, because their karma is relatively small; the lower three paths are the three evil paths, because their actions are more severe. Therefore, all living beings who sink into segmented life and death, their reincarnation path does not go beyond the six paths. Reincarnation is a cycle of going and coming back, like the yin-yang cycle of Taiji, circulating in the heavenly path, starting again without end. Therefore, it is said that the six paths are reincarnated."

Houtu carefully savored Wuji's words and said: "How can the six paths of reincarnation be divided, can one enter at will?"

The Tao of Wuji: "Of course not, if one is allowed to choose a path at will? Wouldn't that be chaotic? The soul must rely on the cause and effect of its past life to determine which path to enter. Those with heavy karma must enter the hellish path, undergo punishment, and wash away their karmic energy before they can be reborn; those with lighter karmic energy must also be cast into the hungry ghost path or the Asura path, shed their karmic energy, and then re-enter the cycle of reincarnation. Those with the lightest karmic energy should enter the animal or plant path, undergo reincarnation, shed their karmic energy, and re-enter the human path. All living beings have karma; as long as they do not accumulate karmic energy, they can be reborn into the human path, seek the heavenly path, and transcend the mundane body. If one accumulates good deeds in life, has great virtues in the world, or is protected by the residual merits of others, they will be reborn into the heavenly path, enjoy all kinds of blessings and good fortune in the human world, and glory, wealth, and nobility are minor matters; even becoming a sage-king is possible."

Houtu devoted herself to thinking about Wuji's words and sat quietly for ten days. On the tenth day, Houtu Niangniang suddenly spoke out into the void: "The Heavenly Way is above; now there is Pan Gu's Houtu, willing to transform her body into a cycle of reincarnation." At this moment, the Heavenly Way descended with a great deal of merit and virtue, entering Houtu Niangniang's body. Houtu Niangniang's aura suddenly rose sharply, stopping only when it was almost as high as what Wujing Shengren had felt before. Wujing at this time unexpectedly glanced over at Wujing, but in the end said nothing.

After Hou Tu made up his mind to reincarnate in the Six Paths, it was a response from heaven and earth. The Underworld Blood Sea churned violently, but did not stir up a massive wave, instead, the entire sea seemed to be jumping like a pulse, shaking the Meng River who was checking on Wuji and Hou Tu's situation in the Blood Sea, leaving him greatly shocked. He calculated with his fingers and the result left him even more shocked and pale.

All living things in the world have a certain response. Especially those with great spiritual power. The saints all opened their eyes, each with a different color in their eyes, and it was unclear whether they were sighing or excited, as if relieved, then suddenly closed their eyes again, and their spirits wandered away.

Houtu said to Wuji, "Thanks for your reminder this time. Now I know the heavenly secret. In the future, the Shu tribe will face a great calamity. Although my Shu tribe has been acting strangely and not following the heavenly way, and even participated in the war of exterminating the human race last time, it shouldn't be annihilated. I hope you can spare the Shu tribe for my sake and also because you originally have half of the Shu tribe's bloodline. I will give you a share of my realization from the cycle of reincarnation, so you won't lose out."

Wuji knew that the bloodline of the Wu tribe still existed in later generations, and although he didn't want to admit it, his own father was a member of the Wu tribe. This was an unchangeable fact. Wuji also had another meaning: if he himself did not die, wasn't that proof that the Wu tribe's bloodline still existed? Wuji said: "The Wu tribe was transformed by Pangu, possessing the legacy of opening up the sky, but it should not be exterminated. I will do my best to take care of them."

Houtu Niangniang seemed to be satisfied with the answer, turned around and faced the sea of blood, took a leap forward, stretched her body in all directions, slowly merged into the sea of blood, and the six paths of reincarnation gradually formed. As Houtu's body disappeared, the six paths of reincarnation became more perfect. When Houtu's body completely disappeared, the six paths of reincarnation were fully established.

At this moment, the Heavenly Way felt and transformed into a reincarnation, descending a large piece of boundless merit and virtue halo. It arrived above the Six Paths Reincarnation, where it split into two portions - one large and one small. Eighty percent flowed towards the reincarnation, while twenty percent flew towards Wuji's body. Upon seeing the merit and virtue, Wuji immediately sensed that the Six Paths Reincarnation had been established, knowing that the merit was obtained due to guiding Hou Tu in building the Six Paths Reincarnation.

The ancestral witch Hou Tu, who was about to perish, unexpectedly gave birth to her primordial spirit after obtaining this merit. This is a huge contribution made by the Heavenly Dao, giving her a thread of life, and Goddess Hou Tu cultivated her primordial spirit.
