Chapter Seven: An Unexpected Encounter
Mo Xin and Mo Jia walked towards the dwarf's weapon shop, Mo Jia chattered non-stop, eating snacks from street vendors while asking questions one after another. Fortunately, Mo Xin was a monster with almost an entire library in his brain, or else he wouldn't have been able to handle Mo Jia's curiosity.
"Brother, you're so amazing! How do you know everything?" Mo Jia looked at Mo Xin with sparkling eyes.
"What you read in books isn't meant for you to actually study hard, is it? You just won't listen." Mo Xin said with a loving pat on Mo Jia's head.
"Brother, what did you buy at the weapon shop?" Mo Jia couldn't help but ask Mo Xin out of curiosity, and also interrupted Mo Xin's teachings.
"Go there and I'll tailor some auxiliary cultivation equipment for you, which will be useful for your future cultivation." Mo Xin replied.
"Ah. Brother, you're really great. Then let's hurry up and go." Mo Ga said happily.
Hehe, maybe later you'll think differently, just don't complain when the time comes, it's quite amusing to think about.
The two of them soon arrived at the dwarf's weapon shop.
"Two young masters, good day. Is there anything our shop can do for you?" a dwarf attendant asked, the emblem of House Muo still recognizable to them.
"Hello, I'd like to find Dwarf Master Bock to customize some equipment." Mo Xin replied, also looking at the dwarves in the store. These dwarves were all less than 1 meter 3 tall, with honest faces and many of them had long beards, which was also Mo Xin's first time seeing a dwarf up close.
The dwarves live in the Lagu mountain range on the border of the Divine Dragon Empire, and they have frequent trade exchanges with the empire. The dwarves buy large quantities of grain, wine, and other living necessities from the Divine Dragon Empire using some weapons and gold coins. In return, the Divine Dragon Empire buys the dwarves' forged arms using gold coins or living necessities. The relationship between the two sides is not bad, so the dwarves have opened many weapon shops in the large cities of the Divine Dragon Empire. As a result, the status of the dwarves in the empire is relatively high. In this world where strength speaks louder than words, the status of a master armorer will naturally not be low, after all, a good weapon is still very important to a strong warrior. At least, not many people are willing to offend the dwarf masters, especially those swordsmen, knights, and warriors.
"Good land. Please wait a moment." The servant replied with a smile and then left to go find Dwarf Master Bock in the store.
Then Mo Xin began to look around the store. The dwarf's store was filled with a large number of weapons, mostly double-handed greatswords, greataxes and knight lances that were commonly used in this world. The materials were mainly black iron and fine steel, with some magic swords embedded with magic cores on display as high-end goods. There were many people in the dwarf's store, it seemed like this store was very famous in the Imperial City. Most of the customers who came to buy weapons were mercenaries from the Imperial City, students from mid-tier martial academies and some young nobles.
Mo Xin and Mo Jia were in the grand hall of the store. They looked a bit out of place. Completely two pretty kids. But the Mo family emblem on their bodies still made most people dare not to approach them.
"Are you Mo Xin?" A soft and weak voice sounded beside Mo Xin.
"Do you know me?" Mo Xin asked curiously as she looked at her.
Next to Mo Xin appeared three children, two girls and one boy, about the same age as him. Behind them followed two warriors, high-ranking and ninth-level experts. The one asking questions was a girl with silver hair, wearing a blue long dress, with a delicate face, blue eyes, looking at Mo Xin with a hint of shyness and tension. The other two were likely siblings, both with golden yellow hair, blue eyes, and elegant faces. Their luxurious clothes bore the emblem of the Dagu family, one of the four major families of the Divine Dragon Empire. The sister was a fire-element mage, while the brother was a swordsman, both at level 2. Judging from their attire, the gentle girl's family background should also be either wealthy or noble, and she was a level 2 water-element mage.
"What a waste of words. Almost everyone in the Imperial City knows you, the black-eyed boy with the Mo family crest, do you think there's anyone who doesn't know you?" Another girl from the Dao family replied rudely, her expression as if she had never seen such a foolish person before.
"Hehe, sorry about that. I didn't think I was so famous in the Imperial City. Hello, I'm Mo Xin, and this is my brother Mo Jia. I suppose you all know this already." Mo Xin's response was slightly awkward, but the awkward expression on his face was completely fake. Taking advantage of introducing his brother to everyone, he easily changed the subject among the crowd. In fact, Mo Xin didn't even know about these things himself, because he rarely left the house, so rarely that it could be ignored. Even if he had occasionally gone out, Mo Xin wouldn't have been bored enough to pay attention to such a boring matter.
"Hello, I'm Yalda Dogg, and this is my cousin Yara and my younger brother Yasen Dogg."
"It's great to meet you." Mo Xin greeted politely.
"I'm also happy to meet you," replied Ye Er, her voice soft and gentle. "Your black eyes are really beautiful, just like the rumors in the Imperial City." Her face still held a hint of envy.
"Uh-huh." Yalixue and Doug responded in unison, both with a look of approval on their faces, as well as a hint of jealousy.
The expressions of these people made Mo Xin, this old monster, also tend to blush a bit, and the trend of violent walking has been stimulated twice in a row.
Mo Xin chatted with them for a while, getting to know each other, it was unavoidable, this was also the etiquette of the nobility. Although it was something she disliked, in order not to stand out too much, Mo Xin still remembered everything. Mo Xin and those few people basically didn't have any common topics to talk about, most of the time they were just listening, because Mo Xin had a generation gap with them, and it was a big one at that.
They were just a few kids in Mo's eyes.
It wasn't until the service staff at the dwarf shop finally came to call Mo Xin that he bid a hasty farewell to the others.
After a few minutes, under the guidance of the waiter, Mo Xin brothers left and went to the reception room at the back of the store to meet that dwarf master.
"Are you two planning to customize a weapon?" Mo Xin and Mo Jia had just entered the back of the store, into the forging room, when Master Boke's incredibly loud voice rang out beside their ears, making Mo Jia's little head almost spin.
Master Bok, a typical dwarf with a big beard all over his face, short but extremely strong, with piercing eyes, is a master of internal energy. However, Master Bok's gaze at the Mo Xin brothers was somewhat disdainful, and he probably thought they were just two kids playing around.
"Yes, Master." Mo Xin replied. Mo Xin also didn't bother to notice the master's gaze, some talented people are usually a bit arrogant, directly ignoring him is fine, anyway as long as he crafts what he wants well, there's no need to dwell on too many trivial matters.
This dwarf master is also a ninth-level peak expert, with very deep aura on his body.
It seems that so-called masters are also worthless these days, are they everywhere? How can I see three in just a short while today, Mo Xin's heart feels somewhat unnatural.
Of course, Mo Xin didn't say much nonsense and directly took out the design drawings of the heavy backpack from his own space bag and handed them to Master Boke.
"It's this kind of structure vest, made with heavy black iron. I think there shouldn't be any problem, right?" Mo Xin said to Master Boke.
Bo Ke Master took a look at Mo Xin's design drawing, somewhat surprised to see Mo Xin, so young and already coming to customize weapons. He thought it was just two little brats' boring move, but only because of the Mo family's reason did he come over to meet the two little young masters of the Mo family. However, Mo Xin's design drawing made his eyes light up.
Master Boke had Mo Xin pay the deposit first, and then come back three days later with the rest of the money to pick up his custom-made equipment. After that, Master Boke left, leaving Mo Xin and his brother stranded in the reception room.
Master Boke should study this somewhat unusual design drawing carefully, after all, these things are what he saw for the first time.
The load-bearing vest designed by Mo Xin is quite different from the equipment used in weight training in this world, and it's more reasonable and practical. Plus, it was tailored specifically for Mo Jia, so it looks a bit special.
After settling all this, there was nothing else to do, so Mo Xin took Mo Jia and bid farewell to the dwarf's weapon shop, going straight home.

"Your Highness, today Princess Ye'er and the two cousins from the Doug family went to the dwarf's armory. They met the Mo brothers, that dark-eyed young man Mo Xin and his younger brother Mo Jia." One of the two warriors following behind Princess Ye'er reported respectfully to the middle-aged man in green robes sitting above, about today's journey and the people they encountered.
"What about those two brothers, Mo Xin the black-eyed youth and Mo Jia the genius younger brother?" asked the middle-aged man in green robes, with an air of natural superiority.
"Mokke is a second-class magician, and Moka has the strength of a third-class swordsman. Moreover, Moka seems to be about to become fourth-class soon, which lives up to his reputation as a genius." The warrior replied.
"How was their conversation?" The middle-aged man asked with some curiosity, after all, Mo Xin brothers and the children of other families in the Imperial City were not very familiar.
"It's still harmonious." The warrior replied.
"That's all right, you go down first." The middle-aged man said with a wave of his hand.
"Yes." The samurai withdrew at once.
"Mo Jia, do you think you're powerful now?" Mo Xin asked Mo Jia as he led him back home, on the small path leading to their own courtyard.
"Not yet." Mo said in a low voice, "But after a few more years, I will be stronger." The unyielding one said.
"Mo Jia, do you want to become stronger? Sacred level, or even Divine level." Mo Xin tempted his younger brother Mo Jia.
"Of course I want to." Mo Gao said without hesitation.
"Alright then, in three days I'll start your special training. Let me warn you first, the training process will be very tough, do you still want to participate?" Mo Xin reminded kindly.
"I will, I won't be afraid." Mo Jia nodded her small head very decisively.
"Alright. Go back and rest well, three days later, start going to my place after you finish your daily training sessions. Remember to keep it a secret, don't let a third person know." Mo Xin reminded as usual.
