Chapter 29: I Am a Skull Monster

Chapter 29: I Am the Skull Monster

(Today's second update is here, sorry for the slight delay. It's a new week again, thank you everyone for your continued support.)

What the hell is that thing?

At this moment, looking at Lin Taiping's raised left hand, dozens of pirates all retreated in terror, even holding their breath involuntarily, and their bodies were covered with goosebumps.

Yes, that was a left hand without flesh and blood, only leaving white and thin long bones, but still as flexible as human beings. The five sharp finger bones lightly scratched the air, making a chilling scraping sound.

Skull! This is a skull! A skull from the evil spirit tribe!

How is this possible? How can this be?! The captain of the guard's incredulous pupils constricted, he now somewhat understood why neither daggers nor a rain of arrows could kill this frail and weak little white face.

"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to startle you." Lin Taiping shrugged apologetically and casually pulled off his damaged long gown.

Under the golden sunlight at noon, his body was also undergoing a strange transformation. His flesh and blood gradually transformed into a skull, his smiling face turned into a white bony head, his black eyes disappeared, replaced by two dark cavities that emitted a faint green glow...

This eerie scene was more terrifying than seeing a walking, jumping skull, making the pirates tremble involuntarily, even their teeth chattering with fear.

The gods above, what exactly happened? That little white face was clearly a standard human being, but why could he suddenly turn into a skull? Was it said that he was originally an evil spirit of the dead, and only borrowed some kind of disguise magic?

In fact, Edward, who was trembling with fear, thought even further and even thought of the legendary conspiracy - decades ago, under the command of the Lich King Nicholas, the evil Skull Messenger infiltrated the human world, disguising himself as a Taoist priest, waiting for the right time to spread the plague and trigger the catastrophe of the undead, followed by hundreds of millions of undead armies...

But that's no longer important, what matters is that at this moment, Lin Taiping, who has completely transformed into a skull, reveals a kind smile, although this smile looks so gloomy and eerie: "Alright, everyone, I've adapted, now it's your turn?"

Crunch! Crunch! With each step forward, he would make a crunching sound that sent shivers down one's spine. What was even more terrifying was that as he slowly approached, the suffocating aura of death grew thicker and more intense.

Shrouded by the aura of death, the pirates retreated in terror. The captain of the guards suddenly went berserk and let out a loud roar, raising his giant axe and charging forward with extreme ferocity: "You damned little white face, even if you become an undead skeleton soldier, go to hell!"

Fierce winds howled, the giant axe flashed with silver-white energy, like a mountain crashing down, dozens of pirates roared in pursuit, bloodthirsty curved blades converged into a stormy rain, and the most heinous beheading came crashing down.

But in the face of this mortal threat, Lin Taiping still moved forward with a creaking sound, his body suddenly swelling up to three meters tall and transforming into a giant skull, with white bony armor covered in reverse spikes appearing out of thin air and completely enveloping him.

Whether it's a big axe or a curved knife, even the most frantic continuous slashing can't break through the hard white bone armor. Just as the pirates were watching in despair, Lin Taiping suddenly opened his skull palm again and lightly grasped at the void.

A dark light flashed by, and a gigantic white bone sword appeared out of thin air. The broad blade of the sword, entirely cast from white bones, was burning with a faint green phosphorescent fire that symbolized death. Faint black gas swirled around it, emitting a mournful hum.

No! This is no ordinary skeleton soldier! This is a Skeleton General, a terrifying existence from the depths of the underworld!

The squad leader suddenly screamed in terror: "Back off! Back off! Don't let this guy get close to us, or else..."

Before the words had fallen, a gigantic white bone sword, like thunder, swept across the sky. The chilling light of the blade was mixed with phosphorescent green fire, making the dazzling sunlight at noon lose its luster.

The force of a single blow, just the force of a single blow, sent five or six pirates spitting blood and flying backward like kites with broken strings. Their curved knives, helmets, and strong crossbows all shattered into pieces.

Right after that, under the gaze of everyone's horror, Lin Taiping still strode forward with big steps, carrying that heavy-as-a-mountain terrifying white bone sword, leisurely puffing out smoke rings while charging into the dense crowd with a fierce killing aura.

Without any tricks, and regardless of how many people surrounded him, in the midst of the clanging sounds of gold and iron, all he had to do was raise his giant white bone sword, and ruthlessly chop down, cutting everything that blocked his path into pieces.

I chop! I chop! I chop again! I chop chop chop chop chop chop chop!

At this moment, the entire deck was shrouded in a forest of white sword lights, broken curved knife fragments flying everywhere, blood splashing like fine rain, wails and screams mixed together, even covering up the roar of the waves.

No longer having the courage to resist, the terrified pirates could only shriek as they retreated backward, but this crowding brought even greater trouble. The gigantic white bone sword swung wildly in the crowd, like Death's scythe crazily reaping, and whether it was life or objects, everything before it was as fragile as paper.

"Damn it, what kind of trouble have we gotten ourselves into?" The captain of the guard wailed with a pale face, mustering up his last bit of courage, suddenly leaping high and swinging his large axe wildly, attempting to chop off the opponent's ribs from behind.

But this sneak attack was ineffective, Lin Taiping didn't even have the interest to dodge, and instead stood there leisurely with his arms crossed, allowing the large axe to futilely strike against his heavy armor: "Go ahead, no rush, you can chop slowly, remember to tell me when you get tired."

Finally realizing it was futile, the captain of the guard retreated in despair, but before he could escape, a bony hand suddenly reached out and grabbed his throat, lifting him into mid-air.

It was as if an iron claw had clutched his throat, the captain of the guard couldn't even breathe. At this moment, looking at that pale and gaunt skull face, he couldn't help but tremble: "No, no, don't, please don't..."

The pleading unexpectedly worked, and the rugged bone palm suddenly loosened. Lin Taiping retreated a few steps with an air of nonchalance, raised the giant white bone sword, and inserted it heavily onto the deck. Then he stood still, embracing his arms, making a gesture that meant "it's over".

What's going on? The originally thought-to-be-dead-for-sure captain of the guard, sat on the ground with a pale face, only to find that his crotch was wet. Those terrified pirates who were fleeing in panic, stopped in their tracks and looked at each other in confusion.

In the eerie silence, Edward, hiding behind a distant wooden barrel, suddenly became unusually clever and shouted in a shrill voice: "Time's up! Time's up! His spell is wearing off, he's going to turn back into a human!"

Is that so? The captain of the guards and the pirates looked at each other, gazing at Lin Taiping who was still standing in place without moving a single thread, suddenly stirring up their last hope. Oh gods above, if it's really like this, perhaps we still have a chance, a chance to turn defeat into victory.

But right after that, Lin Taiping's next sentence made them thoroughly despair: "Spell duration? Please, I just suddenly felt that this killing business isn't suitable for me, but rather more suitable... for them?"

They? The pirates all shuddered in unison, subconsciously turning their heads around, and in an instant, everyone, including the captain of the guard, suddenly turned pale as paper, even more bloodless than before.

Not far away on the sea, the Black Pearl was hoisting its white sails, sailing forward with the wind and waves. On the bow deck, Toru led thirty Minotaurs, furiously spewing white air, ferociously waving the Totem Pillars.

Of course, this is not the most frightening thing. The most frightening thing is that in the dense array of cow-headed people, Lilia, who claims to be the first beauty of the cow-headed tribe, is waving two huge frying pans and shouting violently: "Unforgivable! Absolutely unforgivable! You damned pirates, how dare you hurt my beloved? Auntie will definitely stew you!"

Tears streaming down their faces! At this moment, all the pirates collectively burst into tears, the captain of the guard closed his eyes in utter despair, while Edward, who had already fainted, regretted for the first time in his life that he couldn't swim.

But in their terrified gaze, Lin Taiping happily puffed out smoke rings and then asked very sincerely -

"Alright everyone, now it's time for you to make a choice... So, do you want to be stewed by Lilia, or stewed by Lilia, or stewed by Lilia?"
