Chapter 18: The Mysterious Jade Butterfly

Chapter Eighteen: The Mysterious Jade Butterfly

As the saying goes, great difficulties do not kill, and there must be good fortune afterwards. Qin Hao has experienced this firsthand. After coming to Tianxuan, he had been through many twists and turns, and he was as unlucky as could be. Now that he had finally turned his luck around, Qin Hao felt a sense of relief in his heart. However, he couldn't help but wonder what the mysterious black butterfly was.

Qin Hao finally understood why he was able to break through the trapped dragon's ascension formation and enter this world instead. Originally, the jade butterfly should have been in the possession of the tomb owner, and it should have been the tomb owner who crossed over, not him. It was all because he took away the crucial item that made the trapped dragon's ascension possible. In other words, the ascension didn't actually fail, it just changed to him instead.

The role of that jade disc is absolutely crucial, just like in China, it's common to see many families hanging Bagua mirrors at their door, and many people think they're used to ward off ghosts, but that's not the case.

The role of this Bagua mirror is very significant. In Feng Shui layout, this Bagua mirror is called the first-class Feng Shui instrument for resolving evil spirits.

Its nature is to block outdoor bad building shapes, such as wall corners or sharp-shaped buildings, and the method of use is to place it outdoors, such as hanging it on the eaves or walls, taboo placing it indoors facing people!

Therefore, this object can only be used for external purposes and any shape or form can be resolved. However, it is not suitable to hang too many, only one per direction, and no more than three in the whole house, otherwise it will inevitably harm itself and bring bad luck.

The so-called Sha Qi is actually the network of Sha veins hidden in the heaven and earth. The Bagua mirror absorbs these Sha Qi because it simulates a small universe, containing Taiji, where movement generates Yang and stillness generates Yin, forming two instruments, which in turn generate four images: Lesser Yang, Older Yang, Lesser Yin, and Older Yin.

The Four Symbols are the changes of yin and yang in the natural world, also representing the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The Four Symbols give birth to yin and yang again, generating the Eight Trigrams. The Eight Trigrams represent heaven, earth, wind, thunder, water, fire, mountain, and lake, and indicate strong, smooth, dynamic, people, trapped, beautiful, stopped, and spoken.

Mirrors have been auspicious objects for dispelling evil spirits since ancient times. According to legend, the Yellow Emperor met with the Queen Mother of the West at Wangwu and cast twelve mirrors, using one each month, which was the origin of mirrors. Later, ancient mirrors were made of bronze, and they became popular during the Warring States period.

Normally, people don't pay attention, but actually a small Bagua mirror contains the operation of the universe, and there are countless evil meridians in the universe, but they can all be absorbed into this ancient mirror, and then transformed by Taiji yin-yang to eliminate these evil energies. However, the functions of various Feng Shui instruments are different. The function of Bagua mirror is to block the external evil meridians coming from outside the door, but it's difficult to block the internal evil meridians generated inside the house. Therefore, it's often seen that some families place Pixiu at home to calm down the house.

Qilin, the overlord of Feng Shui instruments, can often be seen in the form of a kylin or golden toad inside restaurants. There is also a very large qilin at the entrance of China Construction Bank headquarters. The entrance of pharmacies features an elephant, while some government agencies have lions guarding their doors. Even the city emblem and iconic buildings of Nanjing are dominated by qilins.

These are not for decoration, but Feng Shui instruments, such as Pi Xiu, which can attract wealth and ward off evil spirits. They have a particularly significant effect on those with unstable income or irregular work schedules, such as salespeople, business owners, foreign exchange traders, stockbrokers, financiers, lottery players, futures traders, gamblers, etc. In addition to helping with irregular income, they also bring benefits to regular income earners, so it is advisable for business people to place Pi Xiu in their offices or homes.

For example, lions can promote official fortune, some instruments can match marriage destiny, and some can prosper in literature and studies.

Especially the most common Bagua mirror, if someone's Bagua mirror is facing their own window, then be careful, because some Bagua mirrors have not been opened to light, so they do not have the function of resolving evil spirits, but only reflect the evil spirits, and in the end all the evil spirits will be reflected back into their own home.

But there are ways to resolve it, you can add a screen to the window to block the shot, or place needle-leaf plants such as cacti in front of the window, but they should not obstruct the auspicious directions of the homeowner and other family members. Otherwise, it will be unfavorable. Alternatively, you can place a convex mirror in front of the window facing the opponent's Bagua mirror to counteract the evil energy of the shot.

If the Bagua mirror is facing your own front door, you can hang a pot of leafy and drooping plants on either side of the door inside the house, such as English ivy or spider plant. The plants do not need to be placed in the area where the Bagua mirror is reflecting. Alternatively, you can also paste Door Gods outside the door, as they can block evil spirits. Another option is to hang a Spring Couplets with the words "Tian Guan Ci Fu" (Heavenly Official Bestows Blessings), which can be used to block the rushing energy.

But those are Feng Shui instruments for the Yang house, that is, where living people live. There are also Feng Shui instruments in the Yin house to suppress it. Although Qin Hao understood these things, at that time he didn't know that the jade disc was a Feng Shui instrument to suppress the entire tomb. Although he took away the jade disc, he did not break the whole situation, and the Dragon Ascending to Immortality was still activated, which shows how powerful the person who laid down this Feng Shui formation is.

And he became the one who crossed over, of course there was an unexpected twist, Qin Hao wasn't in the coffin.

Whether it's a Yang house or a Yin house, the placement of Feng Shui instruments is very important. Some things must be placed at the entrance, and some things must be hung on the door. Once they are misplaced, they will have an adverse effect.

"I'd rather go back to Earth and become a Feng Shui master." Qin Hao shook his head. Normally, when he saw Feng Shui masters, they would use tools like the Luopan to measure and map out the Feng Shui of a location, in order to find the locations of the hidden Sha Qi, and then place Feng Shui devices to suppress them. It often took several months or even years of effort to map it out, just like the case of the Fēngmén Village's trapped dragon ascending to immortality formation.

But some simple Feng Shui instruments don't need to be measured or drawn, just place them in a specific position, such as the Bagua mirror, which is hung at the entrance.

It's estimated that even Chinese geomancers wouldn't have thought that someone like Qin Hao would appear, who can completely see through the veins of heaven and earth, although he is still a bit fuzzy about the deeper layers, but he can also make out a general idea, so if he were to go back and become a geomancer, it's likely that other geomancers would lose their jobs.

These feng shui instruments are effective because they carve the pulse of heaven and earth with their physical form, which is similar to the effect of a yin zhai (a type of traditional Chinese tomb), both can break wealth and avoid disasters. They all work by matching heaven and earth, using the power of heaven and earth to change human destiny.

But in the eyes of many people, these are superstitious in science, but the real effect is unimaginable, especially some government agencies and so on. If there was no effect, who would be foolish enough to spend so much money buying two stone lions and putting them at the door?

But for Qin Hao, this can only be a fantasy, as it's still uncertain whether he can return or not. Especially with the Tang Monk meat, which has left Qin Hao in a state of mixed emotions. However, now he can finally cultivate.

"Husband, I'm scared!!!" Qin Hao was trying to figure out the origin of the jade disc, but the beautiful woman beside him leaned in timidly, her stunning figure making her a peerless beauty. The subtle fragrance on her body kept attracting Qin Hao, making him feel restless, but every time he saw the genuine expression on her face, Qin Hao suddenly felt like a beast.

"Xiao Meng is not afraid, her husband is here." Qin Hao was self-satisfied and naturally hugged Xiao Meng in his arms.

Xiao Meng is the name Qin Hao gave to this white-picked wife, no way, he asked many times, Xiao Meng still didn't know what was going on, as if she had lost her memory, but the expression on her face made people's hearts ache, in the end Qin Hao could only give her a name, since she was so cute, then just call her Xiao Meng.

What is meant by "great calamities will not die and must have good fortune later" is exactly this.

Suddenly, Qin Hao thought of that old ancestor of the Mystic Sect. This guy didn't even leave any ashes behind. Could it be that he was absorbed by Little Meng?

Qin Hao asked: "Xiao Meng, tell your husband, where did that old fellow go just now? You didn't take him in, did you?"

"No, he's gone, really, he's gone, Xiao Meng didn't receive him... didn't... , Xiao Meng just saw him bullying her husband, so... so she felt very uncomfortable, so...". Xiao Meng was anxious and almost cried, making people feel distressed, but no matter how they explained it, they couldn't explain where that person went.

"Don't worry, I'm not blaming you. Think carefully, why did he disappear?" Qin Hao tightly hugged Xiao Meng, trying to calm her down.

Upon hearing this, Xiaomeng felt a bit better, but her face still had a pitiful look. She scratched her head and suddenly thought of something, excitedly saying like a little kid: "I know, I know! He's turned into purple gas, that's it!"

As she spoke, Xiaomeng waved her hand and a soft purple gas appeared in front of Qin Hao's eyes. This purple gas was just like the divine fruit, emitting a brilliant light that made people want to swallow it.

"This purple gas is so comfortable, there's also a small dish of it on my husband's head, but...but..." Little Meng suddenly looked like she had done something wrong and was about to cry again.

"What's going on?" Qin Hao asked.

"It's just that all the energy inside has gone to Xiaomeng, my husband, I..." Xiaomeng's eyes were filled with tears, probably no one expected that such a strong woman would be as weak and fragile as a child, caring about others' feelings, easily crying, easily getting hurt, like water."

"It's okay, husband's is just Meng's, don't cry, it won't look good if you cry. Husband hopes to see Meng happy and smiling every day." Qin Hao naturally wanted to pamper her, having picked up such a beautiful wife who was also so endearing, but this was just Qin Hao's one-sided wish, taking advantage of someone in distress.

"Mm." Xiaomeng nodded and smiled, luring people to their deaths without being held accountable.

"In the jade disc, it originally had this, that is to say, this purple gas isn't Xiao Meng's. This purple gas can transform human power into purple gas, and it's useless for living people, not only can't transform, but also strengthen human power. That is to say, this purple gas is only useful for dead people. Is this what Master said, taking the momentum from the dead and turning it into one's own use?" Qin Hao thought to himself, if that's really the case, then he'll probably be a grave robber for the rest of his life. With this body, he can totally visit Tian Xuan and steal the tomb of the Great Teachings' king, it's not impossible."

Xuantian Feng is indeed a pinnacle of humanity, but he's also extremely poor. The pinnacle of humanity has its differences, for example, if a pinnacle from a major sect were to emerge, they could absolutely annihilate a group of pinnacles like Xuantian Feng. This is a matter of accumulation, as well as the secrets of cultivation, and even more so, it's about understanding the grand trend of human dao.

"What's most important is that there's also the legendary Emperor's Mausoleum." Qin Hao was overjoyed in his heart, this time Tian Xuan still wouldn't let him have his way, and from now on no one would be able to easily manipulate him.

"Husband, you're smiling so wickedly." Little Meng said suddenly.

"Heh heh." Qin Hao pinched Xiao Meng's nose, feeling delighted beyond measure. When things were going well for him, everything seemed to fall into place. This tomb raid not only netted him a free wife, but also possibly one who was an even more formidable cultivator than her master. Most importantly, it had given him hope for his future cultivation.

"Put away the purple energy and go out with your husband." Qin Hao walked outside, where there was a corpse of a cultivator that could be used for experimentation.
