Information Sheet 11: Team Pyrewing - Rescue Guild Internal Archive
Internal Team Record: #0441-SR
Rescue Rank: Peak Silver-Rank
Home Base: Post Town
Activity: Team Pyrewing formed on February 5th in the year 120 a.V. and completed their last official rescue mission on September 23th 126 a.V.
Status: Missing In Action; Presumed Dead
Team Composition:
Team Pyrewing was founded by independent rescuer Kaen, an at that time 23 years old male Arcanine, already rated as a mid silver-rank rescuer with six years of practical experience as a rescuer. His expertise mainly lay in high-speed response, frontline operations and crowd control. He was joined by his long-time friend Risa, a 21 years old female Hawlucha rated as a low silver-rank and 4 years of practical experience as a rescuer. Her strengths were aerial assault, dungeon infiltration and trap disposal, making her a capable dungeoneer. The two of them unexpectedly recruited Irren, a 20 year old female Absol rated as only high bronze-rank and 2 years of experience, into their team as well, just two months after its formation. Irren proved to hold exceptional skill in hazard scouting, precognitive analysis and crisis prediction.
Team Origin and Mission Profile:
Team Pyrewing was formed three years after Post Town officially became the new central recue hub on the Mist Continent, most likely to make use of the widely offered incentives to form new rescue teams operating from the town. This was necessary in a reaction to higher Dungeon activity in the north of the continent, with more Dungeon Pokemon starting to roam close to the villages in the area. They were mainly known for high-risk Dungeon retievals, oftentimes taking missions to search for missing bronze-rank teams and regularily even rescuing them out of Dungeons. Other than that they often took missions to hunt down or capture criminals, as well as teaching brelligent local Pokemon a lesson. They also participated in stopping the Kilinoea Road Dungeon Break, evacuating 56 out of a nearby village and holding their ground until a gold-rank team managed to intervene. Team Pyrewing acts incredibly brazen, oftentimes without any shred of self-preservation in the defense of others.
Team Disappearance:
Team Pyrewing officially went missing in action on October 2nd 126 a.V. after accepting a mission to retrieve Team Whirlwind, a bronze-rank rescue team which went into the Dungeon known as Inflora Forest, a Dungeon only silver-rank teams and above are allowed to enter due to how dangerous it is. The last status update received stated that they found the Dungeon conncecting to another Dungeon, which was later confirmed to be the Desolate Canyon, a known gold-rank Dungeon. After Team Pyrewing didn't report back in for a full 24 hours, two gold-rank teams, Team Skytrail and Team Thornbreak, were dispatched on an emergeny mission to search for both Team Whirlwind, as well as for Team Pyrewing.

Search and Investigation Timeline:
Team Skytrail reported success at finding Team Whirlwind deep inside the Desolate Canyon within the first five hours of the search. They were heavily injured but alive. Team Thronbreak was to guide them back while Team Skytrail continued their search for Team Pyrewing. After three days of searching and regular updates Team Skytrail reported finding signs of Team Pyrewing having wandered into another Dungeon known as the Miragelands. The Miragelands Dungeon was too dangerous for a gold-rank team to search through, so the guild ordered Team Skytrail to retreat and escalated the rescue quest of Team Pyrewing to platinum-rank. A week later the platinum-ranked Team Ironvale took over the search, combing through the Miragelands for signs of Team Pyrewings. After another two weeks the platinum-ranked Team Astral Crown joined them in the hopes that their impressive skill regarding high-danger Dungeon anomalies and Dungeon deep-diving makes them more suitable to finding Team Pyrewing or their remains in such an anomalous Dungeon like the Miragelands. After two weeks of relentless search without any success to show for it, the guild ordered Team Ironvale and Team Astral Crown to retreat.
Conclusions:
After some consideration the guild decided against escalalating the rescue quest of Team Pyrewing to diamond-rank, considering how much time had passed and how any trails had most likely become untraceable. The survival chance of even just a single member of Team Pyrewing afterall that time fell below 1%. Team Pyrewing hereby gets offcially declared as 'Missing In Action; Presumed Dead'. This file will be archived under 'Missing Rescuers In Service Of The Mist Continent'.
Restricted Addendum:
Towards the end of the search platinum-ranked Team Astral Crown reported noticing a big anomaly of fire-type and psychic-type energy towards the nothern edges of the Dungeon. Psychic-type energy is highly unusual in the Miragelands Dungeon and therefore suspicious. The request of Team Astral Crown to expand their search northward towards the Umbral Abyss was declined by the guild. It stands to reason that one of the Mythicals of the Umbral Abyss might've intervened and brought Team Pyrewing into the crater, especially seeing how the guild was unable to even just find their remains. Either way, the disappearance of Team Pyrewing remains one of the guild’s most troubling cold cases in recent decades.
