I woke up back in my crib.
It must have worked and she, mother, must have decided against the walk.
Good, good.
Ok, I needed to figure out what I should be doing.
I can't just keep sleeping all the time… wait, isn't that what babies do?
Maybe not…
Being awake for a few seconds and then right falling back to sleep might cause some concern and what would that kind of grinding produce?
Then again, I don't know much about babies.
That could be normal?
Either way, I have some ideas about things to keep myself occupied.
I have these little uncoordinated arms and legs.
Let's try some small exercises to get them working better, kinda like physical therapy.
I'm stuck… on my back… in a crib… I lack an excess of exercise choices I can do in this situation.
Let's start with air pushups and bicycles.
My arms moved slowly through the air and my bicycle kicks turned to my legs sliding across the mat below me, but I tired quickly from the flailing.
Ok, so a one-day-old baby shouldn't be trying to grind…
{*Ding* Ambulatory Movement skill up}
But gains!
I got something from it, but now I can't move my limbs.
Let's see here, [System].
{
}
Hmmm… I'm at 0 SP.
I wonder if SP is like stamina.
Last time I was at 0 SP I passed out too, unless MP needs to be at zero as well?
Wait, I have new skills?
And a status condition?!
Ok, I didn't convince my mother to not go out…
Let's analyze these things in a top-to-bottom order while keeping an eye on my MP.
{Ambulatory Movement: The first step to being able to take a step.}
{*Ding* Analysis skill up}
I guess the old adage of learning to crawl before you walk applies here.
And my [Analysis] skill went up, nice.
{
}
My MP increased by one.
I think the status values work like muscles.
The more you work them, the stronger they become.
The labels on the system screen appear different too?
{MP: Quantized the amount of magic or magic-like abilities you can use. Magic reduced to zero causes stamina to be consumed as a substitute, with poor efficiency. When both MP and SP are empty, a faint state will occur. WARNING: Overdrawing stamina through this can affect your health.}
Finally, some more information, and this is a lot more to use [Analysis] on to keep me occupied.
Also, [Analysis] seems to be a "magic-like ability".
Even with that knowledge, I already figured this out but I won't just be able to use Analysis willy-nilly like some protagonists from the novels, but good thing it only seems to use 1 MP.
This differs from my old world, where you could only use magic and skills a certain number of times between resting for a long time.
Hmm… I should be careful about overdrawing my stamina and keep track of how long it takes for it to recharge.
…
I didn't have a way to keep time.
Can I get something like a system clock when I find out more about the world?
{*Ding* Investigate skill up.}
Neat, I'm doing something to increase that skill.
I should check out my Status Condition before it goes away.
It was something new to investigate.
Status conditions resolve by themselves in this world, right?
Hopefully…
{Sunburn: Your body has taken lasting damage from the sun. There is minor pain on contact and more stamina is consumed for actions.}
Thanks… Mothe…
