I have always loved this game... It suddenly appeared out of nowhere to the people without advertisements or anything, and it caused a huge buzz in the world. The realism, the skills, the heroes, the heroines, the secondary characters, and the AI of the characters are features that other games might not be able to catch up with except after 30 years of development.... But the strange thing is how they released 3 parts for it in just one year; a game of this quality would probably take at least ten years to develop one part... But okay, it doesn't matter, I can cssify the game as legendary tier... But one thing bothered me about it, something that many people might find strange if they heard it... The thing that bothered me is.... the protagonist of the story, the hero of the game, the main character who will save the world in the second part according to what I heard people talking about... The reason for my hatred for the protagonist of the novel is not his personality, as he is a hero in the end, but the reason for my hatred is the type of hero; he is a Mimic.... A character who can copy the skills and understanding of other characters who spend their lives developing them, just by taking a single drop of their essence blood. Maybe if it stopped here, I wouldn't care much, but this type of hero brags about this power; they are arrogant, conceited, and disrespectful to their rivals who shed blood and sweat to refine themselves to higher and higher levels, while the protagonist, just by drinking a drop of their blood, surpasses them, and people praise him as a genius monster, and he humbles himself with arrogance when he dispys his strength... While his friends or rivals, when they exert their effort to develop, he surpasses them as easily as drinking water, then leaves them in the wind, broken because they cannot keep up with him, while in reality, he doesn't exert any effort at all, just like characters who rely on a System that gives missions and makes your power evolve.... Disrespectful, unfair, and fundamentally wrong; this is not something called talent. No matter how superior your talent is in understanding, the body, your grasp of Mana, or the speed of training, I won't mind this; this is your right from your parents or ancestors because they exerted their effort to inherit it to their children.... The reason I py this game is that once you finish the hero's path, you can choose any character, whether a main heroine or even a secondary character to py with... A beautiful creative idea that coincided with the release of novels where the hero moves into a secondary character... But what caught my attention was one character who was not a hero, a secondary character, a vilin, or anything. An Extra character. A character that embodies everything I love for a protagonist to be.
Aeon Darkis.
An extra character who is controversial and caused a stir within the game's community circles. Why? The matter is simple. He cannot use Mana; he can only use Blood Energy and Aura. A character so strong that even the Hero, even if he used his entire arsenal of skills and power, would never be able to defeat him in the Academy entrance exams. A character second to none in close combat. A character who developed his body to the limits of humans in that world without relying on refining Mana or strengthening it. Just his blood and aura; he can break any skill. But unfortunately, this superiority over his peers faded when they reached the age of 16, when they began to be able to connect with the power of heaven and earth and harness it; even weak characters could defeat him... Then he died at the end of the first academic year. We don't know how; all we know is a passing comment from the Hero saying that he and the heroines survived because of Aeon's help... Then the company released his story, the story of the Extra character, Aeon.... The third son of Duke Darkis from the Kingdom of Estona, a small kingdom on the borders of the eastern continent. He cannot use Mana for reasons specific to his lineage. He trained his body brutally to break his limits every time. ...But what truly surprised me was.... that he has damage in his soul, for his soul is shattered... I didn't understand this part specifically, but what I know is that spiritual power is very important in this game, directly linked to mental energy which makes a person able to manipute Mana, Aura, and his blood energy... I saw several paths where the Hero's soul gets damaged, and he cannot control his energy, and his power drops by more than 90% immediately until he treats it... But it seems, according to the company's description of the character, that his soul damage is permanent, and the Duke spent vast amounts of money to heal him, but to no avail. Here, the matter is strange; how can he be this strong to the point that no matter what you do, you cannot defeat him in the early beginnings of the game? Because according to the game's hero, he says that Aeon has control over his energy reaching perfection, and this is a kind of madness according to him....
"Haaa"
I sighed while sending a message to the Exodia game company. The message was simple... asking if they had any ideas for the future where one could py as the character Aeon. I know it's frustrating and a far-fetched matter, but this is the extent of my admiration for this character, as if I see a part of me in him. I get up from my desk and prepare myself for school; university entrance exams are near.. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself.
Alfred Knight. I am already 19 years old. My appearance is above average; not handsome nor ordinary, but above average. Bck hair reaching the shoulders, tied in a short, raised ponytail. Bck eyes. Well, my height, if I remember correctly from the st time, is indeed 1.80m. A social person with a small circle of friends.... Well, I'm done introducing myself.
I returned home in the evening, rested a bit, then stood hesitating between studying for the exams or pying the second part of the game, as I heard that the hero for the second part is not the same as the hero of the first part, but they will meet in one part.... I had already downloaded it, but with the ck of time, I haven't pyed it yet... I hesitated a bit, then my conscience defeated me. I sighed and went to study..
----
I finished studying a bit early today. I got up from my desk while stretching to get rid of the exhaustion from sitting for two consecutive hours...
I muttered with a bit of annoyance: "What a torture, I'd prefer dueling a sixth-degree monster over studying all this amount."
I turned on my phone to see the time.
It was already eight o'clock.
I prepared lunch quickly for one person, as I live alone without a family.
I finished quickly and washed the dishes so my conscience wouldn't torture me while I tried to stay up to py... I quickly went and turned on my device... The moment I was about to press the start button for the game "Exodia: Central Continent," a notification caught my attention. My eyes widened slightly because I saw the sender's title was the company's email.
Exodia Gaming Company.
My hand was excited as I pressed the button to open the message and read it carefully.
What caught my attention first was the time of the reply, as it was only two minutes after I sent them the message.
At first, I didn't expect them to reply at all, let alone receive such a fast reply. I quickly directed my gaze to the content of the message, which started with "Our dear Aeon,"
Yes, man, I am fond of this extra character who did not appear on the screen except 5 times and was not mentioned except 6 times in the entire game...
"Our dear Aeon;
Regarding your inquiry, we can offer you this experience.
If you agree, please send your reply to the message."
It was short.
I was excited when I saw the reply; I sent the reply quickly, a brief message carrying my agreement and my excitement for this offer; it was like a dream coming true before me.
While I was waiting, I went to ensure it was a real company email and not a scam.
I verified it more than 10 times, perhaps.
Not much time passed until a notification sound reached me. I hurried to open it...
There were no official greetings.
Just a message in one line.
I was surprised by the beginning of the message: "Welcome back, Aeon******"
Before I could read the st word, intense drowsiness overcame me suddenly, and I felt my limbs suddenly become cold, and the cold spreading to my body.
I opened my mouth to mutter anything, but I found myself not having the strength to even move my tongue.
My vision became more blurry until I fell off my chair... The st thing I heard was the sound of the chair falling, as if it were hundreds of meters away from me, then my consciousness slipped away into a deep sleep, or I don't know if it can be called sleep; perhaps the word death describes my state more expressively...
