Chapter 11 – Aeralith, the Devourer of Winds

Several days passed, and Ariana used that time to bring new life into the world. Strictly speaking, they weren’t truly new beings—rather, they were creatures she remembered clearly from her previous life.

One of them was the pig.

Using her Mass Life Creation ability, Ariana created several of them at once. And she didn’t do this just once, but three separate times. After each use, she waited for her ability’s cooldown to end, then moved to a different location, slightly farther away from the previous group. That way, she ensured the pigs would naturally spread throughout Arcadia, preventing excessive concentration in a single area.

While flying across the world, carrying her creations from one region to another, Ariana witnessed an unexpectedly amusing sight.

  A chicken.

Alone, standing in the middle of a field.

What caught her attention wasn’t just its strange behavior, but the sheer amount of mana the creature possessed—far too much for something as simple as an ordinary chicken.

The bird flapped its wings forcefully.

And as if the wind itself responded to the motion, a gust of air rose around it. To the chicken, this probably felt impressive. To Ariana, it was simply… curious.

It quickly became clear what was happening.

That behavior was actually a hunting method.

Every time the chicken flapped its wings like that, insects on the ground were thrown into the air. Then, moving far faster than any normal chicken should, it rushed forward and caught them one by one without missing a single target.

Ariana watched in silence, genuinely surprised.

“…An intelligent chicken,” she thought, unable to hide a faint smile.

In her previous life, many people said chickens were descended from dinosaurs.

So… what would stop a chicken from evolving into something like a phoenix? — Ariana wondered.

Perhaps this was happening because of Arcadia’s unique conditions. Mana in the world was incredibly abundant, and with so few living beings to absorb it, certain areas accumulated absurd amounts of energy. There were even places some animals instinctively avoided, since too much mana could be just as dangerous as too little.

  That chicken had somehow adapted.

  Or evolved.

The thought only deepened Ariana’s curiosity. If her creations began evolving on their own, what kinds of beings might they become in the future? This was already beyond her direct control. She didn’t understand who—or what—governed this process. There was no interface. No system message. No clear rule.

  The world simply… reacted.

For now, Ariana decided to leave those thoughts for later.

She took flight and headed toward the sea. Even from afar, the immense concentration of fish was obvious. Massive schools filled the waters of Arcadia. On its own, that was a good thing—abundant, healthy life. Still, Ariana knew that without regulation, it could become a serious problem in the future.

  No growth was infinite.

Her idea was simple: create a creature that would feed on the fish, but wouldn’t multiply uncontrollably. Something stable. Controlled. Just for testing.

This time, Ariana decided to create only a single individual.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

She opened the System Shop and purchased a Create Life card.

The card worked intuitively. Based on the user’s thoughts and intent, the creature would take shape. Ariana held the card in one hand while gazing at the ocean below. Her mind drifted. She remembered the massive marine creatures from her previous life—legends, documentaries, stories of giants that ruled the seas.

For a brief moment, her thoughts returned to the chicken using wind to hunt insects.

The memory was so unexpected that Ariana let out a genuine laugh.

And in that exact moment, the card in her hand shattered.

  “…What?” she muttered in shock.

Before she could react, an overwhelming amount of energy began gathering in front of her. Ariana felt the air vibrate. A roaring wind formed around the shore, agitating the water and violently whipping her green hair.

  The energy kept growing.

  And growing.

  Something was forming.

  Ariana’s heart raced.

“Damn it… what did I just do?” she exclaimed, a chill running down her spine.

  Then, suddenly, the wind stopped.

  Silence fell over the area.

Floating in the air before Ariana was a colossal being.

  A white whale.

Not an ordinary whale. Its body was enormous—far larger than any she had ever heard of in her previous life. It wasn’t falling toward the sea. Instead, it slowly rose into the sky, supported by the wind itself.

  The air around it obeyed.

Currents bent to its movement, as if the sky had accepted its presence without resistance.

Ariana stood frozen, staring at the impossible sight.

  Majestic.

  Silent.

  Overwhelming.

“…This definitely wasn’t part of the plan,” she whispered.

  [Ding!]

  [Warning.]

  [Irregular creation detected.]

  [Analyzing entity...]

  [Result: Conceptual entity manifested.]

  [High-level classification.]

  [Entity exceeds standard lifeform parameters.]

[Arcadia has given rise to a Mythical Existence.]

  [Warning:]

[This entity is not a standard biological organism.]

[Its existence is partially sustained by environmental mana and the world’s laws.]

  [Automatic registration initiated.]

The barrage of notifications before Ariana’s eyes made her heart pound.

Before she could react, new messages appeared.

  [New Mythical Entity registered.]

  [Name: Aeralith]

  [Title: Celestial Leviathan of Arcadia]

  [Warning:]

  [Direct interference is not recommended.]

[Forced control may cause ecological or conceptual instability.]

Ariana watched in silence as the system named and classified the creature on its own.

She was completely stunned. She still didn’t fully understand what had triggered this. In a single moment, without clear intent, she had created something far beyond expectations. A being born not only from her will, but from the world’s condition itself.

  However, something immediately stood out.

The massive amount of mana saturating Arcadia was rapidly decreasing—so drastically that it was noticeable even without her deeper divine perception.

  “So… that’s it…” she murmured.

Perhaps that creature’s birth was a direct response to the excessive mana accumulation within the world.

  The interface shifted once more.

  [Name: Aeralith]

  [Title: Celestial Leviathan of Arcadia]

  [Classification: Mythical Entity]

  [Domain: Skies / Ocean]

  [Average Level: 4]

  [Attributes:]

  Strength: 120

  Agility: 40

  Vitality: 180

  Intelligence: 22

  Mana: 300

  [Description:]

A primordial mythical entity born from the convergence of excessive mana and the unfocused intent of its creator.

Aeralith transcends conventional ecosystems, existing as a living bridge between sky and ocean.

Rather than relying solely on physical consumption, it absorbs mana directly from the atmosphere and the sea, stabilizing excessive magical concentrations across Arcadia.

Its presence regulates large-scale ecological balance, preventing uncontrolled population explosions in marine environments.

Though not inherently aggressive, Aeralith exerts overwhelming territorial pressure.

Its movements influence wind currents, climate patterns, and migratory routes of both aerial and aquatic life.

Ariana’s gaze returned to the colossal creature hovering over the ocean.

In the next instant, Aeralith opened its mouth.

  There was no roar.

  No sound.

And yet, an overwhelming force formed.

The ocean water surged upward, violently pulled toward the creature. A colossal vortex opened beneath it, dragging an entire school of fish upward, vanishing into its maw.

  The sea trembled.

Ariana felt a shiver run through her body.
