Jake’s words were barely out of his mouth when the three guys shook their heads like crazy!
“Boss, I suggest you forget about it!”
“You should ask someone else!”
“Don’t come any closer, or I'm calling the cops!”
The three of them looked grim, staring at Jake as he approached, as if facing a major threat!
No way!
They would never trust their boss again!
This was a hard-earned lesson paid for with blood, sweat, and tears!
Jake smiled faintly. “Well, one of you three has to be the guinea pig!”
The three looked at each other. The air started to crackle with tension.
Liam cleared his throat, trying to muster up some emotional leverage to sway the others with the power of friendship.
But before he could even get his feelings warmed up, Mike suddenly contorted his face in pain, clutching his stomach.
“Crap, I accidentally drank some expired water last night, and my stomach is killing me!”
“You guys go ahead, I need to hit the restroom. I’ll be back later!”
The next second, Mike vanished faster than a speeding bullet.
Ethan slapped his forehead and yelled, “I forgot we have a few Cadavers still in the Death Shack! Gotta hurry before something happens!”
Liam watched in disbelief, a feeling of betrayal washing over him!
Mike running off like that, he could understand.
After all, Mike was always quick-witted!
But what he didn’t expect was for Ethan, the reliable, straightforward guy, to also betray the cause. When did he learn this trick?
Looks can be deceiving, after all!
Jake patted Liam on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, I found you a partner. If anything goes wrong, you’ll have company on the way down to hell!”
Soon enough, the other person Jake had called arrived.
It was Liam.
Liam seemed to have a soft spot for the Hyper Velocity Coaster, riding it every once in a while.
He claimed he did it for two reasons.
First, he wanted to win the $10,000 reward.
Second, riding the Hyper Velocity Coaster gave him a feeling of being back in flight academy, training hard every day to become a pilot.
He knew he could never go back to flight academy, never relive those days. All that was left for him was piecing together the dreams life crushed with this Hyper Velocity Coaster.
Over time, Jake and Liam had become acquainted.

When Liam heard Jake was offering $500 to test a drop tower ride, he came running.
…
"Put on these suits."
Jake took two nanotech suits from the Launch to the Atmosphere preparation room and handed them to Liam and Liam.
Liam took the suit, scratching his head in confusion. “Boss, why do we need protective suits for a drop tower ride? Seems like overkill. And, you know, I used to be a pilot. The pressure of a drop tower ride isn't really going to cut it, if you get what I am saying.”
On the other hand, Liam remained silent, and instead already began changing clothes.
Thanks to the Hyper Velocity Coaster experience, he was now ready for everything.
Whatever the boss says, just do it, or you’ll regret it!
“Nope, the suits have a GPS tracking device in them. Everyone has to wear them,” Jake said.
"GPS tracking device?" Liam repeated, processing Jake's words, trying to think what to make out of the device.
Why would you need GPS on a drop tower ride?
“Don’t argue!” Jake handed them two helmets. “Put these on and follow me. You'll see why the GPS is needed soon enough!”
Liam put his helmet right away.
Liam hesitated but eventually put it on, also confused about the point of it all.
He couldn't help feel uneasy.
This was the first time a drop tower ride has turned into this official looking kind of situation! It all felt so stressful!
“Alright, follow me!” Jake shouted.
They were wearing fully enclosed nanotech helmets with vision-blocking and soundproofing capabilities. Right now, all they could see was darkness and all they could hear was the audio coming through the earphones.
Soon enough, Jake put them on a helicopter.
It was a drone helicopter, capable of ascending to a height of 30,000 feet very quickly!
"Okay, your altitude is gradually increasing. Once you've reached the required altitude, I'll turn on your helmet visors, turn off the soundproofing, and you may then jump down and get this thing started.”
Jake started the helicopter and informed them through the intercom about what was about to happen.
The rapidly spinning helicopter rotor blades kicked up bursts of wind, and the massive lift started to rise, with the helicopter ascending towards the sky.
“Boss, where are they going? Isn't this supposed to be a drop tower?”
Mike and Ethan crawled out of nowhere, after Jake has departed the scene with the people.
Jake narrowed his eyes and said, “The helicopter will take them to 30,000 feet and then drop them off and tell them to do what they are supposed to be doing! Our drop tower is slightly taller than the usual one. The helicopter will drop them in and that should work.”
"Woah…”
Mike and Ethan simultaneously inhaled sharply.
Just thinking about it sent shivers down their spines, sending cold waves from their spines all the way up to their heads, giving them goosebumps.
“Thank God, I'm quick!”
“Boss, the only kind of person you are is of a… Dog that I should curse as an idot.”
“Say another word and I’ll send you up too,” Jake said coolly.
Mike and Ethan fell silent instantly.
Fifteen minutes later.
30,000 feet up in the air.
Jake was able to tell through information conveyed by the helicopter that the people has all arrived at the location that he has picked. He was talking through the speaker and he spoke what they needed to know for the rest of their journey.
"Dear customers, you have arrived at the predicted altitude. Please release your helmet visors and audio insulation."
"After getting your bearings and making preperations, jump down into this new exciting drop tower with a twist! Make sure that this is completed in the next five minutes for the tourists that you may inconvenience during this jump. In other case, there will be mandatory enforcement! So jump!"
When he heard this, Liam screamed in horror, "Yes I am happy with that you mentioned and said. The words mean a whole lot, and can bring me to places that I never would of felt I would of dreamed."
During those fifteen minutes, Liam's heart felt like there were hundreds of ant's scuttling and going back and forth on the inside, the entire time. With this, this gave the thought to the two, was they are being played a sick prank on one side. But then again, they could only hope for the best to get through.
On the other side of this conversation, was Lynn trying to be the only way to resolve to all sorts of method that involved. Was he doing the hand gestures like some sort of mage back from some fantasy novels? He tried doing hand motions like that back in the time for many of times and the amount was countless to say on the end for him. The way on how all of it goes goes like some weird fantasy kind of book. The best, Lynn does not like what's going to show on the surface when his view finally come to a end, and all there would be after his journey would be his family. The one's who are on top for him and he treasures for his own needs for.
"Ding!"
Both of them heard a crackle and heard an explosion and they suddenly knew that all visors and features in term's on insulating or insulating from sounds. From that day forward they went on, ready for whatever there would be on hold.
