Sayori and I both were danger and adventure obsessed freaks so, it was no surprise that we were really excited when we saw color.

  “Woah! It's so pretty.” Sayori exclaimed with excitement

  I was also very excited though I tried not to show it cause it felt a bit embarrassing but even still I couldn't completely hide it.

  “I thought color wasn't supposed to exist in this world, it should have been taken away by the witch.”

  As I said that out, we both faced each other and realized that the only explanation for this color is that it must be the witch's box.

  I could tell Sayori was a bit scared but I could tell she's still very much excited and honestly I was the same way.

  “Well then what should we do?”

  “What else is there to do? We just gotta find out what this device is and what that letter has written.” Sayori jumped around.

  “Welp you are right, if we need answers then it’s a step we must take.”

  Her being this excited made me feel much more relieved.

  I grabbed the letter from her hand preparing to open it. I could feel Sayori instinctively lean against me.

  I opened the letter and I saw that the letter wasn't written in the usual grey or black ink.

  It was written in a color that seemed trustable, cool and genuinely it made me more relaxed. I wanted more of it. I wanted to feel the color more. I brushed off the feeling for now and started reading the letter.

  To the ones tainted by this cursed blood of mine,

  Descender of mine of which I do not know the name of. I am sure you have felt it too. The desire to have everything for yourself. Descendants of mine, I am sure as the time passes on the greed will just grow stronger and stronger and you will become just like me.

  That line made me much more sure that it was the witch who wrote it.

  I read the letter slowly, trusting it more and more but without any warnings the letters on the letter suddenly changed with a color brighter. It was the type of color which would hurt your eyes if you stared for too long, it was a much more sinister color than before.

  I could feel Sayori trembling and tightly clutching on my sleeve as the color changed and I gathered up the courage and started reading it again.

  I will not lie but Sayori being this close to me made me feel a bit more happy for some reason. Kinda embarrassing now that I think about it but my brain suddenly realized about what's happening on the letter.

  So, I just started reading it again this time with more hesitancy.

  Sayori looked really afraid at that letter, it was as if the letter was screaming at us. Though still I wonder if something is wrong with this girl because, she said out,”Well then Pacific, lets take on the challenge shall we”

  I let out a small laugh,”This is my family matter, you sure you wanna join it?”

  “We are family as well basically, aren't we?”

  “And besides if we don't do anything about it that just means we both are getting hurt, especially you and I wouldn't want that you know.”

  Hearing that made me feel much more relieved. I knew that she loved dangerous things but could have never tell that she could be insane enough to challenge the witch.

  “You sure you are sane right now.” I jokingly asked.

  “Mhm, never been this sane in my whole life.” she replied.

  As for me, I knew that sooner or later I had to do this, I didn’t even need to hesitate to accept the challenge.

  We both knew that up until now our life has just been a filler chapter and that a new chapter filled with exciting adventure was just about to begin.

  All that is left now before we start this journey is to check what the device does and after that we will just have to see what life has in store for us.
