Chapter 22: Vision

I breathed in. The world narrowed to a single point: the vice-general standing firm, the last stepping stone between me and Alice.

I activated Moonwalk first — a silent, super-speed step that erased sound and trace. Even top fighters could not predict it, but for me it felt like walking. Then I pushed mana into my legs and lungs and called Dash, the raw speed that outran lightning. Alone they were deadly. Together they became Moon Dash.

Moon Dash moved me in a millisecond. The air screamed past. Time bent in the smallest sliver as I blurred across the ground. Mana poured from me in a river, but I did not worry — infinity in me kept flowing.

Masato swung his blade. I was already beside him. He tried to read my motion, but Moonwalk had erased the whisper of my feet; Dash had erased the time he needed to react. My sword — Darkness — struck like a shadow made solid. Steel met flesh, but it was not a long duel. The strike went through him, clean and absolute.

Angelica and Sayo’s fight had already ended. Their faces were set, watching. I finished what needed finishing. Masato fell, the final obstruction erased.

Moon Dash faded, leaving only quiet and the steady beat of my heart. The path to Alice opened.

My anger boiled. It had no end, no restraint. Even after I slayed him, the vice-general did not die. His eyes were bloodshot, veins glowing red as he swallowed the Red Killing Pills.

The cursed drug rebuilt his body again and again, granting endless regeneration. His strength surged, his mana swelled, and with each breath he looked less like a man and more like a beast.

He roared and counterattacked. Blades of air cut the ground, stone split beneath his feet, and his fists carried power that could shatter mountains.

But none of it touched me. I moved through the storm, dodging every single strike. His infinite strength and mana were nothing but illusions before me.

I lifted my hand. A flame, shimmering between blue and violet, floated in my palm. More of the same fire sparked into existence, swirling around Masato like serpents of judgment.

He tried to break free, but the blue-violet flames tightened, binding him in chains of searing light. His monstrous body thrashed in despair.

  I closed my hand.

The flames vanished. And with them, so too did the existence of Vice-General Masato — reduced to dust, scattered in silence.

Kael and the other assassins returned, their faces pale. I asked, my voice heavy with anger, “What is going on in the capital?”

They shivered under my gaze. Kael stammered, “There… there is an event going to start tomorrow.”

My eyes narrowed. “What is it?”

  “Cardinal Hero’s Worth,” he whispered.

I turned to Beta. “Where is that duke going?”

“Towards the capital… for that event,” she replied, trembling.

The tension spread like wildfire. Even Angelica and Sayo could not hide their fear.

I stretched my hand toward Rhea. “The Dark Stone I gave you. Now.”

She quickly placed it in my palm. Its surface pulsed with ominous power.

I looked at Claire and Beta, my tone absolute. “Go and prepare the soldiers all over the capital. Until full order, remain silent. Now go and prepare.”

Without hesitation, they teleported back to the base.

I turned to my companions. “Rest for a while. Soon we will set out.”

Then I walked beneath a tree and sat, closing my eyes. The air thickened around me as I focused inward.

  I whispered, “Mind Concentration.”

I sat beneath the tree, eyes closed, body glowing faintly as my concentration deepened. One of my stigmata, “Forgotten,” had been invoked. It demanded absolute focus.

To forge the most useless sword—useless to all but me—that could slay even the Demon Cult, I needed two magics within “Forgotten.”

  The first: “Discarded Arsenal.”

It would allow me to materialize a sword using the Dark Stone as its core.

  The second: “Lost Potential.”

It would awaken the hidden power sleeping inside the Dark Stone.

If I succeeded, the sword would not only slay the Demon Cult, but even gods themselves.

My mana surged. Symbols burned across my skin. The ground beneath me quivered. Slowly, fragments of black, silver, and deep violet materialized in the air, swirling around the Dark Stone. They condensed, forming into a slim blade as tall as a human. The Dark Stone fused into the core, pulsing like a living heart—but it remained dormant.

  I whispered, “Open… Lost Potential.”

A voice echoed in my mind:

“The Dark Stone of the 1st Demon Lord has awakened.”

  “The stigma opened!”

  “Synchronizing… ‘Slayer’…”

“The stigma ‘Slayer’ has been added as your Stigma Slot 2.”

My first stigma had already been engraved in me:

“Reigner over the Absolute and the one who destined to marry the Eternal Goddess.”

The first part felt glorious, but the second… oddly troublesome.

The newly forged sword gleamed with a dreadful yet majestic aura.

It bore its name: “Sword of Final Reigner.”

The sword glimmered in my hands, its aura pressing against the very air. Its title shone clearly: “Sword of Final Reigner.”

A holographic panel appeared in front of me:

  [Equipment Item]

  Name: Sword of Final Reigner

  Rank: ERROR

Description: The sword of great Reigner who will descend upon everyone and suppress as the Final Being.

  Effect:

  1. Active Skill: Slaying God and Demon Cult and every being within user’s eyes range. (Rank: ERROR)

  2. Passive Skill: Instant Death (Rank: ERROR)

I read it carefully, feeling the immense weight of its power.

  Then another notification popped up:

“Your senses are forcing you to transfer to the realm of ‘Fated One: The Last Peace.’”

  I whispered, “Finally…”

This realm was one of the most renowned in existence. Only the truly fortunate ever encountered it. Three people I wished to meet awaited me there. Most importantly, I would finally gain the most beautiful stigma I had longed for.

As the transport began, a sudden beep echoed in my mind:

“Your level has drastically changed. -∞ [Minus infinity] has changed to -2∞ [Minus 2 infinity].”

I blinked and muttered, “Huh? Is there anything beyond ∞?”

I slowly opened my eyes. Light poured in like a thousand suns, soft but blinding, making it hard to see anything clearly. My body felt heavy. I realized I was kneeling, my knees pressing against a floor that didn’t feel like stone or grass but something beyond mortal touch.

When my vision adjusted, I saw them—three women standing together, their forms wrapped in a radiant golden light. The woman in the center extended her hand to me, her presence gentle yet overwhelming. The two girls behind her smiled, as if they had been waiting for this moment.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

The blonde-haired girl stepped forward and helped me to my feet. Her touch was warm, steady.

“Welcome you to our Sanctuary,” she said softly, her voice echoing like a hymn.

The red-haired girl let out a small laugh, playful but carrying a hint of weight.

“Finally, we will meet ‘Fate’?” she asked, her eyes narrowing with curiosity.

The white-haired girl tilted her head, her voice quiet but certain.

“Yes. We have finally encountered you ‘last’, haven’t we?”

  I simply replied, “Yeah. Finally.”

This realm… even gods could not step here without permission. And yet, I had entered it.

Before me stood the three pieces of love belonging to the Eternal Goddess. Perhaps it was luck that brought me here—or maybe it was something else entirely. No… it wasn’t luck. They had taken an interest in me. But that interest wasn’t in my favor.

They wanted to ask questions. They wanted answers.

I drew in a slow breath, steadying my thoughts. I had to be ready—not just for myself, but for Alice’s safety as well. Whatever this conversation would bring, I needed a plan.

Inside, I cooled my anger and prepared my mind. Outwardly, I met their gaze calmly.

The true test had only just begun.

Let’s talk about their personal information I’m witnessing.

The first one is Solana Acthis, the first piece of Eternal Goddess love, the Radiant Sun, warm and commanding, the source of divine illermiontion. She is wearing a white flowing dress with a deep V-neckline.

Her face tone is fair, hair is blonde and has beautiful breasts which tightened for dress failing to stop the showing of milky nipples.

The dress has a golden, intricate collar design and a dark, possibly reder maroon. Underside to the skirt that is visible at the bottom. A blindfold covers her eyes. She also got wings.

The next one is Lunara Vestis, a graceful, mysterious girl and the 2nd piece of Eternal goddess Love. Her Calm demeanor suggests guiding moonlit presence. She is wearing a simple white dress with a scoop neck and a golden choker necklace.

Like the others has a black blindfold and wears large diamond shaped golden earrings. Her silk like white hair is styled to flow freely around her fair.

Her breast isn’t bigger than previous one but still stands too much. Her milky nipple’s doesn’t losing the fight. Her milky nipple’s were standing like others. She also has wings.

The final one and third piece of Eternal Goddess love, Ignara Serenth resmbling Ignis (fire) paired with surname to blend five with serenity a calm yet powerful figure. She is wearing a sleeveless white dress with a golden chest piece and a high collar.

She also wears large diamond-shaped golden earrings. Her red hair is braided on one side and she is wearing a black blindfold.

She also got pretty huge breast comparing to others. She also has beautiful nipple’s like others. She also got wings on her back like her other two sister.

The three gorgeous, attractive and sexy sisters were in front of me. They were blindfolded yet they had way too much beauty. After all, they were the love pieces of the Eternal Goddess. Now I thought I should talk about business.

I asked, “Almighty one, can we talk about the business?”

Solara took a sip of her cup and breathed out.

Lunara said, “We believe you know our question, don’t you?”

I laughed and said, “Hahaha, what are you talking about? I don’t have any idea. Ha… Ha…”

Ignara laughed a little and said, “My Lord, you are a cheeky one. I think we are too straight.” Her voice changed. She asked, “Who are you?”

The three sisters asked in unison, “Who are you really?”

I smiled at her then laughed a little. I replied, “I am who?”

I continued, “I am writer of my own death who unknowingly encountered his cherished world. I’m a struggler who went on a journey to collect the loves awaiting ahead. I’m the unworthy trying to prove his worth.”

I sighed. Then I stood up, looked at my back, I spreaded my hands and said, “I’m the conqueror of both heaven and hell.”

Title started creating with my every word. Notifications arrived one after another. Foolish notification. “The conqueror of both the Heaven and Hell” it says.

I continued, “I am the shadow searching that lost light. I am the only one who will defy the fate. I am the only being who will suppress every possibility. I am the lost child whom parents had left him once in the name of failing to meet their expectation.”

  “New titles created,” Notification alerted.

  “Defier of Fate”

  “Lost Child”

“Shadow in Search of Lost Light”

  “Suppressor of Every Possibility”

  “Waiter of Love”

  “Writer of Own Death”

I looked at those sisters. They were somehow stunned. Their movement was stopped and mouth was little open. But my word remain unfinished.

The youngest sister, Lunara, asked, “What is your purpose specifically?”

“Purpose?” I just whispered, “My purpose…”

  “Let’s think. I suppose… exactly nothing. But…” I again whispered.

“I want to fulfil my regrets… maybe those are my purpose. I want to recreate them, those or save them from their death which is certain. Rebuilding, saving, giving meaning to their life is one of my purposes,” I said.

Solara asked, “Doesn’t that mean you have to defy the law?”

“Who cares? By my death as sacrifice, if my cherished dream comes true, I will not hesitate to do so. They can smile and share tears and joy, each other in a world where I may not remain, looking at them afar is enough for me. My life has no meaning to me. I will reach the place where no one ever set foot. For saving someone’s life, I will play the role of villain, for destroying those who will endanger my precious one’s life, I will play the role of hero. I will become nasty and kind according to my precious one’s situations. I am nothing but everything is me. I am Shadow. I am also the Light. After all I’m… Creator,” I finished saying my words.

A notification beeped, “Some of the requirements met to unlock the final stigma. The stigma will soon unlock. Wait until fully blossoming.”

I looked at them. The triplet sisters. I asked, “Solara Aethis, Lanara Vegis and Ignara Serenth, wanna really see my end as the gods, devils and specially as Eternal Goddess requested? Wanna see my end?”

That time Solara, Lunara and Ignara’s faces were worth looking at. Their privacy was the most protected one in existence. No one in the universe could ever know the information sealed within them. They were protected by the Eternal Goddess herself. As the Eternal Goddess never showed herself to others beside these three sisters, they had the right to wonder about the question they had asked me.

They asked me, “How do you know that the Eternal Goddess will ask that one?”

I smiled and said, “You shouldn’t disclose information so easily. You should have asked like that — how I can be so sure. So that I could remain in confusion. But I know everything. Everyone’s deed is recorded in my Karma Book. I even know, behind me, the father of all gods — the absolute one — is scheming. He may try to disturb me in the future. But none of them matter. As for the Eternal Goddess, she is my lovely bethored. So even she cannot hide from me. The fact that she can remain hidden is because I let her. Otherwise, today she was with me.”

They were surprised and a little frightened.

I asked, “Cannot you assess me?”

  They said, “No.”

Solara added, “We can both feel holy and dark power from you. So we don’t understand what you are!”

I laughed, “Both holy and dark!”

I then created a portal. Its swirling glow filled the entire sanctuary with trembling light.

I said, “Let’s go. I will show you a future where I died for the first time.”

  We stepped into the portal.

This portal was unlike any ordinary one—it wasn’t just a pathway, but a bridge to the moments of destiny itself. It allowed us to step into a time of our desire, whether past or future. Yet, as always, there was a sentinel.

Standing before us was the Absolute Guard of Time. His presence was suffocating, a shadow that seemed older than creation itself. His body was wrapped in a cloak that shimmered with fragments of starlight and broken hours. In his hand, he wielded a massive death scythe, its blade forged from condensed time itself, glowing with a pale, cold light.

His voice echoed like a thousand clocks breaking at once.

“None shall trespass the forbidden flow.”

He moved to block our way.

I sighed, gripping my sword. “Even having these three with me isn’t enough for you to let us through? Looks like I’ll have to defeat you… right?”

I summoned my blade—Darkness. Its black aura hissed, clashing against the golden glow of the Time Guard’s scythe.

  The clash began.

He swung his scythe, and with each stroke, the air split into fragments of seconds, slicing the flow of time itself. My body was cut again and again—not by steel, but by years stolen from my existence. My vision blurred as I felt ages rushing past my bones. Yet, I endured.

I stepped forward with Moon Dash, my speed collapsing the moments between us. Our blades collided, sparks of violet flame and silver light scattering across the void. The ground—if it could be called ground—fractured into endless shards of clocks and sand, time itself shattering under the weight of our duel.

He unleashed a strike that could end eternity, his scythe screaming through infinity. I met it with Slayer’s flame, my sword igniting in blue-violet fire. The clash created a storm that burned timelines into ash.

At last, I thrust forward, my blade piercing through his chest. Darkness burned into his form, binding him. The Absolute Guard staggered, his scythe dissolving into dust. His hood fell back, revealing hollow eyes glowing with regret.

  He lowered his head.

“You have proven worthy… Go forth.”

With that, he faded, and the path cleared.

The portal rippled open once more, granting us passage.

We were free to step into the destined moment.

  We arrived at a battlefield.

  A great one.

Everywhere my eyes turned, there were only corpses—soldiers, knights, men, women, no distinction. The stench of dried blood and ash filled the air. The deeper we advanced, the more gruesome it became. The ground beneath our feet was nothing but broken armor, shattered swords, and lifeless bodies.

Solara, Lunara, and Ignara walked behind me. Even they—who had seen ages pass, who had lived under the gaze of the Eternal Goddess—were trembling. The youngest one, Lunara, couldn’t hold herself anymore. She fell to her knees, vomiting violently.

Even gods cannot see this much without breaking.

I stopped and asked gently, “Are you alright?”

She couldn’t speak, only reached out. I offered her a white handkerchief. She took it shakily, wiped her lips, and stood up again. We kept advancing.

Every step forward was a knife in my heart. Familiar faces among the dead. Warriors, companions, friends—people whose names I had once known, whose trust I had once held. Many of the weapons scattered on the field bore my own craftsmanship, inscriptions I had carved myself.

  My mistakes were everywhere.

  Promises broken.

  Lives lost.

We passed the corpses of royalty and allies alike. And then, at the center of it all, I saw it.

A man sat on the bloodied ground, lifeless, clutching the cold body of a woman to his chest. His arms wrapped tightly around her, refusing to let go.

  The sight froze my breath.

  That man… was me.

The woman in his arms… Angelica.

Tears slid down my cheeks. My legs felt weak. Seeing her body like that was worse than any wound.

I crouched, trying to check the status of my future self. But the system’s cold text flashed before my eyes:

? “This person is dead. He has used the forbidden spell ‘Reincarnation’ to reincarnate many souls. He also sealed his stigma. This person will awake after 500 years and defeat his—…”

  The text cut off.

I couldn’t move. I just stared at Angelica’s pale face in his arms. My heart screamed silently.

Behind me, the three sisters stood frozen. Their wings trembled. Ignara asked softly, “Who… who is he?”

I looked back at them with a smile while tears streamed down my face.

  “That is me over there.”

I reached out, grabbed the hair of my future self’s corpse, and lifted his head to see his face. Then, rage boiling over, I punched him. Again and again. A thousand strikes. Blood splattered across my face, mixing with my tears.

Solara quickly shut her sisters’ eyes with her hands and closed her own as well. None of them could bear to see me like this.

Finally, I let go. My future corpse slumped back into the mud.

I stood up, my fists still trembling.

“Now tell me,” I asked them, my voice breaking, “do you know any prophecy that can hold the meaning of my first death… Nothing, right?”

They were silent. No answer came. Only the moaning wind over the corpses of my past.

We returned to Fated One: The Last Peace. They said goodbye, still pale and frightened, and I to them.

Then, I returned to my original time and body.

  A notification flashed:

  ? “Third Stigma Awaken: Fate.”

I closed my eyes. My resolve hardened.

“I will now proceed according to my plan. I’m coming for you, Alice… so please wait, Alice.”
