The marble table felt like an island of cold order in an ocean of mounting hysteria. Thousands of soldiers held their breath, their spear-tips trembling, while the King of Terraris looked as if he were about to age another fifty years in fifty seconds.
Kaito Tanaka, now existing as the eleven-year-old Shinra Ren, felt the familiar thrill of the "Close." In Tokyo, it was about leveraged buyouts; here, it was about leveraged deities. But the principle remained: whoever controls the narrative, controls the room.
Beside him, Lucifer—the First Seat of Pride—loomed in her "Seraphic" form. Her golden wings were so bright they seemed to burn the retinas of any commoner who dared look directly at them.
“Your ten seconds are up, Alaric,” Ren said, his voice carrying that unnerving, adult weight that had become his trademark. “Decisions made in fear are rarely optimal, but in your case, they are the only ones left.”
“Ren, please,” the King stammered, his eyes darting to Lucifer. “You are a child of the Church. A Saint. How can you ask for sovereignty? How can you stand beside… that?”
Ren opened his mouth to reply, but the System blared a warning that felt like a hot iron behind his eyes.

The air behind Ren didn't just ripple; it tore.
“You’re right, Majesty,” a new voice rang out. It was a voice of pure, crystalline virtue—one that lacked the Negotiator’s cold edge. “He isn't what he seems.”
From a pillar of shimmering white light, a second figure stepped out. The crowd gasped, a collective sound of pure bewilderment.
It was Ren.
The same ruby-red hair, the same porcelain skin, and the same eleven-year-old frame. But where the Ren sitting at the table wore robes of pragmatic grey and radiated an aura of terrifying command, this new Ren wore vestments of blinding white and silver. He looked like an icon come to life.
“He is a pretender,” the New Ren declared, his eyes glowing with a soft, oceanic blue. “I am the true Shinra Ren, the vessel of the Archangels. My shadow, the one who sits before you, has been corrupted by the very entity he claims to lead.”
The "Villain" Ren sat back, a small, dark smile playing on his lips. This was perfect. The [Idle Mirror] skill of the Demon Lord of Sloth had evolved. He wasn't just a clone; he was a manifestation of the "Saint" persona, powered by the Archangels themselves.
“A Demon Lord as a Guardian?” the Saint Ren continued, pointing a condemning finger at Lucifer. “Blasphemy. I shall show you what a true Guardian looks like. Open the Second Gate: The Archangel of Charity, Jophiel!”
A secondary rift opened above the Saint Ren. A figure of terrifying beauty, clad in armor made of solid light and wielding a staff that pulsed with the heartbeat of the world, descended.
“The light does not negotiate with the dark,” the entity Jophiel whispered, her voice a soothing melody that healed the minor mana-burns of the soldiers in the front rows.
The Arena erupted in cheers. "The true Saint! The Savior has appeared!"

Ren (the one at the table) watched his "other self" with a sense of professional pride. By creating an antagonist—himself—he had just secured his "Saint" persona's reputation forever. No one would ever suspect the Holy Saint of Oakhaven of being the Underworld King 'Zero' if the Saint were publicly seen "fighting" him.
“Well played, other me,” the Villain Ren said, his voice now dripping with the Abyssal rasp of a Demon Lord. “But the King has a choice. Do you choose the Saint who offers you prayers? Or the Monster who offers you a border that will never be crossed?”
Lucifer let out a low, melodic laugh that sent shivers down the Elven Princess’s spine. “Choose carefully, little King. My Master is much more reasonable when he’s winning.”

The voice of Greed, the Third Seat, Mammon, finally broke through the static in Ren's mind. “Director, you’ve split the stock! Brilliant! Now, sell both sides of the war to the highest bidder. The Elves want the Seed? Sell them the 'Saint’s' blessing. The King wants safety? Sell him the 'Villain’s' fear.”
Ren (the Villain) stood up, his dark aura flaring to match the Saint’s light. The two eleven-year-olds stood on opposite sides of the marble table, a literal representation of the war for the world’s soul.
“Princess Elara,” the Villain Ren said, looking at the Elven royal. “Your forests are dying. The Saint can offer you a 'miracle' that might fail. I offer you a contract signed in blood and mana that cannot fail. My shadow-enforcers, the XIV Resonance, will move the Seed to the Northern Territories—my new Duchy. You will have access to it, provided your Kingdom becomes my primary trade partner and military ally.”
He then turned to Saint Ren. “And what do you offer, 'Holy One'?”
The Saint Ren smiled, a look of pure, selfless compassion. “I offer the King the protection of the Heavens. I will stay here, in the Capital, as the Royal Advisor. I will build an Academy where the light of the Archangels shall teach the children of this land to be more than just peasants in the mud.”
King Alaric looked from the terrifying child-villain to the beautiful child-saint. He was trapped. If he rejected the Villain, Lucifer would burn his city. If he rejected the Saint, he would lose the favor of the Church and his people.
“I… I accept,” Alaric whispered, his head bowing. “The Northern Territories are yours, Duke Ren. And the Saintly Ren shall be my Grand Vizier.”

A surge of dual-mana—black and white—erupted from both Rens. The light and dark swirled together, creating a vortex that obscured the entire table.
When the light faded, the "Villain" Ren had vanished into the shadows, leaving behind only a lingering scent of sulfur and expensive silk. The "Saint" Ren remained, standing tall, his hand resting on the King’s shoulder in a gesture of paternal comfort.
Deep beneath the arena, in the spatial rift of the XIV Resonance, the "Villain" Ren materialized on his obsidian throne. He felt his body stretching. The mana of Tier 3 forces his physical form to mature. He was no longer the scrawny child of the farming village. He was a pre-teen of twelve, his muscles lean and dense, his presence that of a seasoned CEO.
“Vahn,” Ren called out into the darkness of his underground manor.
“Master,” the Elven assassin stepped out of the shadows, kneeling. He looked shaken. Even he hadn't expected the Saint to summon an actual Archangel.
“The Saint will handle the King’s politics. He will be the public face of hope,” Ren said, running a hand through his ruby-red hair, which now seemed to glow with a deeper, more predatory luster. “But we, the XIV Resonance, now own the North. I want the mines opened. I want the black markets consolidated. And I want the Elven Princess brought to my Northern manor within the week. We have a 'merger' to finalize.”
“And what of the other Seats, Master?” Lucifer asked, reappearing in her demonic form, leaning against the throne. “Mammon is itching to get his hands on the Royal Treasury.”
Ren closed his eyes, the blue and red lights flickering behind his eyelids.
“One deal at a time, Lucifer. We’ve secured the Capital and the Elves. Next, we look to the Holy Empire. They think they represent the Heavens?”
He let out a cold, sharp laugh.
“Let’s show them who really holds the keys.”
