And a very good morning to you, my dear reader.
I do suppose that your morning remains good as always?
... (Yeah... sure...)
Yes, yes...
Very good then.
Why, my mornings are...
... (Utterly splendid?)
Why, indeed.
'Tis good that you understand that all now.
... (Huh?)
Hmmm?
... (Is this some kinda harsh joke?)
Oh, why, dear reader...
I would never.
... (Uh huh...)
Why, the very idea...
It does even so fail to come to my person.
Dare I say, it should be a full impossibility.
... (Alright then.)
Is something the matter?
... (No, no... let's just keep going...)
Very good then.
Indeed.
Now where were we...
Ah, yes...
We were just at that point where the young lad found himself looking for yet another form of prey for his payer.
Why, the very young lad did look about once more...
Sniffing the air yet again.
Indeed.
The scent of an Armahyde in the air...
But still...
No, no...
A battle with that thing would take quite some time, did the young lad imagine.
Indeed.
All the same, did he continue his walk...
Dragging the very dead beast...
Leaving a trail of blood wheresoever he found himself walking past.
And of it, did he mind it very little, I would say.
A product of the young lad's upbringing and youth I would argue.
... (Huh?)
Do consider this, my dear reader...
What sort of hunter...
Would be foolish enough to leave a blood trail in the forest...
One full of things that do indeed go "bump in the night"?
... (Huh... good point.)
Yes, indeed.
A strange set of circumstances would follow should one be so careless...
And even so, foolish...
For...
What a mere normal man would expect is a single attack all at the very same time.
And yet, very many predators in the woods do find themselves more than clever enough to simply and ever so cautiously continue their hunts...
Yes...
And all the same, I would say...
Would such and such a beast simply stalk the young lad...
Watching...
And even so, waiting...
All the very while from a most incredible distance.
And of that distance...
Shortening it.
'Tis as a beast slowly pursuing one that is wounded and winded.
A very good way to ensure that such and such a beast is not merely hunted, but also, in the event that it should have yet a kick to it...
That it also remain surprised when and so the very blow that ends the battle does find itself necessary to make.
Indeed.
Of all that I say...
Is it so.
... (Ok? So... what does this have to do with Jake?)
Oh, yes, a most pertinent question, I should say.
The simple reason for that is that the very young lad has become and is a most capable monster hunter.
Why...
A very many man would be most terrified and even so tremble at the idea of fighting such terrible odds, I'd say.
Why, to merely carry a carcass through the woods...
'Tis almost as foolish as carrying goods, dropping shiny gold coins through the very same.
All the same, I say...
Is the young lad a most capable warrior...
Why, 'tis as a proud beast such as the very...
Hmmm...
Ah, yes as the very Armahyde, yes...
Hmmm...
Well, perhaps not the very best example...
However, as I shall say...
The very beast is indeed proud in the fact that it fears none...
Even so, allowing itself to sleep in the eyes of other monsters...
For, truly, I say unto you, my dear reader, truly...
Such a beast does indeed fail to fear for an attack from something much weaker.
Yes...
'Tis as the very young lad, I would say.
He fails to fear for the beasts of the earth...
For...
Indeed...
What creature would possibly threaten him?
Yes...
A most vivid imagination would even so fail to state such a thing.
Why, even if the very Armahyde itself came after him...
Yes...
He knew he would manage.
Indeed.
And of the very same, I say...
Did the young lad continue his walk across the fields...
All the while before...
Well, you do know, my dear reader...
'Tis as they say.
One shall sow seeds...
And one shall indeed find a harvest.
And thereof, I say, my dear reader...
Indeed.
The very blood trail did indeed attract a predator of sorts.
Yes...
Why, do also fail to assume that the young lad had failed to take note.
Even and so, do fail to assume...
That the young lad managed to take any sort of defensive posture...
Or even so, bothered to look behind him...
No, no...
Such a thing remained totally unnecessary.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Indeed.
The very young lad could simply continue his walk...
Why, doing anything more, I say...
An utter waste of energy.
All the same did his pursuer continue its mad dash towards him...
All the same, ever so calmly, I should say...
Only making sure to maintain a certain distance from the very lad.
Indeed.
Why it does remind me of a story about the pride of the very beast known by the name Iceman's Buffalo.
I do believe I have regaled this tale before.
... (No. You haven't.)
Really?
Hmmm...
A pity...
All the very same, do I say...
That it is a most riveting tale, I tell you.
Why, the very thing does speak much of the Knights' very pride for the beast.
Yes...
Why, would you like for me to tell it to you?
... (Sure... I guess...)
Very good then.
Ahem...
Hmmm...
No, not quite at this moment.
... (Huh?)
Allow me to first of all tell you of this...
That the very beast now hunting the lad...
Was getting ever so closer...
Yes.
And even so, was it the very same of the legend...
The Legend Of the Iceman's Buffalo.
... (Ok...)
Yes...
A most interesting tale, I should say.
Why, it is a tale spoken of by many a Knight...
Of honour, valour, and even so, of pride.
Indeed.
... (Ok...)
Yes...
All the same, do I now...
Begin.
Ahem...
Once upon a time...
Time, time, time...
There was a young heifer amongst the Iceman's buffalo...
A young one with oddly more beauteous brown fur...
The very sort softer and of a lighter brown than the others...
And even so, did this very young beast find itself to be of the curious sort...
Yes...
Why, the very beast did find itself walking away from the herd...
A most common folly, I should say...
Out of sheer curiosity of the fact that the very beasts were always warned by the elders...
To never venture out into the lower parts of the mountains, for...
Should you know full well, my dear reader...
Every Iceman's Buffalo is well-suited to living at the very top of the mountains.
A place where ever so many creatures simply fail to survive.
Yes...
A horrible place, I would say.
All the same, I would argue...
Was the very heifer fully curious...
I suppose had it the words...
Would it have said these very things...
"Why, I do wonder what it is like on the slopes of the mountains?"
Yes...
A most curious idea, I would say.
However and even so, why...
Did the young heifer foolishly leave the care of her fellow buffalo...
And venture into the lower parts of the mountain.
Yes.
And oh, what an experience it was for her.
Yes...
She did indeed see many a thing.
Be it the thinner snow...
The strange animals she did take note of...
And even still, was there more grass to feed on.
Yes...
Why, I suppose she would have said...
"Why, I do wonder as to why it is that we are not allowed to go here?"
And thereof, I say...
Was it not very long...
Before she suddenly found herself walking in an area with nothing in it.
Indeed.
Not a sound.
Had the heifer known, perhaps she would have taken caution...
For one should know that in the very darkness of the night...
That should a sound be missed...
Is it very much so that something is truly amiss.
Indeed.
... (Huh...)
Yes...
After all, for what reason would a beast remain quiet...
But for...
Oh, I do believe you know where this is going.
All the same, did a pack of wild wolves find her.
Dire wolves, I should say.
... (Dire wolves...)
Yes...
The very sort, I should tell you.
All the same, did they come up...
Seemingly from nowhere...
Indeed.
From the corners...
From dark passages...
From hidden ways...
From behind boulders...
Indeed.
Large beasts, almost as though dogs, and yet...
... (Like wolves...)
Indeed.
They all soon thereafter...
Surrounded the very beast.
Mouths open and snarling, I should say...
Pacing about her...
And as for her, why...
Fail to assume that she was so foolish as to fail to know...
The very meaning of what it means to want to eat something.
Indeed.
The very heifer was stranded on the spot...
Filled with fear...
Looking side to side...
Suddenly filled with many a regret...
As well as a sudden understanding...
I suppose that if the ability to speak fell to her there and there, why...
She would say...
"I... I understand now as to why all the elders told me to never venture outside the herd."
Yes...
The poor lass did learn her lesson...
However, a bit far too harshly, some may say.
However, do I tell you, my dear reader...
There are some mistakes...
That deserve such a harsh lesson.
Indeed.
... (Huh...)
Yes.
All the same, did...
... (Wait... wait... did the male Iceman's Buffalo come to the rescue?)
Why...
Indeed.
How did you know?
... (Lucky guess...)
Why, have I told you this story before?
... (Nope.)
Then, how did...
Oh, very well...
Would you like me to continue with the tale?
... (Sure. Why not?)
Very good then.
And thereof, I say...
Before the wolves could even manage a single strike...
Did the male Iceman's Buffalo...
Send a roar into the air...
Charging with relentless abandon...
Straight after all the wolves.
The very beasts which thereafter, turned their attention to the larger male...
Still snarling as though yet aggressed.
Lowly bowing their heads, I should say.
All the same, did the very young heifer look in shock as well...
Only to hear what would likely translate to...
"What are you doing here? Return to the herd now!"
Indeed.
And thereof, I do say, my dear reader...
Did the very beast charge to the wolves...
While the lass apologetically ran away...
Perhaps pleased that its life had been spared...
Hmmm...
Time is up, I should say.
... (Huh? Already?)
Hmmm...
Yes...
Why, do say, my dear reader...
Would you rather I finished the tale now or later?
... (Hmmmm... Now, I guess...)
Very good then.
Indeed.
I shall try to be a bit briefer than planned...
Seeing as we are already against the clock.
Yes...
Even so, did the male charge into the fray...
Bashing the one wolf before it...
Twisting its neck that the other beside it would be sent flying away to a glorious distance.
However, fail to assume that the dire wolves had simply quit and ran.
Nay, they themselves also gave chase.
And thereafter, gave fight.
The very beasts lunged at its horns...
That three wolves together were holding onto it, even and so, as it bothered itself to try to swing them away...
Yet another a bite at its hindquarters...
And even so, yet a few more at its sides...
Yes...
The very beasts had it fully surrounded in a matter of moments, I should say...
Why, the very Iceman's buffalo had managed to kick a few back here and there...
However and even so, even the very male would struggle against so many.
Do forgive me, my dear reader, however, I have indeed shortened the tale a bit.
Why, there is much more to be said of the male's aggression towards them all.
Indeed.
Every once in a while, would it manage a kick here and a kick there...
Even so, one of your very "headbutts"
Yes...
Those did it manage...
All the same, as the wolves soon had it fully surrounded...
Yes...
Some on its back, and all the same...
Some even under its belly...
Indeed.
The very bull of the herd was in many a way subdued...
And even still, at the failure of an act, would it be very well dead.
Yes...
Now, do say, my dear reader...
How do you think this story shall end?
... (Hmmm... Hmmm... I think he'll make it.)
Indeed.
For the very beast in the very last of its strength, did indeed do a mighty thing.
Yes...
The very Iceman's Buffalo...
Looking down...
Seeing escape by mere force hopeless...
Decided to do what many would see as utter foolishness.
Yes...
The very beast...
Truly painfully...
Began to walk its way towards the edge of the mountain.
... (What!?)
Yes, the very beast did indeed plan on jumping off the very cliff edge I would say.
A most interesting creature, I should say...
Hmmm...
No, perhaps a merely interesting legend.
Yes...
For...
The very beast did, bleedingly, ...
Even and so, as the very wolves, seeing the danger, began to pull it back with their bites...
Walk towards the edge...
The very idea...
To roll to the ground...
Falling down...
And thereof, forcing the wolves to let go of it.
Indeed.
And of that, I say, did the bull succeed.
Why, did some wolves have the mind to let go...
However and even so, did enough fall with it that so many did manage to break their bones protecting the bull as it rolled down the slope.
Indeed.
A most interesting tale.
And of the very same, did the many wolves on it die...
While it alone survived...
Going back up the mountain...
And thereafter having its wounds licked by the females.
Yes.
So, do tell me, my dear reader...
How was the tale?
... (I liked the part where the male jumped off the mountain.)
Yes...
Most do, I should say.
Why, even so...
Is that very part of the story the very thing that Knights look to when they admire this creature.
Indeed.
That very part of the tale is always the main focus of the Knights.
Do keep that all in mind, I should say...
Might.
All the same, a good day to you, my dear reader...
'Tis never too good to stay in one place...
Even and so, as I fail to speak of just standing or sitting, I say.
A good day!
