C12 A Past of Hidden Features, TOF PT 4

A few seconds went by with nothing but pure silence.

The tension between the two fighters rising by the moment, the crowd dared not to make a noise, eager to see these two going all out.

Takemin looked at the ground while his eyes slightly closed, focusing all five senses on his opponent and nothing else, he murmurs something under his breath.

  "Special move, Agraut."

The crowd froze in that single moment, they could feel an unstable and powerful aura in the area, Brodie was completely unfazed continuing to grin.

His smile slowly vanished while he shook his head,

"I guess it's time to finish this then."

Brodie began running straight at Takemin, raising his knife and getting ready to attack.

As he got in range and swung, it was as if time slowed down completely.

"You are one cocky assassin, you know how long I've been waiting to get revenge?"

Brodie looked at Takemin's eyes pierced straight in his soul, a look of pure rage, aggression and determination.

Brodie began shaking fearfully while having a worried expression as Takemin suddenly vanished, time reverted back to normal in the process.

Brodie quickly looked around to try and look for Takemin, his breathing increasingly getting heavier.

Before he knew it, a sharp force pierced the back of his chest, forcing him to cough up blood and fly into the wall again.

The Mage was quietly but closely observing the fight while talking to Sarah and Jacob,

"Wow, I'm really gonna need to replace that wall, aren't I?"

Brodie opened his eyes, only seeing the concrete on the wall with the rest of his body pinned against it.

He looked down to see the end of Takemin's spear impaled right through his chest.

While having the spear pinning Brodie on the wall and coughing up heaps of blood, Brodie reached his hand over, grabbed the spear and attempted to pull it out of his back.

As he did he felt the cold, hard force of Takemin's shield forcibly pushing his fingers into the spears blade cutting his fingers off while he cried in pain.

Takemin, felt no emotion, no hesitation, no fear, just pure rage. His special move allowed him to amplify his bloodlust and adrenaline rush.

He grabbed the spear and yanked Brodie off of it flying him across the battlefield. In return, Brodie laid there, nothing he could do from that point on.

Takemin looking like a madman, running toward Brodie.

He attempted to impale Brodie again but an invisible force stopped him,

"That's enough Hero, this rounds winner ladies and gentlemen, Hero of Warriors!"

However, Takemin didn't let up, knowing it was close to impossible to shatter, he relentlessly kept attacking it.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

His face was one of pure anger, he began drooling like a dog consumed by hatred, stopping at nothing.

"I'm finishing the job they should've done many years ago, killing you and making a big bloody mess of it!"

Takemin's yelling was all that could be heard in the colosseum.

Eventually Claire and Jacob went out to try and pull him away, almost getting themselves killed in the process.

The Mage had to step in after that, grabbed Brodie's body and escorted him out of the battlefield, only then did Takemin's senses fully come back to him.

Takemin stood there, facing the ground, like a lone man suffering from a cruel past.

Claire slowly approached him and touched him on the shoulder snapping him out of it.

"I'm sorry, I lost myself in the moment,"

Claire put her arm around his shoulders much to her disgust and helped walk him to the battlefield's exit.

Upon exiting the battlefield, Claire broke the silence between them,

"What was all that about, that's the most scary I've seen you ever,"

He raised his head looking at the sky and let out a long, exhausting sigh,

"Well Swords, long story short, that man killed my father many years ago. He wasn't punished for it at all though because he was a Momal."

Claire sat him down replying to him,

  "Wait, what do you mean?"

Before Takemin could answer, the Mage could be heard announcing the second final round of phase two of the tournament.

"I'd love to talk, Swords, but let's save that story for another time, eh, lets go back into the grandstand."

Jacob left to sit with the Mage on the podium with Claire and Takemin slowly following behind him back to their seats.

Upon sitting down, Claire had been thinking to herself, 'The man Takemin has spent the last seven years swearing revenge on was that assassin'.

Her thoughts got interrupted by a sound similar to that of an explosion,

"Holy shit Swords did you see that!"

Claire looked at the battlefield, a male fighter was pinned against the wall with an arrow in his shoulder surrounded by a crater in the wall.

Looking at the fighter's opponent, she stood up in disbelief,

  "Wait, isn't that.."

Before she could finish Takemin interrupted her,

  "I know her, she's.."

Before Takemin could finish the Mage let out another announcement,

"Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to our special and secret participant, Hero of Archers!"

  "Elizabeth?"

  Claire was flabbergasted.

Elizabeth looked around at the crowd, not worrying too much on her opponent who had pulled the arrow out of his shoulder, grabbed his sword and began rushing toward her.

She showed a horrifying side-eye, put her arm over her shoulder, grabbed an arrow and completely parried the fighters attack with it.

He continued attacking her several more times, all being blocked by the singular arrow she was holding.

She then swung her arm to her side and proceeded to attack the fighter using the tip of the arrow.

The fighter tried to parry it but a sudden explosion occurred from the arrow forcing the fighter ragdolling straight back into the wall he just came from.

Before he was able to get up, the same arrow he pulled out of his shoulder before, sitting right by him, exploded making him go flying once again.

He was able to get good footing and stop himself from being sent too far back, grabbed his sword but before he could do anything, Elizabeth held an arrow at his head from behind,

  "Fight, over."

As the smoke from the explosion slowly disappeared, the crowd stood up and began cheering, before long, the Mage announced it,

"Congratulations Hero of Archers, you move onto the final phase!"

Soon after, she left the battlefield while the Mage announced the final fight of phase two.

The final fight began and while Claire and Takemin were vividly watching the final fight, they heard a familiar voice,

"Fancy seeing you here, Claire and Takemin."

Claire stood up and began hugging Elizabeth,

"How long's it been, two, three years?"

Claire and Elizabeth had been very close since childhood representing some of the only light Claire had in her life.

After greeting each other Elizabeth turned to Takemin,

  "Takemin."

  "Arrows."

Elizabeth eventually sat with them watching the final fight.

While it wasn't exactly a Hero level fight it was still pretty interesting to watch.

In the end, a random male tank made it through to the final phase.

Thus the announcement the crowd has been eagerly awaiting for, the final phase.

"With that, phase two has come to a close. For those of you who have stayed till the end, it's only fair you get compensation. Phase three will be a bit more of a challenge, a step up from the previous two phases.

In this phase, contestants will have 10 minutes to show a visible injury upon their opponent, if that time limit has been reached or they have been subdued, they are out.

The contestant that is able to leave a visible injury first will be the winner of the tournament of fighters!

If none of them are able to show any visible injuries on their opponent, they all lose.

With all that, your opponent for the third and final phase, will be me, the Legendary Mage!"
