Chapter 4: Scoping the Cafeteria

Chronos didn’t want to do anything at the moment to Davie, he wanted to get a wider scope of the cafeteria first – always scope out the area before mapping out a plan of attack. Chronos studied Carmal’s injury that he had received by falling, he could walk without being helped by anyone in the group as he sat down.

“Mmm, maybe he might be the key to getting Davie” thought Chronos.

As for Gloria, she was going to give another demonstration to Havana and Thad, hoping that one of them would take Davie home. It was going to be a simple task of sweeping the table, Gloria headed over towards the main cafeteria counter and was allowed to take some salt.

“Let’s have another demonstration of Davie cleaning up for us” said Gloria.

Matthew could get some strange feeling that somebody was watching them from a distance. The local janitor was just a few paces away, for some reason Matthew suspected the janitor was the one who managed to send the bubbles into the classroom earlier.

“Great, he’s seen me” thought Chronos as he notices Matthew glaring over to his end.

Chronos knew it was best if he headed into the kitchen to cause some sort of diversion, as he began to sweep his way into the kitchen the robotic chefs didn’t mind his presence since that’s what janitors were allowed to do.

“Ah yes, out of sight from the other adult in the group” thought Chronos.

Chronos glared around the kitchen, he could see a number of robotic chefs were hard at work making various meals for everyone lining up. Tyler was already waiting in line, Chronos thought of a clever idea.

“Mmm, I wonder if what would happen if I tinkered with one of these robotic chefs” thought Chronos.

Chronos took out a wrench and began to open up the robotic chef who was unaware he was being messed around with. Chronos knew he had to be quick as Tyler was coming up waiting for his order.

“Ah yes, this should do the trick” laughed Chronos.

Chronos closes the hatch of the robotic chef, then scattered away pretending to do some janitorial chores. He ends up waiting as the robotic chef tries to understand Tyler’s order – a typical breakfast burrito which was very simple to make.

“What, what is this?” thought the robotic chef.

The robotic chef ended up taking various ingredients that didn’t go together with the breakfast burrito. It took the robotic chef sometime to make the meal which was unusual for this brand. When the breakfast burrito was ready, the robotic chef placed it on a plate and then took the tray over towards where Tyler was waiting.

“Wait a second, this doesn’t look like the typical breakfast burrito, did you change the recipe?” asked Ty.

Tyler wasn’t always a difficult customer, but even he knew not to eat it. Another robotic chef came along to see what was the trouble, that’s when the fun really began. The robotic chef who had cooked the meal instantly became jealousy and began to attack the other robotic chef. Chronos was hoping that it would cause an old fashion food fight that would give him the right moment to run and grab Davie.
