It only took Masa Ed who found the writer as annoying as the piece of paper that caught fire, less than a minute to throw his tantrum as he usually do. He is a temperamental man that use swear words at random without filter and pray he doesn't hit you with a punch or kick when he is angry, just like he stopped doing to the air now before he regained his rationality.
'Can this really be true'
At this point, Masa Ed who has almost forgotten his crazy situation asked himself, then he walked towards the table where the lantern is and sat on the chair in front of it to think about everything from the beginning rationally, most importantly the weird instructions like something from a horror movie written on the piece of paper that mysteriously caught fire.
'The first thing that happened was I saw and heard something strange before I passed out, those two are very important. But now, how I go from my property to here is the next thing, but I have no idea were this is, and if I have truly been kidnapped, my captors should have come to check on me by now, nah, they don't even have to make things like this unless they planned a twisted game for me to play, or maybe I am in a mental institution, I have become crazy from reading that crazy book.'
Masa Ed paused to take a look at the lantern on the table. This lantern is a typical one. Its like those common to this world in both form and appearance—a vintage lantern that looks exactly like a kerosine lamp, but the only difference is the one in this world that Masa Ed knows uses electricity and the adjustment knob on it that is exactly like that of a kerosene lamp is not only there to control its brightness but to also turn it on for use.
Moving on.. Masa Ed after taking a look at this lantern with a white frame and handle return to thinking about his unusual predicament. He leaned back on the chair and raised his head towards the white ceiling that is inlaid with gold in a greek key pattern.
'If supernatural events are real and I am at the center of one right now, the only way for me to know is fumble what that nameless idiot wrote and see if strange things really happen, but do I dare? And can I really survive it?'
Masa Ed arrived at this conclusion because he automatically assumed even if he follow the instructions of this nameless idiot to the tee, and let's say he get that notebook that will help him leave this place from Sebas room, nothing in that sequence of action can prove the supernatural the nameless idiot is implying, after all, there are cameras in this world too, and they are sophisticated enough to be hidden even though the smallest is the size of a ping-pong ball.
So he basically assumed every action of his is being monitored and only when he follows the instruction of the nameless idiot correctly is when someone watching in the shadows will respond by pulling some sophisticated lever that will make some things happen, hence fooling him into thinking its the supernatural like the nameless idiot must have thought, if he really exists.
However, does Masa Ed really have an alternative than to follow the instructions or does he have the gut to wait and see if strange things will really happen if he do otherwise.

"No, no. I can't risk it." Shaking his head, Masa Ed muttered and stood up in one motion from the wooden chair.
"First thing first. The instruction said, wait... I am crazy right?"
Masa Ed paused in shock before he starts to touch his baby skin and feel his rejuvenated body. He just remembered or realized his body that underwent a bizarre transformation isn't just a reflection but a real thing. And what a way to confirm the existence of the supernatural he has been denying or he doesn't want to face.
"Hehehehehehehehe..."
Like a broken car engine, Masa Ed starts to grin like an idiot, but not out of anything positive or amusing, but out of the fear that overwhelms his mind and a bone chilling sensation he felt on his spine that totally paralyzed him, rooting him to the floor of the room he just realized is very cold. Well, he is barefooted after all and only wearing a black jogger pants.
"Ah!" Masa Ed exclaimed, exhaling deeply. Out of sheer willpower he was able to regain his rationality. And not thinking too much, he slowly and quietly made his way to the front of the grandfather clock.
'Its fifteen past twelve. Why is the time so fast?'
After checking the time, Masa Ed did not dilly- dally; he went to retrieve the lantern, and with his hand positioned on its knob, he went and stood in front of the sealed door, and he first look carefully at his new face it reflected, getting ready to stare at his eyes for the sake of survival or maybe to primarily avoid the unnecessary pain that accompanies the failure to survive.
"Now, let's do this." He sighed, motivating, himself, therefore calming his nerve.
After Masa Ed blinked severally in preparation, he slowly opened his dark-brown eyes that squarely meet that of his reflection on the door. And don't forget, he must stare at it and not blink for three minute. However the question is how many regular humans can do this, and if he is one of them, he shall fund out.
So time passed.
'Its twenty seconds already.'
Knowing fully well the time elapsed since he began his staring ordeal is way more than twenty seconds, Masa Ed shifted gears in his mind because he also knows the instructions from the nameless idiot emphasized one should never blink at a time after twenty seconds of staring till the door give way if one doesn't want any regret.
Meaning, Masa Ed is now certain the supernatural might be at play in what's going on and happening to him.
So, he dare not relax nor falter. And with diligence and extreme focus, not even caring about the time elapsed no more—since when its time to stop is when the door will respond—Masa Ed continue to stare at the eyes of his reflection on the door glass panel, unblinking and with peerless determination, even if his already strained and irritated eyes were to damage in the process.
'If what that nameless idiot said is true... this should be the most difficult part if that Sebas person questions are not difficult. So I must hold on..' Masa Ed gritted his teeth, renewing his determination. And like this, about a minute passed, making about two minutes since his staring for survival started.
However from the look of things, his veiny and bulging eyeballs that have turn yellow and red might burst anytime soon. And not only that, his hand holding the lantern and the one on its knob for a reason, felt heavier than normal that he felt like he is holding a large stone that might fall from his hand anytime, that even the veins of his rejuvenated muscular lean hands are bulging like they will burst.
And with all of this, having to focus on two herculean demands simultaneously—one, stopping his eyelids from falling and two, making sure the lantern does not fall and get damaged—Masa Ed muster all his willpower to hold on. And to him, every second of it felt like an eternity that he wished and prayed for divine intervention which is a move that is the last in his arsenal, implying he is on the verge of blinking and therefore failing.
However in the next instant, he became shocked as the lantern fell from his hand.
"Fuck!"
