The city of LA is still bustling as the military escort drops Joy and Goji at HQ . The travel home by pne wasn't very comfortable, and when they nded, they gave the bag of research, papers, and USB to a military guy and were sent out in this car...

  - They will want a report when we enter, no? *Goji asks, her head is tired, and she really doesn't see any appeal in an interrogation.*

  - It's procedure ; don't be childish now . Let's enter before it gets darker.

  With a final sigh, Goji enters, following Joy's lead . The HQ, as always, is bustling with sound ; people move around with documents and reports, even te at night . To get it done quickly, the duo directly moves to Commander Reese's office, where he is sitting, reviewing reports with practiced ease. Joy salutes, which Goji has no interest in copying ...

  - At ease, Hunter Joy . I suppose you are here to report about the mission. *The commander speaks, and after a moment, he finally gazes towards the duo.*

  - Yes, sir . The mission has been completed, and the evacuation of the research and personnel has been made . The convoy that was supposed to arrive didn't make it, and one of the squads sent to look for survivors in the city was ambushed. With the advice of Hunter Gojira, we retired all squads towards the airport. Using a rescued military vehicle, we moved to the boratory where we rescued three personnel and recovered the st research that was not sent. We encountered the supercomputer Green, which has gone into hibernation and sealed the facility, sir.

  - Okay... and the conflict against the monsters, Hunter Joy ?

  - After delivering the information and personnel to the airpne , we moved to help the team that had been cornered. Hunter Gojira and I battled against a swarm of gnolls and a battalion of hollow armors. With the use of my magic, I maintained distance and eliminated the gnolls with help from the team, while Hunter Gojira battled and eliminated the majority of the hollow armors, except for the presumably leader, a golden one . She kept it distracted as we evacuated and finally sent it flying as we escaped and took off...

  - Any important details , Hunter Joy?

  - The short-range radios stopped working within the first hour after nding, and what I can call a cleansing army of monsters has moved through the city as we were coming back to the airport . They were moving west, and from the pacing, I can estimate that in a week or less, they will encounter the insect-like monsters...

  - Okay, I'll await a written report tomorrow morning . You two are dismissed. *With strict calm, Commander Reese goes back to work, and considering the quantity of papers in the office and the tired faces of everyone around , something has happened in the meantime they were gone.*

  After exiting the office, they didn't have much more to do . With a slightly tired goodbye, Joy retired to her room some floors down, and then Goji entered her apartment . It's te at night, and the rest of the world is sleeping, but some aren't. As soon as she opens the door and takes a few steps inside, she is jumped by [Kin] and [Cha], her two dogs. Not a moment ter, three slightly bigger kittens jump towards her-[Do], [Re], [M . Then a bunny jumps towards her, white as snow-[Snowball]. Finally, a little lizard climbs onto her shoulder-[Fme] . Strange emotions appear in Goji as she caresses her pets : protectiveness, love, and finally happiness. A being so used to being alone is now surrounded by something she can call family . That night, as she y in her bed, she can say she is happy.

  The next morning, Goji wakes up and goes down to the living room . She quickly opens her ptop and proceeds to write her short report, sending it to Joy, knowing she will submit it . After that, she moves towards the kitchen with a mission... she will learn how to make coffee. She has a coffee machine here ; it has been in the apartment since she moved in , but she never learned how to use it . After seeing how all the people around her worked used it and hoow in the movies they always are drinking coffe, she has decided to try it . What is the worst that can happen?

  The sun has passed its peak and it's te in the day. In front of Goji's apartment door stands a nervous girl, a bit smaller than Joy, with short hair that is dark at the top and turns to dark blonde at the ends. Her clothes are comfy-just a simple sweater with a skirt and a pair of tights. It's Thori, directly from the military base at the outskirts of LA; she has come looking for Goji . A small pack of chocotes is in her hands as she knocks on the door. After a few moments, the door opens, and Goji cannot help but put her gaze to the ground, as she normally does...

  - Miss... Miss Gojira! I have come to say thank you ... and to give you a gift! *She pushes the pack of chocotes towards Goji, who softly takes it, curious. *

  - Ah, Thori, no? Thanks , thanks. Do you know how to make coffee ?

  - Eh? Coffee ? Yeah, I know ...

  At the question that has left her a bit confused, she finally looks at Goji, and the blush creeps to her face once more . In front of her, Goji is in what she normally wears in her apartment : a pair of shorts that make her powerful legs appealing at a new grade, and her shirt is from a band, oversized even for her. One shoulder is not covered, and with her rebellious bck hair that has some touches of blue here and there, she looks straight out of a fantasy for some, including Thori, who in her stunned moment says yes and is promptly taken inside by Goji. A long afternoon awaits the young scientist, as even Joy has a hard time resisting the appealing look...though she refuses to surrender
