The Rabbit Tuz (2)

At that moment, l only thought of getting back home to my little sanctuary. I told Mr.Tuz the new coordinates that may have shifted due to the disorderly vapor. There were often such vapors of chaos that shifted the time space continuum of this new world. They happened whenever a new group from some new dimension or planet were transported or warped and thrown in this world to be more precise. They were all humans or at the very least look alike. They spoke different languages but the fundamentals were the same so with the help of all these mismatched people of different eras and time, a system was put in order that could differentiate the people and help them live. This system was only made possible after a long era of bloodshed and war as no one could die after acquiring the immortal drug which was the most normal commodity at the present time and in the past.

The recipe of the immortal drug was the flesh of the Deprave and everyone could become like an immortal. The only downside was that everyone was marked and there was the brutal turning of groups meaning people would lose their mind and transform, acquire a beastly form and disappear into Depraves as a low level one. At first, they would be conscious of their actions and later they would attack their own group. They would mostly lose their cool and start chanting about God and whatnot. They were disliked by people and thus some of them were killed and their soul badge taken which would give it`s bearer better power than his own.

I had lost my soul badge a long time ago or more specifically l mastered at creating them, It was a task or only the Brave. I was not one of them. I was more of a mercenary who was a free lodder and did whatever he wanted. It gave us freedom and autonomy. Such a peaceful world, some newcomers would say forgetting one very crucial and important thing that they were better off dead than to become a Deprave because the soul badge was made through their blood and only a few leaders could hold deity level soul badge. They hated the newly converted Depraves and executed them publicly. The problem was that it was only a one way ticket to hell. One might become undead but there was also the part that human converted Depraves were hideous and monstrous looking so they were biased and looked down upon. If one was not given food or was experimented upon or was burnt in the sun continuously such acts of punishment were the only possible solution to keep order or to maintain this biasness. As long as one was a human, they would always think they are supreme.

This paradise was turned into a hell. Cults spread throughout the regions proclaiming different deities and gods. They had many stories and all wanted their deity to be the ruler and there came the collapsed war as we called it. It was not a fight rather a religious and political warfare. It was the same situation before but this time there was no death and everyone was fighting. Everyone was responsible and everyone wanted to be the king. The only thing that was odd was that they all got strange messages from the Depraves. A council of Depraves intervened and gave each faction places to win in battles. It was a peaceful resolution or not. Such things could not be said precisely about.

To top it off, there were the dimensional shifts and strange atmosphere. It was sometimes cold and sometimes hot. It was habitable but it all seemed a little too nice so humans once again habited this world with no aim or dream to speak of. They could have anything in the world as long as they worked on it and their soul badge would indicate it. There were scholars, messengers and messiahs of people in charge with the representation of their factions. The present people like me who knew the most about the world hosted them and became the leaders while some like me were only left to scrape after people. When death goes away, progress becomes slow and one main problem the younger generations could not produce. It was impossible to have a child. It was the downside of the immortal drug and hence came the era known as the paradiso era in the collapsed world. For me, it is a collapsed world but for others it is paradise. I never married for a thousand years and never went deep into the hole except for finding the purpose of this world.

I knew this world was manufactured. I had lived for a thousand years since the time of the vortex formations and all the confusion before that AD calendar. I could remember all of those times, l wished for death but it did not come. I was, am and would always be a coward for running away from the fighting and from the reality of this world that with death gone, the belief in deities was also leaving away. The caste and creed system was again in play with the Depraves at the lowest standard. That is why the sign of Depravity was a sign of disgrace and other horrible stuff like the persecution of servants. Things were not on the right track and there must be another way. This thought was what had transpired in my mind for about a thousand years but never was there an answer to this damn question. Allaya was the only hope for living that I had left.
