The Scent of Jasmine and Titmotri Fruits

It is said that the soul senses what lies ahead, especially when two souls are connected. Gu Zong, who had just arrived at the valley-filled region above, was mesmerized by the beautiful, captivating scenery. His eyes scanned all directions, his heart filled with a joyful peace. A gentle smile blossomed on his face at the sight of this beautiful region, as if he had never seen anything like it before. But then something suddenly came to his mind, and he suddenly shook his head and pulled himself back to himself. Gu Zong gently patted his own face and cheeks with both hands and said,

"Oh my God... we'll deal with all this later. Let's finish what we came here to do first."

Gu Zong said in a soft voice. With quiet footsteps, he walked forward. But as he took a few steps forward, he suddenly stepped on the tail of a white cat. The cat let out a loud yelp, causing Gu Zong to react like lightning, stepping back and seeing the cat running away from him. Looking at the cat, he muttered, "Cat?" He stepped back, and his other foot hit a tree root protruding from the ground. Gu Zong's eyes widened as his foot hit the root, and Gu Zong stumbled back, "huh seriously!!!" he muttered to himself. And landing hard against the trunk of the tree. His back hit the trunk with such force that the entire tree shook. As the tree swayed, a pink fruit fell from above onto Gu Zong's head. "What fruit is this?"

Gu Zong asked in a deep, unintelligible voice, picking up the fruit.

Although Gu Zong was constantly rubbing his head to try and reduce the swelling from the fall, he was also staring at the fruit, which was perfectly round but bright pink in color. "I've never seen a fruit like this before. What kind of fruit is this?"

Gu Zong stared at the fruit, and with that, he got up, stood upright, and began to walk forward. His foot suddenly tripped over a small stone, causing him to stumble again and fall forward. But before he could hit the ground, he saw a black snake slithering in the grass. Seeing the snake, his eyes widened as if his very soul had rebelled within him. "No, no, no, don't fall, don't fall...!"

Gu Zong screamed in a desperate voice, struggling to steady his falling body, but still unable to stop himself from falling.

Gu Zong was so stunned by what had just happened that he simply stared at the snake slithering on the ground in front of him with wide eyes and open mouth. The snake, too, turned towards him at the sudden movement, its tongue lolling out as it stared at Gu Zong, who lay on the ground like a Defeated soldier. It was then that Gu Zong realized the dire dilemma he was in. He stared at the snake, almost like a crying child, as if he had already accepted his death. He muttered to himself, "Wow, what a cowardly death I'm about to die!"

Gu Zong grimaced and said, but just before the snake could sting him, he took a deep breath, rose with all his might, and turned back. However, his rise was so swift that he stumbled and started falling again. This time, Gu Zong closed his eyes, for the place where he was about to fall was covered with sharp plants. He knew that if he fell on them, they would stab him terribly. But then, Gu Zong stopped right there, falling. It was as if time had stopped. His ears began to ring, his heart began to beat faster, his breath slowed as he felt a hand on his waist. And when he looked up, his eyes widened with an unspoken emotion, for he was being held by none other than Wuang Shi. Wuang Shi's soft, silky long hair gently brushed Gu Zong's face in the gentle breeze. The shattered shadows of the trees swaying in the wind fell upon them. Wuang Shi's calm, lake-like eyes stared intently into Gu Zong's fiery ones, and then, with a smooth movement, Wuang Shi pulled Gu Zong up firmly towards his chest, so that only a short distance remained between their faces. Gu Zong constantly felt the light touch of Wuang Shi's hair on his face, and from nowhere, the scent of jasmine began to waft through the air. But that scent was far removed from the sparkle that shone in Wuang Shi and Gu Zong's eyes. And Gu Zong could clearly feel Wuang Shi's rapid heartbeat against his chest as their bodies clung to each other like a dewdrop clinging to a flower. A calm, composed atmosphere began to spread.

"What are you doing here, Yun?"

Wuang Shi's deeply satisfied voice spread around Gu Zong's face like the fragrance of flowers, and only then did Gu Zong regain his composure and take a hesitant step back. But as Gu Zong regained his composure and looked directly at Wuang Shi, Gu Zong's ability to think and comprehend was almost gone.

Because Wuang Shi's aura still represented the same water meditation, his clothes and hair still behaved as if he were walking on the deepest surface of the water. Looking at Wuang Shi amidst the scattered shade of the trees and the rustling breeze was like gazing upon a luminous beauty. And then Wuang Shi closed his eyes and allowed his aura to return to the present. In no time, Wuang Shi began to return to his original state. His clothes and hair began to calm down. And Gu Zong just stared at Wuang Shi, wide-eyed.

  After a while...

When the atmosphere and Wuang Shi had calmed down completely, Wuang Shi asked the same question again, "Are you here?"

Then he hurriedly replied in a shaky voice.

  "I?...I'm here..."

His voice began to falter, and after a moment of thought, a false answer came out of his lips.

"Ohh, yes...I'm here to pick three fruits from the Titmotri tree. My grandfather sent me here."

With this, he walked forward, waving his hands in the air, but he tried to hide the sweat on his forehead and his trembling hands. But just as he was a little distance away from Wuang Shi, Gu Zong let out a long, heavy sigh and looked back. Seeing that Wuang Shi wasn't where he had been, Gu Zong's eyebrows furrowed. But then a voice came from beside him.

  "Let's go."

Hearing this sudden voice, Gu Zong quickly turned to look at where Wuang Shi was standing calmly, watching him.

  "But where?"

Gu Zong asked, wide-eyed, looking at Wuang Shi, his heartbeat still struggling to keep pace with his calm breathing.

  "To find the Butterfly Tree."

Wuang Shi looked ahead, his voice calm. But this calm voice created an earthquake within Gu Zong. He had come here to say something else, but something else came out of his mouth. Just then, Wuang Shi moved further into the valley, and Gu Zong stood there with the same like a frozen shrub, wearing a sour expression. He scolded himself, saying,

"Shame on you, Gu Zong! What was the point of talking about the Titmotri tree?"
