The Revelation Part 1

Nothing noteworthy happened after that. Phoenix is currently learning things about mana cores, which are artificial objects that constantly generate mana and are used for keeping powerful animated constructs animated. He then thought to himself, “Why are so many students cursed…?” He then sensed a person’s source magic being used. He doesn’t yet know what a source is yet, but he knew what it felt like.

[Define: Source: An astral item that all living beings have inside of their soul. Without it, a person would be permanently dead, excluding regressors, and even if a person somehow survived without, they wouldn’t be able to use magic without getting it from other beings or from certain magic items. People have survived without their source before, but doing so is almost impossible.] [Would you like to see your (source) rank and stats?] “Yes,” Phoenix silently answered

Phoenix then thought, ”Interesting. Let all poison be neutralized.” He cast a spell that was supposed to, well, neutralize all poison and poison magic. He failed. And somehow managed to instead increase the curse’s magic power enough for him to get cursed. ”This pain. Now I know the reason why Alera is considered so dangerous.” He then checked his mental affinities, which are affinities like the [(Calculation) {Affinity}], which determined the speed at which he could fully analyze a certain curse he was afflicted with so as to be able to dispel it.

[(Mental) {Affinities}: (Calculation): (Willpower): (Psi): (Psionic Perception): (Psionic Stealth): ]

Phoenix then activated the skill, [Analyze Spell], which used both the [(Calculation)] and the [(Law)] Affinities. Mainly the [(calculation)] affinity. ”This curse may be stronger than the one that Aero had, but I have a very strong feeling that this one is, at most, basic in the eyes of Alera.” Phoenix then noticed Aero entering. As he was doing so, Aero noticed Phoenix and silently realized, ”He is also beginning to investigate Alera. Well, indirectly, that is.” Phoenix then focused his mana into an almost invisible rune in order to gain more info about the principal of the admin academy that he attends. ”Personal status,” Phoenix thought.

  [Phoenix - Administrator]

  [Admin rank: <0.80>]

  [Invitation accepted]

  [Afflictions: Curse of poison(b)]

[Further Data Regarding your Affliction is Currently Unavailable]

[You Are Now Being Transported To the Ceremony’s Location]

The ranking system the system uses is as follows in ascending power order: f, e, d, c, b, a, s, and EX. ”Maybe I can see who else accepted,” Phoenix thought.

[An rank 1,000 administrator is curious about what makes you so suspicious of the principal of the administrator academy you attend]

”...How do they know?” Phoenix wondered as he located said admin. He then inquires, “Are you the admin that somehow knows of what I’m suspicious of, even though I have 1,000,000 mental veil spells, give or take, that are each at the rank EX? If so, just look at my status.” The admin answered, “Yes, that would be me. I know because I have the ability to sense things like that. I am the first psion, after all. Also, are you saying that Alera cursed you? I am Ash, by the way.” Phoenix looked at him, slightly confused why Ash wouldn’t be able to sense why Phoenix is suspicious of Alera. He answers, “Yes, I am. But that would be partially a lie. I tried to dispel the curse that's affecting me now from other students. The curse had absorbed the mana I had used and cursed me using it. The curse afflicting the other students was made up of Alera’s mana.” Ash replies, “Hmm. Interesting.” Phoenix then sensed an extremely powerful hostile elemental mana enter the half endless city, half endless fresh water ocean in huge amounts. One of the other new administrators calmly said, “Everyone, calm down, please. I recognize this elemental aura as a Frozen Flame’s aura.” Phoenix thought to himself, “This isn’t good. Frozen Flame elementals are both extremely intelligent and extremely powerful. Even when they are compared to elder monarchs like me and rank 1,000 administrators like Ash.” He then told everyone else, who began freaking out after the revelation of what they are facing, “Everyone, freaking out will not help. We need a strategy, asap. I need at least one volunteer for each class grouping. Preferably ones with good leadership skills. I’ll lead the mages.” Everybody there then received a quest notification.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

  [Quest: Stop the Elemental’s Assault]

  [Rank: EX]

[Reward: Admin rank up to Rank 10 or Increased Reputation with Many Species]

[Goal: Work with each other to defeat the elemental invaders.]

[In order to make the quest simple, there will be an system used]

[Phoenix has Decided to Lead the Mages. Synergy Bonus Can Be Obtained]

A woman told everyone, “I guess I’ll lead the other clerics. My name is Ana.”

[Ana has Decided to Lead the Clerics. Synergy Bonus Can Be Obtained]

Crystal stood up and told everybody, “I will lead any other assassins for the time being.”

[Crystal has Decided to Lead the Assassins. Synergy Bonus Can Be Obtained]

A person in enchanted white and gold plate armor tells everyone, “I’ll lead the other paladins for now. I am Aleda.”

[Aleda has Decided to Lead the Paladins. Synergy Bonus Can Be Obtained]

Ash tells everyone, “I am going to lead the psions. My name is Ash.

[Ash has Decided to Lead the Psions. Synergy Bonus Can Be Obtained]

An Frozen Flame elemental appeared, aiming for Phoenix, although Phoenix had expected this to happen. He mentally activated a spell to delete it from the timeline, but somehow failed. And got a very disadvantageous affliction.

[You have Gained Affliction: Chaotic Mind]

[It is harder to cast spells due to a loss of focus. -15% Spell stability]

  [Affliction Gained: Burning Frost]

[Continues Minor Hp Drain and Slowed Movement]

Phoenix, annoyed, asked the elemental, “What even made the Elder Elemental Aurum decide to risk incurring the wrath of not only the administrators, but the wrath of the elder monarch of magic as well?” The elemental revealed itself once more. It decided to take the form of a tall humanoid man with some dark hair, then another elemental revealed itself, taking the form of a tall, armored long haired woman. Both of them had violet eyes. The duo looked at Phoenix, and yet another affliction came upon Phoenix.

[Afflictions Gained: Immobilization and Magic Binding]

[Immobilization: Physical Movement Heavily Restricted. Magic Binding: You Cannot Use Any Magic]

Phoenix sensed that everyone else also had the same affliction. “That means that they are elemental overlords. Not good. Not good at all.” The 2 elementals swiftly closed the distance and greatly injured everyone that is already here. Keyword: Already. Just as one of them was about to say something, another admin arrived.

[You Are in the Presence of One of the Administrators of the Cosmos. Be Careful]

They speak with a booming voice that echoes… A lot. “You DARE to enter the domain of the administrators?! Aurum will be punished after you two are.” In a flash of light, the elemental overlords ceased to exist, and Phoenix and the other admins were healed.

[Quest Completed; Rewards will be delayed. The Titan wishes to speak with all of you. You will soon be brought to them by a System Guide. Please be patient] Someone shouted, “Anyone know why the system can’t just teleport us to the Titan?” A few whispers circulated through the crowd of administrators.

  [Afflictions Have Ended]

“Even the curse?” Phoenix wondered. Then the unexpected happened.

  [Yes, even the curse]

“What?! The system responded?! It shouldn’t be able to do that!”

[I have always been able to not only respond, but to start conversations. I usually reserve this ability for admins, though]

An system guide appeared in front of the crowd in an hour or so, and brought them to a white area with a lot of pentagons and another person, an elf by the looks of it, standing behind a desk. The guide tells the elf, “The admins behind me are here to see the Titan. The Titan wishes for the meeting themself.” The elf replies, “Very well, then. Please follow me.” They do so and quickly reach a room with the Titan inside, wearing normal clothes and appearing like a normal human man. When they enter, Phoenix sees the Titan, looking at him with a curious look in their eyes. They speak with a resonant voice that also echoes a lot, “Hello. You must be curious why I called you here. My reason is that you are far too close to learning something you shouldn’t.” Their face now looks serious. “You must not go fight the elemental overlords if you want to stay ignorant and safe. You may leave now.” The group of administrators did exactly that. “I wonder what they are talking about…” Phoenix thought.

[Are you really sure you want to know?]

  “Yes.”

[Tell the guide that you’ll leave on your own when you are ready to. I will then give you temporary access to the data you want. When I do, ask the elf for file and show him your status]

“Okay.” With that, the conversation with the system ended. Just before the guide led the group out of the building, Phoenix told him, “I’ll leave when I feel it is time to leave, okay?” The guide considered for a moment and explained, “You will have access to almost nothing here. Did you realize that?” Phoenix replied, “Um.. No, I did not. That does not change my mind, though.” The guide nodded his head and left with the others.

[You have been granted temporary access to file by the system. Remaining time: 12 hours]

Phoenix approached the elf and the elf asked, “Is there anything I can do for you, kind sir?” Phoenix answered him while sharing his personal status, “Actually, yes. May I see file EX-2?” The elf replied, “Yes, you can. I will transfer the file until you leave this facility.”

why have you not been reviewing or doing something like that?
