"What the hell! Where am I?! What in the hell!" I said looking around a small and sparsly furnished wooden room. Only a door, a bed, and a small bedside wardrobe stood out. "Mirror, mirror, mirror, I need a mirror" I looked around the room.
Next to the door I spotted a samll wooden bucket filled with water, I looked into it and saw a young looking boy with black hair with flecks of gold, and dark purple eyes.
Pretty fitting for the eldritch look but I had guessed something more I dont know horrific and alien?. I guess I would say that im pretty handsome. But with my level of self esteem that properly meant that I was the most handsome guy in the universe or something like that.
Suddenly my head felt like it was about to explode, as I merged and remembered the last 6 years of his life.
Wow. He, I where quite the charmer, spinning the caretakers around his, no, my little finger.
Shit! How was I supposed to live up to this sandard i couldnt even socialise all that well in my previos life. What am I supposed to do with this!
I was pretty damn tall for my age, about 1 meter 30, from what I could recall the caretakers were frightened by this unnatural occurance, I was also deemed more intelligent than the average 6 year old, but everybody said that, that was beacuse I had a strong magical potential to become a Magician or Sorcerer.
"Bedgar are you awake?" A voice suddenly came from the other side of the door. The door slowly opened to reveal a young woman, I would say about 20 years old. Her name was Barbra, if I recalled correctly.
"Why are you not dressed yet? This is an important day, you know", she said stenly.
From what I could remembered about today, a magician from the high streets was coming by to see if anybody had an incling of magical potential.
Thinking about it, I propperly didn't have any magical potential, or at least as far as they knew! the Eldritch magic would maybe make it look like I didn't have any magic. Oh! That reminded me to to check my status.
"I'll be there in 2 ticks" I said (Ticks = aproximately 2.5 minutes)
She nodded and quietly left the room.
I thought Status and a lot of blue screens pop up infront of me at once.
"Welcome to your once in a lifetime explanation of your status - first your attributes. You will now be looking at your charactar sheet and wonder 'where is the level meter?', the simple answer is, there are no levels. You can only gain attribute points once every year on your birthday at which point you will gain 5 points. Other than that you must train, and train hard."

"Now to your stamina and mana. Stamina is used for physical exercises. If you run out of stamina, you won't be able to even stand upright and breath properly, but don't worry, you usually genarate more stamina than you spend in a day. Only really hard tasks have the possibilty to make your stamina hit 0. Now for your mana. Mana is used not only for spell casting but also for mind exercises, like Calcules or Algebra. If you run out of mana, you get mind fatigue and turn into a mindless being for a couple of days."
"Now to your mysterious species. Here is a list of your species' abilities "
"Well, I hope you remembered all that. See you never!". the voice said. I looked over the screens, while I put on my clothes.
The woman named Barbra stood outside my door waiting impatienly, when I walked out of the room into a long narrow wooden corridor connecting all the rooms.
"You are already late, so you better hurry up now remember its not everyday you get the oppertunity to be adobted by someone as high up as a magister so you better be on your best behavior you hear me!", Barbra said, as we ran down the corridor towards the dinning hall which was apparenly at the far side opposite to my room.
As we entered the dining hall I saw an older portly looking man in a deep orange robe with a green pattern of some kind imbroidered into it, sitting in a chair on a raised platform at the end of the dinning room and speaking, infront of him sat seemingly the entireaty of the rest of the orphanage looking up at him entranced as he spoke. As soon as we entered the dinning room he looked over at over at us and as he smiled said "finally...
