Prologue

  It happened suddenly, though the difference wasn’t obvious at first. Like the first snow of winter, it slowly overcame the Earth.

  The truly perceptive of people felt it, the heavy feeling in the air, the discomfort under their skin, the soft buzzing. As the animals started howling and yapping and the babies bawled, animal centers and hospitals became places of cacophony all over the world.

  FInally, like a dam breaking after a torrent of rain, everyone felt it. Along with it came the swirling masses of blue, red, and orange. Hallucinations of translucent boxes among the younger folk. Headaches and pains for everyone.

  And then, the portals opened.

  But this isn't about that; this is about an unfortuante soul, who took their last breath when this all began. Though, they would take another agan very soon.
