“I got 5 glorious mana points wizard! In five more minutes you’re going dooooown!” Karen gloated as she kicked her stubby legs. She was still completely stuck to the wall by the web. That didn’t seem to put a damper on her egotistical diatribes.
Alexander ignored her threats as he looked at his new prompt.

His glyph chain must have just gone off. He regretted not getting to see how the glyphs had interacted. Though the knowledge had been mostly placed in him by a skill, he knew there were more secrets to tease out by the interplay. He suspected he had used will to push the skill beyond its limitations, thus granting him another level in arcana so quickly.
He was truly stuck now, however. Paralyzed completely from head to toe. Whereas Karen was stuck to the wall by his webbing. They both could just make out the chanting and yelling outside on the runway. When Karen had heard it, she yelled at the top of her lungs for them to come get her and threatened to send their asses back home if they didn’t hurry. It seemed whatever control she thought she had was not capable of piercing the walls, to Alexanders great relief.
“Ha! Here we go. Summon gnome!” Sharon yelled as she regained the last mana point she needed.
Alexander felt nervous as he felt the magic of the air shift and move near Karen. Black wisps of shadow twisted into the form of a tiny little man no more than 10 inches tall. It had a tiny red hat and chubby cheeks so puffy its beady eyes looked to be closed.
“Gnome, I command you. Punch Alexander in the dick! Then come back and tear these webs off of me.”
The gnome saluted before waddling towards Alexander. It started winding up one off its pudgy little arms, loosening its shoulder for a punch when Alexander heard a chirp in the hallway.
Alexander felt relief and affection for the little mischief maker.

Your bond with Flick has reached 30%
The gnome began to pull it’s arm back, but Alexander wasn’t worried. His eyes attempted to focus on the shadows he could make out. Waiting for his rescuer to leap out and protect his manhood from harm.
The gnome threw his hand forward right between Alexanders legs.
Fortunately for Alexander, he was completely paralyzed at the moment and unable to feel pain. He found the sensation, or lack there of, intriguing. Flick finally appeared as he hopped on Alexander’s shoulder. He squeaked and looked down at the gnome with interest. The gnome in turn, looked up from Alexanders crotch, but turned and started waddling towards the webs he was commanded to tear apart. Sharon also noticed the dragon.
“Wait! What the in the world of geckos is that? Gnomey, attack that black lizard thing!”
The gnome turned and Alexander felt he could see annoyance in the gnomes face. It shuffled it’s feet and charged at Flick. The Demi-Dragon in turn simply cocked its head to the side in confusion. The gnome leapt in the air a full two inches and grabbed onto Alexander’s shirt to begin climbing. As it reached out to grab Flicks leg, Flick did a little hop and landed on the back of the gnome, latching on for a piggy back.
“No you stupid gnome! Kick him! Bite him! Grrrr!” Sharon said starting to twist her body without much success.

The gnome fell off Alexander landing on it’s back. Flick simply slid off the gnome as it fell and checked on the little guy, concerned. As it got close, the gnome slapped Flick in the face.
Flicks eyes narrowed at the insult. The gnome rolled on its belly pushing itself up with difficulty. It didn’t see Flick open it’s mouth, sparks flying between it’s little fangs.
As the gnome finally got up and locked eyes with the Demi-Dragon, his face dropped in annoyed resignation before being swallowed up by a bolt of electricity.
The figure of the gnome simply poofed away dropping a tiny black crystal.
“Shit.” Sharon cursed.
Flick turned to Sharon and sunk into a shadow that climbed up the wall. It leapt out of the top of the shadow onto Sharon’s chest and looked straight into her face.
“Alex… dont let your lizard hurt me please…” she said with nervous tinge to her voice.
Alexander, still paralyzed, just laid there silently.
Flick opened it’s mouth wide and let the sparks dance in it’s mouth for Sharon to see.
“ALEEEEEX!” She screamed, before she released the paralysis.
Unfortunately for Alexander, he had recently been racked by a gnome.
“OOOOOOwwwwwwuuugh.” Alexander rolled onto his stomach in pain.
Flick leapt off of Karen and glided onto Alexander’s back to check on him.
“I’m… going… to be… ok.” Alexander managed to squeak out.
After a few seconds he was able to slowly push himself up. Groaning and limping he pulled out a chair and sat down. He took a deep breath and looked up at Karen. Summoning an illusory fireball.
“Can you really un-summon the army?” He asked.

“No.” She said nervously. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. I didn’t really want to control the city. Ha! No way….”
As she rambled Alexander pulled out a grilled cheese sandwich and ate it to increase his recovery by 50%.
“…all of these options and all I really wanted was a Lexus…”
“Webs.” Alexander cast. Slapping them over Karen’s mouth. He grabbed her book off the table as he stood up, and limped as fast he dared towards the exit.

As he was about to leave he looked down at Flick trailing him.
“I suppose I shouldn’t bother telling you to stay here. You have more than earned the right to fight if you want. Just stick to the shadows and return to me when you are tired if you can.”
Chirp.
“Good. Now lets go be diligent citizens.”
When Alexander exited the tower he saw chaos. He was pleased to see his wind and web snare worked well and had held the army back for a decent amount of time. The suggestion spell must have helped as the warriors looked strong enough to break his webs quickly. He had suggested they all ‘take a moment to think about their decisions in life’ seeing as that command would transcend cultural boundaries.
Alexander once again used his invisibility spell, this time he hopped on a floating disc and got it to top speed. He headed for a small knot of humans that were being surrounded. As he got closer he watched as they turned the tides. A few of them had glowing weapons. An impressive little kid was shooting what appeared to be a bright yellow plastic uzi in short bursts. The bullets sending the orcs flying backwards.
Three orcs charged a lady wielding a broom, her necklace glowed and transformed into shield that emitted a silvery light. As she shoved back on an orc with the shield, it made the orc stumble dazed for a moment as she took the opportunity to attack. Her broom snapped out knocking the orc in the side of the head.
Shouting orders was a man dressed in a suit. Alexander was glad someone was coordinating this mess. The agent threw a dagger at an approaching orc. Simultaneous with the throw, the man disappeared and reappeared a dozen feet away, beside the orc, dagger in hand as he pulled it out and stabbed again.
Alexanders primary concern was that he didn’t see Ridley. He was doing well on mana so he stood, reached out his hands and with a gesture, sent a tunnel of wind at the supporting line of the orcs. Several dozen orcs were shoved to the ground receiving deep cuts that sent black blood spinning away from Alexander. Team humans saw the disturbance and looked at its source, spotting Alexander.
Only now did he realize his invisibility was gone. The orcs noticed at the same time and began hurling spears and clubs at him.
Chirp!
“Yes, I noticed, thank you.” He gestured and a shield had him and Flick easily covered as the projectiles smacked against it and dropped.
Alexander made a quick retreat to find his employee.
