I was woken up by Anna at the usual time in the early morning. Anna was dressed differently than usual. Instead of the long skirt and the traditionally thick fabric of the usual Maid's Uniform, she was in a thinner and shorter sleeved top and a shorter skirt. Of course they were black and white just like the Uniform she had been wearing, but even still, she noticed my staring and started to speak to me.

  " Master, do you like my new look?"

  Surprised by her question I tilted my head and tried to make sure I heard her right, so I asked her to repeat what she said. Anna did and it was exactly the same question I heard. I decided to just answer truthfully.

  " Yes, I think it looks more natural considering how hot it has been lately. I would always feel a bit bad about bringing you places while the sun was beaming down on us."

  " It's fine, Master! I use magic to stay cool. Here, I'll show you!"

  / Woosh!/

  * Cool...*

  " !"

  Anna channeled her Mana and a burst of cold air exited through her sleeves and hit me in the face. It startled me. Anna began to speak again.

  " It's a combination of Advanced Druid Magic! I can even use it on other people to keep them cool!"

  She looked at me as if she wanted my praise. I caved pretty easily and started to speak to her.

  " That's awesome, Anna! I can't even use any Magic to keep cool!"

  After I praised her, she looked unsatisfied with it. I was confused by her expression. Eventually, she looked at me with a serious look in her eyes and with blushing cheeks, she began to speak at a low volume.

  " C-C-Can you repeat that... While patting my head?"

  " Wait, you want me to pat your head?"

  Her cheeks got even redder, and she simply nodded her head. I don't know if it was that I had just woken up or the look in Anna's eyes, but I decided to just do it. I got up and started to speak.

  " Okay, I'll start to pat you now."

  * Raise. pat. pat. pat.*

  Anna just looked at me silently as I lifted my hand out and began to pat her. I started to praise her as well.

  " Anna, you're a great Maid. Every day I realize how lucky I am that you became my Maid. From your cooking to your care for me in even the most minute details, I don't know if I'll ever be able to repay it all. But I hope that you can stick with this inexperienced master for the long haul."

  Again, Anna just looked at me. This time she had a complicated expression on her face. Realizing that I may have put her in an awkward position as my Servant, I decided to try to explain myself.

  " Oh! I mean.. That's only if you want to stay by my side in the future. I mean, you might find somebody you want to marr...."

  * Tap. Press.*

  She placed her finger to my lips to silence me, she looked me in my eyes for a solid minute before smiling. She then began to speak.

  " John, we need to get ready for Aqua's class. Let me fetch you breakfast."

  She continued to smile as she walked happily out of my room. The smile had not left her face by the time she had made it back. The breakfast was a simple omelet with browned sausage and toast. As I ate it, Anna would look my way occasionally as she was cleaning. With this atmosphere, we both headed to Aqua's class.

  Once we entered the classroom, I noticed that Sharon was missing, other than that, Sarah, Cynthia and Asha were sitting next to each other in the row closest to Aqua's desk. Aqua was sitting in her desk with 4 massive tomes in front of her. Anna and I approached everyone and greeted them. After sitting down next to Sarah, Anna sat next to me. Aqua, after finishing writing on a piece of paper, stood up and brought the 4 books to us. After resting a book in front of each of the girls, Aqua began to speak.

  " After looking through our Grimoires in the libraries, I decided that these would be the best ones for each of you."

  Cynthia was the first to speak about what was in front of her.

  " Mother, why just us? Why not a book for John?"

  Aqua looked at Cynthia with a helpless look on her face and started to speak.

  " Simply put, we don't have any tomes for him. Diablos doesn't have a history of friendship with Paladins after all."

  Everyone got quiet, I started to speak since I wanted to know what I was going to be doing then.

  " Aqua, if I can't study a Grimoire, what am I going to do?"

  " Well, you'll be doing the same things we have been doing. Also, we will set aside time for you to experiment with your Holy Magic. Seeing that you learned an Offensive Spell, we can start trying to put you in different emotional states to try and learn different Spells. Along with that, we will be practicing Magic as a group, then as trios and then as duos so as to improve our teamwork moving forward."

  With the understanding of what we would be doing moving forward, I asked if I could use an Appraisal Orb to see what that new Spell was called. In no time, an orb was brought.

  Seems I had some new information. The first thing I noticed was the additional Titles I had. I decided to look at it by pressing on the Yes option. When I touched it, a text box opened up.

  I don't even want to know what any of this means. I'm tempted to equip it for the luck increase in general... But I'd rather not. How did I even get this Title? Finding no answer for myself, I decide to just look at my new Titles. Looking at my other Titles, Diligent Student is what you think it would be. Because I put in honest effort to learn, Diligent Student makes learning things being taught to me easier. It seems to work for anything taught. Should be useful when I learn proper Noble Conduct and the History of Gaia. Brazen Warrior was interesting. The text box read like this.

  Wow, what a Title! This is a gold mine for a Summoner! While feeling great about my new Title, I finally look at Holy Bolt.

  The basic Offensive Spell for Holy Magic. A simple bolt of Holy Magic to destroy an enemy! Attained when truly wanting to smite an evil doer!   It seems Warrick was correct in assuming emotions were the key to Holy Mana. I shared my findings with everyone. They all seemed surprised by the information.

  * Grip! Squeeze!*

  Sarah hugged me and began to speak after I told everyone about it.

  " This is great, John! This means you finally have an understanding of how to grow as a Magician! I can't wait to see how you grow in 2 months!"

  " Thank you, Sarah. It's such a relief! I finally really have a solid idea of how to make it work now!"

  Everyone congratulated me on my progress. Even Asha! She noticed how surprised I was and began to speak.

  " You know, John, I don't hate you or anything! I want to be your Friend you know!"

  " You have an interesting way of showing it."

  To my response she pulled on my ear. As we were all causing a ruckus, Aqua released Mana to calm us down and draw our attention to her.

  " While I am also quite happy for John, this doesn't mean we will be turning this classroom into a circus! I believe now will be a good time to get to work, so it is time for everyone to sit and listen to me!"

  Everyone sat down and Aqua began to explain what Grimoires were going to who.

  " For starters, Asha! You will receive a Grimoire that I learned from originally! It has a lot of knowledge stored in it. It took me 6 months to fully conquer that book, so good luck to you!"

  Asha looked at the book like it was an autograph from her favorite singer, seems she's happy it's something Aqua had used before. Next Aqua looked at Cynthia.

  " Cyn, you and Sarah both have the same Grimoire. They are both copies of the same Grimoire your Father used during our school days. After he had finished the book, his powers magnified many times over. It will be useful to the both of you!"

  Sarah and Cynthia both seemed happy with their books. It was Anna's turn next.

  " Anna, seeing as how the Druid Class is a Rare Job in Diablos, the resources on it are limited. However, My Son, Andros, found a book while sleuthing around a certain Country a few weeks ago while looking for a cure for Sarah. It had Spells related to different Gods. Including the Goddess of Nature that you draw your strength from. That book is a copy of all the information that the original book held for the Nature Goddess; it should help you grow accordingly."

  While everyone got busy studying, I began to go through the motions of Tempering and Clashing Mana with Aqua. After we finished, I tried experimenting with Holy Mana. Unfortunately, I had no luck today, but I felt like I grew in my understanding of Holy Magic. With that, the classes finished, and everyone went to the training field where Crest and Paul were waiting.
