Chapter 101: Weak but Loves to Play

After breakfast, Eros began wandering aimlessly around the mansion. During his stroll, he bumped into Madam Florika. She appeared incredibly bashful upon seeing him, likely recalling the events of the previous night. Eros, however, kept his expression neutral and gave her a curt nod, acting as if nothing had happened. Relieved by his composure, Florika returned a proper greeting.

Just as Eros thought the day would pass quietly, members of the Church of Reincarnation arrived. Leading the delegation was Ondo Calamanda, the Regional Bishop of the Western District of Indiles' inner city.

The Bishop’s personal visit confirmed Eros’s suspicions: it was time for his official coronation as the "Son of God." Since his identity remained a secret, the ceremony was to be kept simple, with the Church promising compensation for the lack of grandeur.

Eros had already notified his family in the Principality of North via Shadow Raven about his new status. However, since Estelle had been traveling back to Indiles at the time, she hadn't received the message. When Eros had casually mentioned it to her while building the bathhouse yesterday, her expression had been a mix of shock and bewilderment—a look so dazed it made Eros want to laugh. Having had a night to process the news, she remained startled but managed to keep her composure as the Bishop spoke.

The entire Ducal family was invited to the cathedral to witness the rite. Usually, such a coronation would involve grand processions and elaborate rituals, but for security reasons, it was stripped down to the essentials. After prayers to the God of Death and Reincarnation, Cardinal Archbishop Anthony—The Sublime—acting as the Divine Messenger, placed the Seven-Fold Crown upon Eros and draped him in the Reincarnation Robes.

With that, the ceremony concluded. The promised compensation would be delivered to the mansion in the coming days, while the official rewards for the Son of God would be sent directly to the family estate in the Principality of North.

Archbishop Anthony departed shortly after, much to Eros’s relief. Although the Archbishop couldn't see through his true nature, his presence made it difficult for Eros to "freeload" materials from the Church.

Once the Archbishop was gone, Eros pulled Bishop Ondo into a corner. Upon hearing Eros’s "request," the Bishop waved it off dismissively. "If it is merely Sequence 7 ritual materials the Son of God requires, I can have them prepared for you immediately."

  Stolen novel; please report.

Perfect. The materials Natalia demanded were secured.

Eros soon left the cathedral in a carriage, materials in hand. Inside, he leaned over and rested his head on Estelle’s lap. She didn't mind, reaching out to tenderly brush his messy hair.

Glancing at Undine, who was staring boredly out the window, Eros asked casually, "Mama, do you know where Viscount Kenfield lives?"

Estelle thought for a moment. "I heard Micheal mention it the day before yesterday. Is it the family of the fiancée of the Sibei child—the one who begged for your forgiveness?"

  "Yes," Eros nodded.

"Why do you need their address?" Estelle asked, puzzled.

"I got along quite well with the Viscount’s daughter, Miss Syphreya, at the academy. I thought I’d pay them a visit," Eros replied nonchalantly.

  "Since when?"

Undine, who had been lounging by the window, suddenly snapped to attention. Her beautiful eyes were wide with shock and confusion. When did this bastard get close to Syphreya? Why didn't I know?

Eros coughed, his eyes darting around. "Just... around that time."

"Huh?" Undine was baffled. What time?

Estelle didn't dwell on their bickering. "I believe I heard the Viscount held an eighteenth birthday ball for his daughter. It’s about time you reached that age as well. I don't know the specific address, but you can ask the butler when we get home."

Eros nodded. Undine immediately chimed in, "I’m going too! I’m going too!"

Estelle gave her daughter a look of annoyance. "Your brother is going for a visit. Why would you tag along?"

"No~! I want to go! I’m going!" Undine whined, acting like a spoiled child. Estelle looked at her suspiciously.

"I’m not taking you!" Eros made a face at Undine.

Infuriated, Undine lunged at him, trying to pin him down. Estelle watched her two grown children—who still acted like toddlers—with a growing headache. Eventually, the scuffle ended with Eros pinning Undine down with a single hand. Looking at his defiant yet helpless sister, Eros scoffed:

  "Weak but loves to play!"

"Hmph!" Undine turned her face away with a cold snort.

"Not convinced?" Eros raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips.

"What are you doing?" Seeing that sinister grin, Undine shuddered, her voice weakening.

"Hehe, what do you think?" Eros began mercilessly tickling her.

"Hahahaha... hic!" Undine erupted into a fit of laughter, her body squirming frantically like a wild pig headed for slaughter. "Mama, look at him! Look at him!"

With this maneuver, Undine completely forgot her original goal. Too easy, Eros thought with a smirk. Completely under control.
