Hello, lovely readers!

  I truly hope you have been enjoying my humble tale. I’ve had so much fun writing What Burns Beneath, and it gives me an incredible amount of joy to know there are readers out there following along. I can’t wait to start the sequel!

  As we near the end of book 1, I’m going to be doing a round of edits and revisions to try and make What Burns Beneath a more tightly streamlined read.

  Some chapters might only need a few grammar tweaks here and there, but some will probably get a more intense revision. I foresee a lot of extraneous text getting cut and perhaps some lines of dialogue, brief descriptions, or conversations being altered/added here and there. Some chapters may even be condensed together. There will NOT be any major plot or character/dynamic changes!

  If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

  As I go through this process, I want to keep you all in the loop. So, with every edited chapter, I’ll post an updated author’s note that details what changes I made, the reasoning behind them, my thought process, etc.

  On that note, if there’s anything you as a reader noticed that needs to be addressed (inconsistencies, minor plot holes, questions that were left unanswered), let me know! If they were unintentional, then I want to make sure they are addressed.

  There will also be an official prologue added soon. I know prologues are sometimes not viewed favorably on this site, but this is a chapter I’ve been fine-tuning for a while now and I strongly feel that it adds some depth to the overall plot. I’ll post an author’s note when that goes live.

  All that said, as I go through the editing process, I will still continue to post regular new chapters on Mondays and Thursdays.
