Chapter 3: The Sun Elf Immortal Royalty

They traveled while relaxing, and the atmosphere within the group was very joyful. The sounds of laughter, shouting, and the wind whistling past their ears created a melody for the journey, making everyone feel comfortable and free. The two Halflings, with their cheerful and innocent nature, loved to sing all day long. Thus, they quickly became acquainted and close with the two bird-folk sisters before anyone realized it.

As they approached the border of the Kingdom of the Immortal Race, Bach Ho (White Tiger, Beastmen) changed his mind and wanted to stop. His expression grew serious, and a look of discomfort and wariness appeared in his eyes: "I'll stop here. Going in there is a real hassle; one might even be caught and turned into a mount. I really can't stand that lot of the Immortal Race in there at all."

White Tiger’s voice was full of contempt and annoyance. Before disembarking from the Flying Wood Dragon, White Tiger warned: "When you get close to the border, remember to fly high, otherwise it will be miserable." Han Thuong muttered an acknowledgement as if he had heard, but he quickly forgot.

The next day, they began to see the Kingdom of the Immortal Race from afar. In the center of the land was a massive tree thousands of meters tall, its trunk standing majestic like a living mountain. At the top of the tree, behind dense layers of clouds, were countless floating islands hovering around; each island sparkled like a jewel in mid-air. In the very center was a small floating island shaped like a rotating hemisphere called the Moon Disk.

Surrounding that giant tree were four other massive trees, each half the height of the central one, also reaching thousands of meters. This was the heart of the City of Immortals, where hundreds of hundred-meter-tall trees served as homes for the noble Immortals belonging to the Moon Elves, one of the three royal branches of the Immortals. Surrounding these five giant trees were vast grasslands where shorter trees stood nearly a hundred meters tall. The grass glowed faintly, emitting a soft light and the breath of pure spiritual qi. Many forest beasts roamed about, most of them naturally glowing at night or shining clearly under the shade of the trees, creating a mystical and poetic scene.

Moving out from the central area was the sparse forest, featuring many tall trees of various colors, such as white, red, purple, and blue forest zones, with flowers and grass of similar hues. These served as residences for the Immortals and Immortal nobility. Each tree was a house; the grass and beasts still glowed, though more faintly. The outermost area was the common district, where houses were made of brick and stone or small trees arranged exquisitely so that each home had a very wide courtyard. Every house planted many flowers and small trees for decoration, releasing a fragrant scent that charmed bees and butterflies. Many trees even played music whenever a gentle breeze blew through, creating a soothing and relaxing harmony that felt as though it were cleansing the human soul. Interspersed between the houses were Spirit Gathering Formations to increase the Spiritual Qi for the entire region.

Surrounding the peripheral area was a dense forest with tall trees growing closely together. As the Flying Wood Dragon was flying slowly, it was suddenly attacked from the treetops. Many Long-Armed People, with unusually long arms and agile bodies, took forest fruits as hard as stone and threw them with great force at the Flying Wood Dragon. Continuous "thwack, thwack" sounds echoed as they hit the wooden hull, causing it to wobble, veer off course, snag on tree branches, and crash into the ground.

The group felt surprised and panicked in that moment. The Long-Armed People thought this was an Immortal flying ship and, out of hatred, intentionally sabotaged it. They surrounded the Flying Wood Dragon lying on the ground. Upon seeing Noe in his Immortal noble form, they flew into a rage and immediately pelted his face with rotten, bruised fruit. A sour stench filled his nose; despite Noe's quick speed and reflexes, he was still hit due to the sheer volume. Everyone in the ship began to react and counter-attack.

At this time, a pair of Immortal guards saw the Flying Wood Dragon (a flying vessel similar to those of the Immortals) fall and rushed over, using magic to drive away the Long-Armed tribe. Although there were no fatalities, many Long-Armed People were quite seriously injured; cries of pain rang out as they were carried away by their tribesmen for treatment. The Immortal guards were half-immortals and immortals of great beauty, their clothing a blend of platinum and green, radiating a noble and cold aura.

They assisted Noe and the others with cold, arrogant faces. Throughout the process, they only spoke to Noe and ignored everyone else as if they didn't exist, using an ancient language—the language of the Ancient Immortals, also known as the language of Angels and Demons, the source language of magic, spoken with a very high, echoing, and majestic tone. When using this language, no one can lie; every lie told in this tongue will be punished by the Heavenly Dao itself.

Han Thuong had been here several times to visit Hoa Minh as a member of the Mysterious Ice Sect, so entry and exit were usually quite easy, requiring only a brief check. But this time was different; there were many inspections. During each check, one had to place a hand on the Crystal Ball of Truth and answer questions immediately. A feeling of discomfort and being scrutinized crept into Han Thuong's heart.

Tho Trung Sa, Sam Halfling, Merry Halfling, and the two bird sisters were all checked very thoroughly, from their belongings to the thoughts in their minds, each having a supervisor. Initially, Noe only had one supervisor and inspector, but then there were three, then five. They did not touch Noe's belongings; they only sat and spoke respectfully while taking notes, their attitude clearly different—vibrant and enthusiastic. The disparity in treatment left the group surprised and confused.

After the inspection, Hoa Minh (a half-immortal), a friend of the group, arrived. The group walked for a distance and then boarded an Immortal flying boat, heading straight for Hoa Minh’s house. There sat a large garden full of flowers, birds, and hovering bees and butterflies, surrounded by delicious fruit trees emitting the sweet scent of flowers and the smell of ripe fruit. Hoa Minh picked some fruit to share with everyone for dessert.

Han Thuong asked Noe: "What did they ask you earlier? Why did their attitude change so fast?"

Noe replied in a calm voice: "They asked for my true name and what my profession is."

Han Thuong asked curiously: "What did you say?"

Noe said: " Noe Sun and Prophet of the Heavenly Dao."

As if discovering something, Han Thuong’s eyes lit up with understanding: "Ah, I see. The Immortal race values Prophets very highly, so it makes sense they treated you so politely."

Hoa Minh, standing nearby and overhearing, said in an astonished voice: "What? You are of the Sun Elf Immortal Royalty? That's incredible!"

Han Thuong asked with a puzzled face: "Immortal Royalty? What does that mean?"

Hoa Minh replied, explaining enthusiastically: "It means a special Immortal! It makes even more sense now—how could there be a Prophet as free as Noe, going wherever he wants without a master or a patron?"

Han Thuong then remembered and said, his face clearly showing a grand realization: "Right, right, even the Heavenly Maiden, wife of the Mysterious Ice Sect Leader, respects Noe. How special must you be?"

Everyone looked at Noe with eyes of extreme admiration, their gazes sparkling with shock and reverence, making Noe very uncomfortable. He said: "Treat me normally; I don't like being looked at like that. It's very annoying."

Everyone laughed and continued into Hoa Minh’s house; the atmosphere became much more joyful and cozy.

That night, Noe sat in the corner of the room, opened his notebook, and read the ancient words of the Ancient Immortals. The notebook began to connect to the Akashic Records (the world library); this was a special ability only a Prophet possessed. The notebook began to display mechanical, dry lines about the events that had just occurred, calling itself the Heavenly Book.
