Zyrus too channeled his mana and activated the Avatar skill. The white marble walls which were trembling for a while finally broke apart.
*Boooom*
The entire castle was shattered into bits and pieces except the ivory throne. The glemorax king hovered in the sky while pointing his arms at Zyrus.
The twenty-meter-long arms were enough to rip apart the fabric of space on earth. It was fortunate that this place was assimilated with a foreign dimension. In a way both opponents had the home-ground advantage.
Still, with a skill like ‘Avatar’ and a title like ‘The Last Apostle’, Zyrus was ahead in terms of momentum.
The glemorax lord paused for a moment. The immense pressure of bloodline had narrowed the gap between their league of existence.
*Grrrrrrrrrr*
A hundred-meter-long eastern dragon was floating above the castle’s ruins. Zyrus could conjure the projection of a dragon by controlling mana in the sanctuary. On earth, things were fundamentally different.
The amount of control he had over earth’s mana was incomparable to sanctuary.
The black dragon opened his abyss-like eyes. One eye was calm and tranquil whereas the other showed a crazed intent of slaughter and destruction. This was the result of Zyrus’s merging with the world's laws.
His physique wasn’t strong enough to handle the excessive mana, but the fact changed under the synergistic effects of his title and skill. Although it was a forced and incomplete transformation, its might was nothing to scoff at.
*Roooooar*
Zyrus’s roar marked the start of their fight. Four gold and two crimson horns which adorned the glemorax king’s head, were now erupting with a sharp intent. Like a knife slicing through butter they tore through Zyrus’s accumulating mana.
Zyrus wasn’t in the mood to chatter at this time. Unlike the glemorax king, he couldn’t maintain this state for long.
He was unable to exert the full power of his new body. The silver lining was that with the overflowing mana he didn’t really need to. He clawed at the glemorax king’s chest, or to be precise, at the three eyes that were shining on his chest.
*Whiirl*
The claw marks transformed into five vortexes. But before they could exert any power, they were shredded by an unknown force.
‘A domain made from the source of sharpness…,’
Zyrus didn’t have the time to think further as two pincer-like hands were already at his throat.
*Roooar*
Instead of avoiding the attack, he used poison breath on the enemy. Zyrus’s recovery rates were off the charts in Avatar state. It was impossible to kill him unless every cell of his was disintegrated in the same instant.
There was an intense collision of energy as both their attacks landed on another. Zyrus had gained two deep holes on his scales, further showcasing his impressive defense.
The glemorax lord stepped back with a frown. He didn’t mind the lousy poison in the earlier attack. What alarmed him was the corrosive power of the abyss.
Although it couldn’t corrode his domain, the abyssal mana was hard to get rid of. It was like slashing at a pit of tar. The abyssal power was a good counter against the source of sharpness.
*Crrrrack*
The space cracked once again as the glemorax king drew back his arms. If he couldn’t slash the tar, then he’d just penetrate it with speed.
*Bang*
Before he knew it Zyrus was already smashed on the ground. Judging from the gaping holes in his heart and forehead, he didn’t need to guess what happened. His heart boiled in excitement despite the gaping injury. It had been a while since he had met a match in battle.

Zyrus slammed his tail on the ground and shot towards the glemorax king. But as he had guessed before, his speed was inferior compared to his foe. His jaws didn’t even catch the glemorax king’s shadow.
The glemorax king didn’t allow Zyrus to take the initiative. He interrupted the latter’s skill casting with two hands while his other hands drew a rune in the air.
The broken spires reassembled under the blood-red light. The entire castle was coming alive with the glemorax lord’s will.
[Shackles of Nihility]
Before the shackles could land on the spire, they were already destroyed by the sharp aura. It was a perfect counter.
‘Looks like I can only go all out.’
Zyrus grinned and stopped dodging the attacks. With a single thought he activated his source of origin. His current form wasn’t a coincidence.
His bloodline had the potential to evolve in any direction. Perhaps it was due to Nidraxis’s blood as he had a higher affinity with the dragonoid species. Before he had selected the azure dragon due to its unique advantages; and the same was true for the current abyssal dragon.
*Clang*Clang*Clang*
Golden bells rang on the reconstructed spires. The entire world seemed to resonate with their chimes.
*Rooooar*
Zyrus roared as he activated his bloodline powers and the abyssal mana simultaneously. Both of them combined were barely enough to stand against his source of origin. The laws of void held the power to erase everything from existence. Zyrus himself was no exception.
His strong willpower allowed him to resist the impact of void, but the same wasn’t true for his physical body. If he was careless then he’d become a scattered will without a body or soul.
‘Well, here goes nothing,’
Zyrus gritted his teeth and put his theory into practice. He wouldn’t dare to use such a method under normal conditions, but his current transformation as an abyssal dragon had a chance to succeed.
The eyes on the glemorax lord’s body achieved a complete resonance with the chiming bells. The sky was dyed in a deeper shade of red as 13 gigantic eyes manifested in front of the trembling black dragon.
Even the sun felt dim under the glaring lights of these eyes. Zyrus felt like the numerous white pupils were tearing apart his soul, but still, he didn’t stop his attack.
Zyrus spat a mouthful of blood as the invisible attack landed on his source of origin. He realized firsthand how Tauranox and Camazotz felt when he snuffed out their existence.
“You’re right, but I’ll fix that flaw thanks to you,” Zyrus spoke with a bloody grin and activated his skill. The contrasting powers of abyss and void were stabilized at this moment.
Even though his current state was temporary, it was enough.
[Curse of Uncertainty: Void Quandary]
There were no visible changes, and yet, the glemorax’s kings’ attacks missed their mark.
“Humans may be weak, but none can deny their intellect.”
It was hypocritical coming from someone who had given up on humanity. Nonetheless, Zyrus wasn’t one who shied away from the truth. The curse he made was based on Heisenberg's principle. It was impossible to determine a particle’s position and momentum at the same time.
The more accurate one was, the less you could find about the other. This theory showed the inherent unpredictability of particles at the quantum level. It was a profound concept that fit well with his plans.
Zyrus used the same principle to ‘dodge’ the glemorax king’s attack. Be it magical or physical attacks, they were directed at something in the end. Even the spells that targeted a mobile target or the archers' seeking arrows, all of them had to pinpoint a possible state.
But what if their target was a particle? Just by observing its position you would change its momentum. And if you focused on its momentum then it would change its position.
*Clang*Clang*Clang*
The bells chimed once again. It was an aoe attack that surrounded the entire battlefield, but even so, it was unable to injure Zyrus. Concept of Uncertainty worked in tandem with the laws of void to achieve that effect. The former made it impossible to target Zyrus, whereas the latter erased the attack that was now directionless.
It was as if Zyrus existed in another dimension altogether. In the eyes of the glemorax king, all of his attacks passed through the abyssal dragon without dealing any damage. He almost thought that the dragon in front of him was just a projection.
‘While it’s fun to annoy others with this principle, it’s too taxing for the current me,’
An enormous amount of mana was needed to treat a hundred-meter body as a particle. Besides, Zyrus didn’t create this skill to dodge and run away.
*Cracck*
The thirteen bells cracked at once. A black sphere was forming above the abyssal dragon. It was silent like the depths of the ocean, without any fluctuation of laws and mana.
The glemorax king stopped his attacks and used the bells to raise his defense. He knew very well that it was Zyrus who was in a hurry to finish the battle. He had no reason to rashly take on this eerie attack. The power emanating from it was far beyond what normal concepts could unleash at their level.
‘A clever bastard indeed.’
Zyrus clicked his tongue and ignored the rest. He wouldn’t have needed two months to integrate Heisenberg’s principle into his defense.
His goal was to use the unpredictability of the particles as a base and create a new curse. He wanted to integrate the concept of uncertainty with the powers of void and abyss.
He didn’t want a spell that made him invulnerable for a short time. What he wanted was an attack that could not be avoided by anyone.
‘Void Quandary’ was based on the mana attribute of abyss and the law of void. Zyrus used his abyssal domain- ‘Malediction’ as a base and added his bloodline power into it. This boosted the traits of abyssal mana so that it could stand firm under the influence of void.
One spread infinitely and corrupted everything in the vicinity, while the other erased everything from existence. The two principles were polar opposites in nature.
But what if they worked on the principle of uncertainty? The black sphere was the result of that.
“Descend.”
The amalgamation of void and abyss fell on the glemorax lord.
