Hey everyone! I know I've been taking a bit of an unplanned break from this story. Before we go any farther: I promise I'll be uploading more chapters soon, and I promise I'll finish it. Truth be told, I was feeling a little burnt out on it, and I really wanted to go back an edit the first volume.

  Well, the edits took a little longer than I thought and got pretty intensive. And I started running out of time before I planned on stubbing the story (but of course, new chapters will still be uploaded). But I didn't want to leave all the people who have supported it out without an edited copy of the first volume. Well, now it's April 15th, and I was planning on stubbing by the 30th (because Amazon's exclusivity rules...) Remember, only the first volume will have to go, and the others will stay up + new chapters will still come out on royal road.

  But back to edits. So, while I won't go back and change every chapter here, and I had made lots of changes, I wanted to give everyone a chance to read the first volume for free with its edits. It's about 90% finished, so I'll be posting a file in this google drive folder when it's done:

  The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

  You shouldn't have to download anything once I upload it. I'll put an update in a chapter note when it's available (in about ~a week), but for now, I've put some unfinished cover art drafts in there for now. (I'll also send out an update on the discord server: )

  This file will have to also be taken down when the story goes up on amazon, though, so there's a small window.

  As for the future of this story, I'm expecting the 3rd book to be the last. I'll be maintaining this continuity here for the third book, and this story will still get a satisfying conclusion (at least, I think it'll be, based on my plans). But since I've made some pretty serious changes in edits, if there are more books afterward, they'll end up being posted in a big file on google drive or on amazon.
