Chapter 1
Theo got a call.
“We need a temporary safe house or holding cell in Delaware,” another agent said.
“How many agents and prisoners are needed to set this up?” Theo asked.
“4 operators and 2 prisoners,” the agent said.
“All right, does it matter where in Delaware?” Theo said.
“No, somewhere rural is preferable,” the agent said.
“All right, I’ll have my guys work on it,” Theo said.
“Thanks, Warden,” the agent said and hung up.
Theo smirked. “That callsign, Warden, always makes me chuckle. It took me a couple of decades, but the callsign's significance is I am in charge of setting up safe houses in prisons or holding cells for one of the organizations in the government, or it could be that my family runs a prison—still not sure which; could be both,” Theo thought.
Calling up one of his subordinates,
“Hey Jimmy, we got another job. They need to set up a safe house in Delaware somewhere,” Theo said.
“You gotta be kidding me! Most of us are on the other side of the country right now, and why Delaware?” Jimmy complained.
The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“The doesn’t matter why. You’re paid to keep your mouth shut. Just go there with a couple of guys and build a safe house for Six, including two guests,” Theo said.
“Roger that, boss. We'll get it done,” Jimmy said.
“By Jimmy,” Theo said.
“By boss,” Jimmy said.
With that, Theo hung up.
“All right, while they are doing that, I need to check the permanent prisons currently not used for routine inspections,” Theo thought.
“System integrating.”
A voice entered Theo’s head.
“What the hell?” Theo screamed mentally.
As this was happening, a wave of something of a metaphysical nature hit him. Freaking out, another message appeared.
“Congratulations to the human beings of Earth!” Your universe has been successfully integrated with the multiverse. For a period of time, you’ll go through a tutorial to help you adjust to the reality of the multiverse. During that time, your planet and the universe will be introduced to mana,” the system said.
The message box in the middle of his vision was a light blue color and translucent. Upon seeing the information, he understood it on a fundamental level, and it did not hinder his vision in the slightest.
“What the fuck?” Theo thought.
“Transporting you to the tutorial zone in 3, 2, 1,” the system announcement said in his mind.
A feeling spread all across his body, and his vision went black. He felt like he was moving and standing still at the same time. Then, out of nowhere, a jolting feeling hit him, as if someone were playing tug-of-war with him, and he was the rope. The other pressure won, and he could see again when he opened his eyes. It was a rundown building that looked like a medieval and modern prison, which had been meshed together, and all around was a desolate landscape that, 200 meters from the prison, abruptly ended in the void. Outside the prison grounds, there was absolutely nothing. Theo looked up and saw a sun in the sky. It looked like an artificial sun because the light did not feel natural. The sky itself was a gray color, and it was also humid and hot, like in the middle of a desert.
“What… the… FUCK!!!!?” Theo screamed.
