[The Isekai Online Basics]
[Races]
[Written by: LowellWrites]
Welcome to my guide to
Before I can begin, this is not much of an official guide of sorts. But with your support, there's a chance the future guides will be sponsored by the game itself. I will also leave some links to the official resources such as the [Prologue Lore] of the game as well as the official wiki to give you more details about the features I will introduce in this guide.
The very first thing I want to introduce is a big fantasy MMORPG staple: [Races].
Choosing a [Race] depends on your playing style and it's an important decision you have to make because of it. Whether you want to follow the game's setting or customize your character's appearance or abilities is up to you. But it can be a bit daunting to a new player due to the pros and cons of their [Racial Bonuses]. So I will give a brief introduction to the 5 [Races] of
[Human]
With all staple fantasy races comes the normies themselves: [Humans].
Appearance-wise, they are the same as you and me. But when it comes to [Racial Bonuses], they have none.
Still, they make up for the lack of bonuses with +5 points to all stats at the start. It's not much, but it's a good jack-of-all-trades [Race] if you want to go with the normal of all.
I do hear there is a hidden bonus if you're acquainted with another [Race]. But so far, I haven't met anyone who has it. So take it with a grain of salt.
[Elf]
Another staple fantasy race to all Tolkien pretty boy fans out there.
Along with pointy ears, this [Race] grants [INT] or [Intelligence Bonus] to any [Magic Mastery]. This gives you a big boost in case you want to play as an [Elf] wizard.
If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
However, since this game doesn't have a job class system, you are not limited to magic alone. Swords, and archery, you can combine them with spells to create some unique combos and skills.
[Beastfolk]
Okay, I'll get this out of this for all furries out there. This [Race] lets you play as any half-beast such as a bear, wolf, fox, and any furry beast you can think of.
But appearance aside, [Beastfolk] is more of a physical side of bonuses with its [STR]/[Strength] and [VIT]/[Vitality]/Constitution on Weapon or Combat [Masteries]. I recommend choosing this if you want to play as a fighter or a tanky defender.
[Feles]
This is for the feline fans and that's all I can say before I say something that might ban me.
This [Race] focuses more on speed and agility with their [DEX]/[Dexterity] and [AGI]/[Agility] bonuses. Not only that, but some of its [Racial Skills] also grant them [Charisma] bonus that will aid you in your NPC interactions or any mind-based [Status Conditions] affliction.
[Insignis]
Now this one is a bit of a tricky one to figure out.
According to the official site, they are known as the "Messengers of Arcana" and possess a much larger [Mana] reserve than any race. Which is a surprise since I thought the [Elves] take that spot.
I did extra research on this [Race] and it didn't go so well since not many players play as an [Insignis]. Not even some forum posts along with some statements from beta testers didn't help with this part.
All I know from the official wiki is that they grant a bit of [INT] and [WIS]/[Wisdom] bonuses along with what they call a [Storyline Bonus].
I may post an additional guide dedicated to [Insignis] very soon. I'm doing my best to uncover more of this strange [Race] and see if they deserve as the "least popular race of
And that's all of the [Races] that were initially released on launch.
What is your favorite [Race]? And if you're planning to join the game soon, tell me the reason why. And if you have any questions about one of the [Races], leave them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.
I will be back tomorrow for the signature feature of
See you in the game, adventurers.
