Chapter 11: Looking at the Light
At night, there were dark shadows everywhere. Mo Yier took a large tree not far away as the target, and pulled open the slingshot with force. The tighter the slingshot was pulled, the farther the range would be.
Mo Yu'er has lived here for so long, and her strength has increased a lot. With a hard pull, the branch of the willow tree broke directly, and the upper half hit her hand, which hurt terribly.
Mo Yi'er furrowed his brow and rubbed his hands, looking at the bow that had broken before it was even launched, feeling extremely frustrated. It seemed that choosing a tree branch couldn't be done hastily after all. This branch was too flimsy. He let out a sigh. Forget it. When dawn breaks, he'll go find a few more branches to try and see which one is more suitable for making a bow.
Lying in a small downy ball propped up by wings in a sheltered harbor, Mo Yi'er entered a sweet dreamland.
It's been a long time since she had any dreams. But that night, she dreamed of returning to the village where she grew up. The villagers were overjoyed to see her and rushed to hug her. Especially Fang Ge and Chu Yan, who hugged Mo Yi tightly on both sides, making it hard for her to breathe. She struggled desperately and shouted: "Let go! I'm suffocating! Let me go!"
Suddenly opened his eyes and saw the old man's magnified smiling face. It turned out that he had just been playing a prank on himself, pinching his own nose.
"Hahaha..." The old man laughed with joy, without any shame or guilt for his age.
"Grandpa, what are you doing? Yawn. Let's take a look at the sun in the sky. It has risen very high. I guess we stayed up too late last night. We're still not fully awake now."
"Hurry up, I've prepared some wild vegetables. Let's make a wild vegetable soup." The old man tossed a handful of wild vegetables in front of Mo Yi'er and then sat down steadily by the bonfire, waiting for breakfast.
Mo Yu'er yawned again, feeling indignant in her heart. She had woken herself up over this matter. What an inconsiderate old man! But since she was already awake, her own stomach was also hungry. So she might as well prepare breakfast.
Vegetables and meat were simmering slowly in the stone pot. Mo Yier went to the lake to wash her hair. The lake was not far from the resting place, and she was now running at a speed two or three times faster than when she had just crossed over. So it wouldn't take long. Sometimes she would think that if she were to cross back to the 21st century again, maybe she could even participate in the Olympics and win some kind of sprinting championship.
The lake water is as clear as ever, and the koi fish are playing in the water. However, because she came to catch a few fish, the fish saw her and fled in all directions. She scolded with a smile, took off the animal skin coat on her body, and jumped directly into the lake water. Last night, I was busy making a slingshot and didn't clean myself properly. So I might as well come to take a bath in the morning.
The cool lake water made her shiver. Even though it wasn't winter, the morning lake water was still a bit cold. She quickened her pace. Suddenly, she felt a slight cramp in her lower abdomen and soreness in her waist. Hurriedly climbing up to the shore, this was indeed the prelude to Aunt Flo's arrival. There were no sanitary napkins here. She could only wait for her body to dry naturally. Now there was something that had been bothering her - sanitary pads.
When I was at the foot of the mountain, there were silkworms to make sanitary napkins. But here, she hasn't found any silkworms in the places she's been. What do they use to make sanitary napkins then?
She was tangled up. Her body had completely dried off. She went to grab the animal hide clothing that was placed aside.
"Meow~" The little furball woke up and came to find her, and happened to drink water by the lake. But as soon as he approached the lake, he saw a naked Mo Yier. His suppressed beastly nature was stirred up. Especially with Mo Yier's impending period, her whole body emitted a feminine scent that made it even harder for the little furball to suppress his instincts.
He directly pounced on Mo Yi'er, pinning her down with his two large paws. His massive head rubbed back and forth against Mo Yi'er's chest. Unlike before, this time he was filled with a wild and savage nature, scaring Mo Yi'er stiff. It wasn't until several seconds later that she struggled free. "Little Fluffball, what are you doing? Let me go! Let go!"
The little fluffy ball's ears moved slightly, and a look of distress appeared on its face. The smell at the tip of its nose made it unbearable. But he, who had already acquired human wisdom and brain in his desire to transform into a human form, told himself not to do anything that would hurt Mo Yi. However, his body was unwilling to leave.
"Ahhh-oh!"
Mo Yu'er heard it clearly. Xiao Rong's roar was extremely painful. She couldn't figure out what the situation was now: "Xiao Rong, what's wrong with you? Get down quickly, my bones are going to be crushed by you."
The golden pupils of the little fluffball looked at its own huge paws, and finally reluctantly jumped down from Mo Yi's body, restlessly walking back and forth beside Mo Yi.
Take advantage of this gap, Mo Yuer grabbed the animal skin clothes and put them on. The waist is getting more and more uncomfortable. It seems that Auntie is coming soon. Should hurry up and prepare sanitary napkins. But Xiao Rongqiu... it's not right at all. What's going on?
Mo Yu'er wanted to turn around and touch the little plush ball's head like before, but it dodged away and flew off with a "flap flap" sound.
Mo Yi's hand froze in mid-air, even more perplexed.
Waited for a long time, but Xiao Rong didn't come back. Had to head back to the resting place first. The vegetable soup was already cooked. The old man drank more than half of it. Only about one bowl's worth was left for Mo Yi'er.
Mo Yu'er didn't stand on ceremony. Her period was coming. She had just taken a cold shower. She needed hot soup to warm herself up.
The old man sitting next to him twitched his nose, gave Mo Yi'er a strange look and asked: "Where's my grandson? He went to find you. Didn't you see him?"
"I saw him. He was just by the lake too. Just a bit unusual. Then flew away. Don't know when he'll be back." Mo Yier sighed before answering. The old man seemed to understand, and asked again: "Mo Yier, do you like my grandson?"
"I like him. He used to be cute. Now he's handsome. I really like him." Mo Yier didn't think much and subconsciously blurted out her true feelings. This answer made the old man extremely happy.
"That's good. You'd better treat my grandson well from now on."
"That's for sure. Although he'll become... human later on, I'll still treat him like a pet."
"Don't remember, Mo Yu Er. After he transformed into a human form, apart from being Jin Shi, he is also a man. You should understand." The old man's words were full of meaning, hoping that his grandson's path wouldn't be too difficult to walk.
"Hmm... oh, I see." Mo Yier replied hesitantly. She was also struggling with this point. A lovely pet had turned into a man. How strange could it be?
You think, Xiao Rong Qiu's favorite thing is to lie on Mo Yi Er's body and act coquettishly, asking for hugs. What if he still does this after transforming into a human form? It would be awkward for himself and others would also find it strange.
"It's good that you know. When the time comes, he will treat you like the men in your tribe treat women." Thanks for the daily flowers, Xuestra!
